NHRDA Crowns Six New Drag Racing World Champions!

Ennis, TX – Competitors and spectators traveled from all over the United States & Canada to converge upon the Texas Motorplex to see NHRDA World Finalsfirst hand who would be crowned NHRDA 2013 World Champion.

Friday night qualifying went off with any problems at all. Wade Moody set a new NHRDA Pro Stock record under the lights at the Texas Motorplex. Saturday was going great until Mother Nature decided that it was time to start raining pushing the final rounds of eliminations to Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon the NHRDA crowned six World Champions.

John Robinson made his first appearance at the race track since his little mishap with the wall back in May. Robinson is always a strong competitor and he was looking to win the World Championship.

Congratulations to all the 2013 NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series National Champions!

Ennis, TX – The NHRDA have crowned the 2013 NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series National Champions at the NHRDA World Finals. This NHRDAwas the first season for the NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series and the NHRDA saw pullers travel long distances just to pick up those valuable National Championship points. Pullers earned points at each of the NHRDA Sled Pulls this season and pullers who had the most points were crowned the NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series National Champions for the first time.

Brad Deeter and his “Pullin’ to Please” Dodge will go into the World Finals with the National Championship Points lead. Deeter has placed at both the Texas Diesel Nationals and the Indiana Diesel Shootout. The Deeter crew will be making the long haul from Pennsylvania looking to clinch the first ever NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series Super Stock Diesel National Championship.

Deeter needs to purchase a tech card and pass tech and then he will be crowned the first ever NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series Super Stock National Champion.

Drag Racing National Championship Points battle heats up as competitors head to the Texas Motorplex for the NHRDA World Finals !

2013 MBRP Diesel Drag Racing Series

Top Diesel
NHRDA-Points ChaseJared Jones and the Scheid Diesel dragster head to the World Finals ranked #1 in the nation and holding onto a slim 30 point lead over Dawna Kraus. Jones is really is looking forward to the World Finals since it will be his first chance at clinching the MBRP Diesel Drag Racing Series National Champions.

But since the World Finals is a double points event, you never know who is going to leave with the National Championship.

Pro Stock
The rookie driver Gage Makinen heads into the World Finals with the points lead but only by 30 points. This has been a career year for Gage as he has picked up wins in Redding and Mission.

Wade Moody will be looking at the World Finals as the chance to over take his rival Makinen in the National Championship. Moody will have a chance at setting a new national record in both ET and MPH and that will be 10 extra points for each. The World Finals will decide the National Championship.

Champions Crowned at the NHRDA Big Sky Truck Fest presented by G & J Diesel!

ACTON, MT – The NHRDA Big Sky Truck Fest was a great event with racers and pullers converging onto Yellowstone Drag Strip for a Dawna Krausday full of MBRP Diesel Drag Racing Series and NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series action. In Top Diesel, Dawna Kraus picked up her second consecutive MBRP Cup as she defeated Wade Moody in the final. Moody was pulling double duty at the Big Sky Truck Fest he did pick up the win in Pro Stock.

Donovan Harris won the Pro Street class. In Super Street, Wade Minter came all the way from Texas to pick up the win. Ryan DuBois did the first double up of the season as he won both Super Diesel and Sportsman.

After a sudden thunderstorm hit the track after the drag races, the sled pull got started. The CMG Construction crew from Billings, MT spent all day getting the track ready and they had to do even more after the rain hit but they did a great job. In Super Stock Jeremi Jorgenson took the win with a 341.6 ft pull. Kevin Wiebe won the 3.0 class with a pull of 300.0 ft. 2.6 class went to Devin Dahlin with a pull of 414.3ft.

Champions crowned at the JB’s Power Centre NHRDA Canadian Diesel Shootout

Edmonton, AB – The JB’s Power Centre NHRDA Canadian Diesel Shootout turned out to be one of the biggest events ever for the Top Diesel - Dawna Kraus NHRDA. The stands were packed all day long with all the great Canadian fans and they made sure that vendor row was busy too. In Top Diesel Dawna Kraus took home her second ever MBRP Cup. Aaron Schaff won his first ever NHRDA Pro Stock event with a win over Gage Makinen. In Pro Street Jarid Vollmer added another victory to his career best season. Pat Liskey added more National Championship points to his total with his Super Street win. Verlon Southwick won Super Diesel for the third year in a row. Levi Ballantyne took the win in Sportsman.

TOP DIESEL

Dawna Kraus was the winner in Top Diesel with a run at 10.580 seconds and 114.44 mph. This was her second MBRP Cup ever.

NHRDA Crowns Champions at Carolina Diesel Nationals

ROCKINGHAM, NC – The Carolina Diesel Nationals turned out to be a great first year event for the NHRDA at Rockingham Dragway in Suncoast ShootoutRockingham, North Carolina. Some of the top competitors from the east coast turned out for the inaugural event. In the SunCoast Transmissions Pro Street Shootout saw Darren “The Godfather” Morrison take the win over Seth Sullivan. In Super Diesel George Peppard took the win. In Sportsman Trey Sikes and his ’10 VW picked up his first career victory.

The NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling series portion of the event was rained out. The area around Rockingham had been getting rain all day long and after only just finishing the drag racing the rain storm hit the track. The pullers and the fans stuck around to see if the rain would let up but it finally got too late and the NHRDA had to cancel the sled pull for the Carolina Diesel Nationals.

SunCoast Transmissions Pro Street Shootout $10,000 Payout!!!

Rockingham, NC -SunCoast Transmission and the NHRDA have partnered together to announce the 2013 SunCoast Transmissios Pro Suncoast ShootoutStreet Shootout at the Carolina Diesel Nationals on July 27th at Rockingham Dragway.

SunCoast and NHRDA will be offering the Pro Street class a guaranteed purse of $10,000 if 16 trucks show up at the event.Over the past few years the Pro Street class has been getting faster and faster with some of the best racing in the NHRDA happening in the Pro Street class.
