JESEL JOINS GROWING LIST OF 2013 ADRL SPONSORS
Lake St. Louis, MO — Officials from the American Drag Racing League announced that industry giant Jesel will join a growing list of major companies to sponsor the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech. Jesel will post $24,000 in contingency during the 2013 season.
“We have a very strong relationship with the ADRL and their racers,” said Jesel’s Rob Remesi. “The excitement at their events is second to none and we are proud to be back on board for 2013.”
Tim McAmis Race Cars Announces Full Support Of X-DRL
HAWK POINT, MO – Tim McAmis Race Cars (TMRC) has been a longtime supporter of doorslammer drag racing.
For the 2013 racing season, that support will include a prominent partnership with the X-treme Drag Racing League (XDRL), a new eighth-mile sanctioning body that will debut with a nine-race schedule starting in April.
“This will be the only1/8-mile drag racing series that we will be supporting in 2013, and we are excited to be working with the X-DRL for the coming season and to attend each event,” TMRC Owner Tim McAmis said.
“Tim McAmis Race Cars and Tim McAmis Performance Parts (TMPP) are going to support the X-DRL 100 percent and we will be doing whatever we can to help promote the series.”
Kon Rodz Racing Signs Sparco, Sadi for 2013 Season
KING, ON – The weeks leading up to the start of a new season are exciting for any race team, but they’re much more exciting for the Kon Rodz Racing Top Alcohol Funny Car team. The Canadian group is ready to escape the frigid climate of the north to begin the 2013 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series championship season in the sunny south. The high expectations set last year just add to the enthusiasm.
“2012 was a great season for our team, our sponsors, and our fans. We proved that we have what it takes to qualify on top and win rounds. I think a lot of people really started to pay attention to us after the back-to-back final round appearances in Chicago and Norwalk. TNT Super Series Adds Two More Dates and Finalizes 2013 Schedule
CANFIELD, ON – The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series has finalized its schedule with two new dates added, making for a thirteen race season in 2013.
Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY will see the 10.90 sportsman series return on Saturday May 25th and Saturday August 24th. Both of these dates are on the same weekend as a Friday night TNTSS race at Lancaster, creating two more double race weekends for TNTSS competitors.
With the recently announced changes in the event payouts, the 2013 season looks to be the most exciting yet for 10.90 racers in the northeast.

Former champion to debut new Firebird Pro Modified for 2013 season
CONCORD, ON – After a year’s absence, 2011 Pro Modified Racing Association champion Vito Montesano is returning. I’ve missed it a lot, Montesano said about his year away from the PMRA. I need the fix, it gets in your veins.
Montesano will be returning with a new car for 2013, a Vanishing Points Race Cars 1968 Firebird. The Firebird will be powered by a 522-cubic inch Brad Anderson (BAE) Hemi from the shops of ERD (Engine Research & Development) of Jordan Station, Ontario with a C-Rotor Screw-type Supercharger from PSI Superchargers and tweaked by ERD. A Lenco three-speed with a Coan Racing torque converter sits behind the engine.

First Regional Race of the Year Has Ahten Looking Back
Chandler, AZ – Been there, done that. Johnny Ahten and the Ahten Racing Team are looking to go back to a familiar place. This weekend they are racing at Firebird International Raceway, but that is not the place. They want to get back to running in the 5.30’s. The Ahten Racing Team are done waiting.
“We have to get this thing back in the 30’s,” said Ahten. “We have run mid-to-low 30’s at Firebird in the past and I know we can do it again. A few years ago we even qualified number one. We have the parts, the knowledge, and the ability. Now we just have to go out and make it happen.”
