Double Dose of Action at Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals in Atlanta | Coverage by Edelbrock

Santa Ana, CA – The pits were packed and the stands were stuffed at the 11th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals by MAHLE Motorsport, April 4-7 at Atlanta Dragway.

That’s where drivers in both series made every effort to wheel their cars to the coveted Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle, and they put up plenty of personal bests and potential records along the way.

On the NMCA side, drivers in VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod put on a show while pushing their cars to the limit. Among them was Daniel Pharris, who stopped the clocks at 3.72 in his Mustang to lead qualifying. Several competitive rounds later, he made it to the final. There he lined up alongside Don Walsh Jr., who, like Pharris, had been consistent and quick all weekend. The tight race saw Walsh Jr. take the win with a 3.72 in his Corvette to Pharris’ 3.75.

NMCA Wraps up Stellar Season With World Street Finals

Santa Ana CA – The competition was aggressive, all-out and astonishing at the final NMCA Muscle Cars Nationals of the year, the 17th Annual NMCA World Street Finals presented by Chevrolet Performance at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indiana. There were wicked wheelies, powerful passes and plentiful personal bests as drivers were dead-set on cruising to the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle and class championships.

2018 Champions Will Be Crowned!

The NMCA is returning to Lucas Oil Raceway this year as The 17th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Finals roll in to town September 21st-September 23rd.

Coming into this final race of the 2018 season there are, as usual, many classes where the class champion won’t be decided until the final rounds of the race.

This season by far has been the strongest in recent history for VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod, where each race has seen on average, more than 20 cars try to make the 16-car show.

Supercharged, Nitrous and Turbocharged combinations have all been represented in this record-setting season, but who will end up walking across the stage later this year at the NMCA Champions Awards Ceremony is a toss up as several drivers all have a shot at taking home a championship.

One thing is guaranteed – those in contention will let out all the stops as they search for that tiny edge to get them to the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle on Sunday.

Race Wrap from the 17th Annual Honeywell Garrett NMCA All-American Nationals

Featured classes, Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series & 50th Anniversary Ford Performance Cobra Jet Reunion presented by TascaParts.com

Santa Ana CA – The second to last stop on the 2018 NMCA tour, the 17th Annual Honeywell Garrett NMCA All-American Nationals featuring the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series, could make or break it for some racers chasing the championship. With nerves on edge and tunes set to kill, the world’s fastest street cars descended on Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, over the weekend of August 24-26, 2018 for another epic drag racing event.

Additionally, the 50th Anniversary Ford Performance Cobra Jet Reunion presented by TascaParts.com was in full swing with a mind-boggling array of historic, vintage, and priceless Cobra Jet cars on display for fans to enjoy. Although there was a bit of rain on Saturday and overnight into Sunday, the soggy sod didn’t dampen the spirits of the fans in attendance or the 500-plus racecars and hundreds of show cars.

The biggest, baddest machines on the property enjoyed a thirty-four car field in VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod. Demotte, Indiana, resident and points leader Jason Hamstra claimed the top honors in qualifying when he coaxed a cool 3.724 at 204.23 mph hit from his supercharged ’69 Camaro. Hamstra was still in the running by the time the final round rolled around, and was scheduled to go up against the number two qualifier, Don Walsh Jr, but Walsh hurt the drivetrain in his Corvette in the semi-finals bad enough that he wasn’t able to make the call to the start the next time out. Hamstra then opted instead to claim his victory by simply breaking the beams and saving any wear and tear on parts, ending the weekend on a high note.
