Summit Motorsports Park and Trackside Offer Online Ticketing for Racers
Norwalk, OH – Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio has taken its technology to the next level, as it has partnered with Trackside for
an online ticketing system for racers.
Racers can use Trackside to register for races, build an online profile and store information about their race cars, contacts, health concerns and people to reach in case of emergency. The system handles digital tech cards and digital waivers.
“Trackside was purpose-built for motorsports events, and once racers build a profile, they can sign up for a race in a matter of seconds,” said Jason Kennedy, Chief Technology Officer for Trackside, which is based in Canton, Ohio. “Tech will still physically inspect cars, but rather than taking paper from each racer, they will have an iPad which shows them the racer’s digital tech card, and racers can pre-sign that through a Smart phone or computer, or sign in digitally on-site through the tech inspector. Once the tech inspector verifies that a racer’s vehicle has passed inspection, the software digitally informs race control, which allows for greater efficiency.”
