NHRDA Crowns Champions at Carolina Diesel Nationals
ROCKINGHAM, NC – The Carolina Diesel Nationals turned out to be a great first year event for the NHRDA at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, North Carolina. Some of the top competitors from the east coast turned out for the inaugural event. In the SunCoast Transmissions Pro Street Shootout saw Darren “The Godfather” Morrison take the win over Seth Sullivan. In Super Diesel George Peppard took the win. In Sportsman Trey Sikes and his ’10 VW picked up his first career victory.
The NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling series portion of the event was rained out. The area around Rockingham had been getting rain all day long and after only just finishing the drag racing the rain storm hit the track. The pullers and the fans stuck around to see if the rain would let up but it finally got too late and the NHRDA had to cancel the sled pull for the Carolina Diesel Nationals.
