Woodburn, OR – The NHRDA and a number of national sponsors have teamed up to offer a special raffle at the NHRDA Pacific Coast Diesel Nationals presented by ISSPRO on June 29th at Woodburn Dragstrip in Woodburn, Oregon. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the JAKESAKE charity. Tickets for the raffle contest are $2.00 for 1, $5.00 for 3 and $10.00 for 6.

Tickets will be available at the NHRDA trailer throughout the day. Winners will be drawn and then announced over the PA so if you buy a raffle ticket make sure to listen to the PA during the event. Winners must be present to win. Once a ticket has been drawn it will not go back into the draw. All winners must report to the NHRDA booth within 30 minutes of their number being drawn to claim their prizes.

Jake Dering was born with an extremely rare genetic disorder called Oto-Palato-Digital Syndrome Type II. This syndrome is so rare that there have been only 40 known cases reported worldwide since 1960. The family was given very little information about OPD, although they were told that those few people who are diagnosed with OPD typically don’t make it past 6 months of age due to respiratory failure. Woodburn, OR – The NHRDA and Motor Mania TV have teamed up again to offer live event coverage of the 2013 NHRDA Pacific Coast Diesel Nationals presented by ISSPRO. Motor Mania TV will be on hand for the entire event to provide a live video feed via LIVESTREAM to all NHRDA fans and racers that won’t be able to make it to the race.

Indianapolis, IN – Jarid Vollmer has set the NHRDA Pro Street world on its head with his record breaking weekend at the NHRDA Indiana Diesel Shootout.  Vollmer laid down the quickest pass in NHRDA Pro Street history in the first round of qualifying with an 8.81. One of the cool things about the run was he was the first truck to run during qualifying so all his competitors had to sit back and watch as he we almost .3 tenths lower than the record.

Vollmer was still going to have to back up the record if he wanted it to stay.  And he would back up the 8.81 with an even quicker run of 8.70 in eliminations.  Vollmer was not able to back up the 8.70 as he had some mechanical failure in the final round.

Every NHRDA Pro Street truck across the nation now knows that the gauntlet has been laid down by Jarid Vollmer and the Bully Dog team.

Woodburn, OR – ATP Trucks and the NHRDA have partnered together to announce the 2013 ATP Super Street Shootout at the Pacific Coast Diesel Nationals on June 29th at Woodburn Dragstrip. Super Street has become one of the most popular classes in NHRDA and with the amount of vehicles here on the west coast in the Super Street this is the perfect event to try this format for Super Street. Woodburn is one the best race tracks on the west coast with an all concrete racing surface this has the possibility to be one of the quickest tracks on the NHRDA tour.

“ATP has really stepped up with this sponsorship. We are hearing from trucks coming from all over the west coast and from Canada planning on attending this event. Word on the street is that a couple of trucks from the east coast could make their way to Woodburn Dragstrip to get their shot at the big money,” said Randy Cole, President of the NHRDA.

Indianapolis, IN – The 6th Annual NHRDA Indiana Diesel Shootout turned out to be the record breaking race in the NHRDA MBRP Diesel Drag Racing Series. In Pro Stock Wade Moody shattered the current NHRDA Pro Stock record with a pass of 7.48 in first round of qualifying, Jarid Vollmer came out of nowhere to run an 8.70 pass, and Jared Jones ran a 215.34 mph pass in the finals of Top Diesel. But only Vollmer was able to back up a record run. Vollmer has a new NHRDA Pro Street record of 8.81 at 157.08 mph.

After the drag racing concluded the action switched over to the brand new NHRDA permanent sled pull track at Lucas Oil Raceway. Shane Kellogg continued his dominance at the Indiana Diesel Shootout with his repeat win in Super Stock Diesel. Curt Haisley took top honors in the 3.0 Diesel class with his entry. In the 2.6 class John Shriver took home the win and the trophy.
