Chevrolet Performance Inks 3-Year Contract Extension with NMCA Muscle Car Nationals
Santa Ana, CA – The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals is proud to announce a 3-year contract with one of the most recognizable names in 
motorsports—Chevrolet Performance. The deal includes Chevrolet Performance sponsored integration of LSX-based categories into the NMCA championship drag racing program, the 15th annual LSX Shootout (World Wide Technology Raceway May 13-16, 2021), the 3rd annual COPO Camaro Shootout (Summit Motorsports Park August 26-29), and a presenting sponsorship of the NMCA World Street Finals at Lucas Oil Raceway September 23-26.
“We celebrate a 15 year relationship with Chevrolet Performance by signing a 3-year contract with them, extending their support through the 2023 season. They helped launch the LSX engine program in 2005 and provided a stable and consistent event series for LS/LT-based enthusiasts,” said Steve Wolcott, founder and CEO of ProMedia Events & Publishing, the parent company of the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals.

2021 NMCA Muscle Car Nationals Event Schedule
Santa Ana, CA – The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals returns to action in 2021 with six national events held at legendary motorsport facilities. The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals is home to thousands of vintage and modern vehicles participating across championship drag racing, street-legal competition, and car show arenas.
“It wasn’t easy but we’ve managed to get our 2021 schedule out extremely early and we’ll be visiting some awesome markets next year. The facilities are top-notch, allowing our racers to compete at high levels and creating a pleasurable fan experience,” said Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director of the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals.
NMCA kicks off the year once again at fabled Bradenton Motorsports Park but this time it’s a week later when compared to previous seasons. The tour then moves north of Atlanta for the massive NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals in April. There’s big action in May at the Gateway to the West when the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing takes place at World Wide Technology Raceway. Following a brief mid-season break is the NMRA/NMCA Power Festival at US 131 Motorsports Park, which becomes a regular tour stop after last year’s wildly successful event. Summit Motorsports Park is back on the schedule in 2021 hosting the prestigious NMCA All-American Nationals. The season concludes once again at Lucas Oil Raceway just outside of Indianapolis with the NMCA World Street Finals.
Perseverance and Power Prevail at 19th Annual Nitrous Supply NMCA World Street Finals presented by Chevrolet Performance
Indianapolis, IN – While a global pandemic made parts of the 2020 season problematic, racers persisted and put it all on the line at the 19th 
Annual Nitrous Supply NMCA World Street Finals presented by Chevrolet Performance, Sept. 24-27 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indiana.
Wicked wheel-to-wheel passes were abundant at the final NMCA event of the year, where racers were competing for points, championships and a chance to celebrate in the Aerospace Components Winner’s and Champion’s Circle.
High horsepower from VP Racing Lubricants Xtreme Pro Mod cars made the ground shake, and it was felt for sure when Eric Gustafson goosed the gas pedal in his Coast Packing and PTP Racing-tuned Camaro for a big, smokey burnout and a 3.66 to set the pace in the category. He went on to another 3.66 to win over Randy Adler, who was absolutely no slouch with a 3.74 in the final round of eliminations.
Bill Skillman sailed to a 7.58 in his very muscular Mustang Cobra Jet to set the pace in Holley EFI Factory Super Cars, and by Sunday, he was in the Aerospace Components Winner’s and Champion’s Circle with a 7.70 after Tripp Carter clicked it red, but ran it out to a 7.69 in his Mustang Cobra Jet.

Santa Ana, CA – The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals is thrilled to announce the NMCA All-American Nationals is returning to Summit 
Motorsports Park (Norwalk, Ohio) in 2021 with a five-year contract extension. The national event moves back to its regular weekend of August 26-29, 2021.
The NMCA All-American Nationals is one of the biggest stops on the NMCA tour and was moved to an alternate location in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s returning to its home for 2021 through 2025 and will also include the Chevrolet Performance COPO Camaro Shootout Presented by COPO Parts Direct and the Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown Presented by Watson Racing. In addition to factory drag racing shootouts there are other unique features like specialty street car categories for Dodge//Mopar Gen III Hemi Shootouts and TorqStorm Superchargers True Street.

