2018 Champions Will Be Crowned!

The NMCA is returning to Lucas Oil Raceway this year as The 17th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Finals roll in to town September 21st-September 23rd.

Coming into this final race of the 2018 season there are, as usual, many classes where the class champion won’t be decided until the final rounds of the race.

This season by far has been the strongest in recent history for VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod, where each race has seen on average, more than 20 cars try to make the 16-car show.

Supercharged, Nitrous and Turbocharged combinations have all been represented in this record-setting season, but who will end up walking across the stage later this year at the NMCA Champions Awards Ceremony is a toss up as several drivers all have a shot at taking home a championship.

One thing is guaranteed – those in contention will let out all the stops as they search for that tiny edge to get them to the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle on Sunday.

Regardless of your taste in drag racing, this race will have you covered. From the big tire action of Pro Mod to the small tire antics of Radial Wars, Street Outlaw and Xtreme Street. A class, which has become a favorite the past few years at Indy has been the “FAST” (Factory Appearing Stock Tire) group. Based in the Midwest, these racers roll out in cars that look factory original all the way down to the stock sized tires the car rolled out of the dealership with. Looks however can be deceiving, as many of these cars have been modified, resulting in some impressive runs, considering they are running on non-drag strip friendly rubber.