NMCA World Champions Will Be Celebrated at the NMCA World Street Finals in Indy
Santa Ana, CA – The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals will be celebrating the 2020 World Champions during a special Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle party on Sunday September 27, 2020, at the conclusion of the Nitrous Supply NMCA World Street Finals Presented by Chevrolet Performance, held at the historic Lucas Oil Raceway just outside of Indianapolis. Class champions will be presented with the special Edelbrock Victor Championship Trophy and prestigious Nitto Tire Diamond Tree Champion ring. This special celebration is the replacement for the cancelled Performance Racing Industry trade show that normally hosts the NMCA Awards Ceremony.
NMCA racing officials will be processing points in near real-time in order to declare category champions as quickly as possible. A second Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle will be used to properly honor the 2020 champions, their family and friends, and sponsors. The NMCA Media Division will be recording exclusive interviews with the champions, giving them an opportunity to present their champion’s speech. These videos will be produced and circulated across social media, giving our champions a platform to properly recognize their biggest supporters.
15th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing Presented by HPJ Performance
Madison, IL – While rain threatened to steal the racers’ thunder, it wasn’t able to as they dug in and dispatched profuse power during the 
Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl presented by HPJ Performance, July 30-August 2 at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois.
They were aiming for the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle and the storied Super Bowl shootout portion of the event, where NMCA winners and NMRA winners run off for a coveted Nitto Tire Diamond Tree Championship Ring, cash and a claim to fame. This marked the first time the event, traditionally held at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois, was contested at World Wide Technology Raceway, and it was a success.
On the NMCA side, the VP Racing Lubricants Xtreme Pro Mod category was as cutthroat as ever, with most of the racers recording 3-second runs in qualifying, and leading the charge was Jim Widener, who wheeled to a 3.70 in his Corvette. The Indiana-based hot-shoe hauled to the final round of eliminations to face California-based ace Eric Gustafson. Either driver could have won the edge-of-your-seat race, but Widener got to the finish line first, despite an explosion under his car, with a 3.74, and Gustafson was not far behind with a 3.78.
NMCA Race Wrap — Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals
Commerce, GA – While the Coronavirus pandemic pushed pause on the 2020 NMCA and NMRA season, drivers in both series pushed play at 
the 12th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals, June 25-28 at Atlanta Dragway. If they were rusty from the recess, they didn’t show it, as they put down plenty of power while pursuing the coveted Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle in the Peach State.
On the NMCA side, Adam Flamholc flew to a 3.73 in his Corvette to set the pace in VP Racing Lubricants Xtreme Pro Mod, where all but two drivers in the category also posted 3-second passes despite high heat and heavy humidity. The stellar Swedish driver was determined all weekend long, and won with a 3.85 against Craig Sullivan, who was no slouch before being forced to click off at 4.05 in his Daytona.
In Mickey Thompson/VP Racing Madditives Street Outlaw, Alan Felts arrived at a 4.42 in his Mustang to lead qualifying, but Phil Hines was hungry for yet another win in his Mustang, and got it, after a tight 4.50-to-4.51 matchup against Tony Hobson and his Mustang in the final round.
NMRA/NMCA All-American Nationals Moves to US 131 Motorsports Park August 27-30, 2020
Martin, MI – The NMRA/NMCA All-American Nationals will be contested at US 131 Motorsports Park (Martin, MI) over the weekend of 
August 27-30, 2020. The change in venue is due to Summit Motorsports Park’s decision to remain closed for 2020 as they regroup and plan for a return to action in 2021.
“It has been a crazy year but one that is rewarding as we made new friends with Jason Peterson and his staff at US 131 Motorsports Park. The facility is ready for us as we bring one of most-action packed events of the year to Michigan. Not only will the NMRA and NMCA championship series and our line-up for street-legal categories be on the property, we are also hosting the Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown presented by Watson Racing and Chevrolet Performance COPO Camaro Shootout presented by COPO Parts Direct,” said Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director for the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and NMCA Muscle Car Nationals.
US 131 Motorsports Park’s VP of Operations Jason Peterson said, “We are excited to host one of the top traveling series in the drag racing industry. This is a series that we have admired and tried to procure for many years.” Peterson continued, “We are thrilled to get this event, as we are competing against other major markets such as Chicago, Memphis and Indianapolis. This will be a great addition to our schedule at The Fastest Track in Michigan.”
New Location—Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing Moves to St. Louis!
Due to the COVID-19 crisis and based on the Illinois regional plan, it is unlikely the Chicago-area will reopen for a spectator event in a 
reasonable amount of time. The Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing Presented by HPJ Performance has been moved to World Wide Technology Raceway outside of St. Louis (Madison, IL) the weekend of July 30 – August 2, 2020.
“We’re very comfortable scheduling an event in the southern part of Illinois for the end of July based on the Illinois Motorsport Coalition reopening proposal that was presented to the state this week,” said Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director at ProMedia Events and Publishing, the parent company of the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and NMCA Muscle Car Nationals. “Chris Blair and World Wide Technology Raceway are ready to help us pull-off this unique event as both the NMRA and NMCA are getting back to the business of drag racing.”
The relocation of the Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing Presented by HPJ Performance to World Wide Technology Raceway has been one of several adjustments to both the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and NMCA Muscle Car Nationals sanctioning bodies. Due to the COVID-19 crisis the schedule has been revamped a few times.
POSTPONED—NMRA/NMCA Power Festival at World Wide Technology Raceway
ProMedia Events & Publishing is POSTPONING the Scoggin Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA Power Festival presented by HPJ 
Performance at World Wide Technology Raceway May 28-31 due to COVID-19 pandemic and current regulations.
“We are postponing the event and we are working with Chris Blair and his staff on a variety of options to make this event happen. It is no surprise what is going on in the country and how it has impacted the motorsports industry but we are very confident that we will make this event happen in 2020. We just ask for some patience from our racers, fans, and sponsors on the final date as we move some puzzle pieces around to make them fit properly,” stated Steve Wolcott, Founder and President of ProMedia Events & Publishing.
Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director shared some comments as well, “To say this situation is complicated would be an understatement. We worked with Chris Blair on a variety of plans and were prepared to pull off our national event under some extreme guideline conditions, if we were given the opportunity to do so. Unfortunately the Illinois State Guidelines just won’t allow us to facilitate an event of this size at this time. We wanted to get the word out immediately to our racers, sponsors, fans so they can adjust their travel plans accordingly.”
