The ADRL.us Family Scenario – Never Forget, No Good Deed Goes Unnoticed
By Camp Stanley
Hagerstown, MD – These time worn words we often hear, The ADRL.us Family, is definitely more than just an analogy! It is a real, true, living, breathing factual entity that really
does exist. And exist it does, not only in the heads and hearts of those of us who are believers, but in actual actions. This family thought process lives not only at the race tracks across this wide USA we reside in but also up and down the highways and byways we travel on! And we at Stanley & Weiss Racing are one of teams who can attest to the camaraderie that exists across the ADRL teams.
The one thing that does not enter into this equation is the class “I’m better than you” thought processes that have come to pass in other organizations! This part first came to light to me along I-10 in Louisiana where I sat with only ONE of our 2010 dilemmas! As I sat along the interstate highway on a Sunday morning awaiting a tire vendor my friend, Shawn Davis’ bride had found for me I had at least 4 teams across all classes pull up and back up the interstate to see if we needed any help. That My Friends, is what “family” does for “family”!
Schweigert Breaks Track Record, Rolls To Rd 1 PXM Victory In Qatar

DOHA, QATAR – Terry Schweigert was so close so many times in 2010, finishing as a runner-up in four different Pro Extreme Motorcycle races in the American Drag Racing League (ADRL). After Friday, Schweigert likes this side of the
winner’s circle much better.
In Round One of the Arabian Drag Racing League at Qatar Race Club, Schweigert was impressive, breaking into the win column by running a 4.14 in the finals to soak in the spoils of his first championship moment in either the ADRL or the Arabian Series. “This is just incredible. What an awesome experience,” said Schweigert, who finished second in points in the ADRL in 2010. “This is just unbelievable. It hasn’t really sunk in yet.
“We’re just sitting in our room with the trophy on our mantle. This trip is already worth it.” Seven races remain in the Arabian series that runs through February, but Schweigert is already beaming after just one week. The same can be said for Pro Extreme standout Joshua Hernandez, who won his debut race in Qatar as part of the Bahrain Racing team.

H
is first foray into driving in Qatar is quickly off to a fine start. The 2009 Pro Extreme World Champion in the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) is the leader after two rounds of qualifying on Thursday during Round 1 of the eight-race series in the Arabian Drag Racing League at Qatar Race Club.
In a loaded field, Tutterow took an early lead in Pro Extreme, going 3.74, which comes on the heels of going as quick as 3.68 in what was a productive test session. “I’m staying pretty busy, but things have been good,” said Tutterow, who is also tuning the car of PX driver Bader Ali. “We’ve been doing a lot of testing and hopefully it works out (well).” Due to weather and a crash in Pro Nitrous, only two qualifying sessions were completed on Thursday in all classes. Racers will get a third session on Friday before eliminations begin for Round 1.

Updates Underway at Stanley & Weiss for the 2011 ADRL Season
By Camp Stanley: Post Date: 11/21/2010
Hagerstown, MD – We are well on the way with all of our planned updates and changes to the ADRL Pro Extreme Camaro known as “Appalachia on Steroids”. The best thing we can say about this would be the fact that we sure are glad the 2010
season is over!!! All those that follow the trials and tribulations of our team know that we have just come off of the year from Hades!
If you can think of something dumb happening believe you me, it happened to us this year! Dumb, stupid stuff with the car. Dumb, stupid stuff with poor ole Clifford, the Big Red Dog. Dumb stupid stuff with our trailer. AND don’t even ask me about tires!!! The only good thing going for us in the tire department was our beloved Mickey Thompsons on the race car. They did their job very well all year, thank you very much. But the 2010 season has been completed and through all these dilemmas we persevered. The checkbooks got real thin at the end but we made it through. We are very proud of our TENTH place ranking in the ADRL Pro Extreme class we secured at years end. To finish this high out of EIGHTY-FIVE cars in the baddest class of doorslammers on the planet says lots about our determination and perseverance in our eyes. AND we don’t even have a hemi!

ENNIS, TX – Frankie Taylor had waited several long years in the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) for a moment like Friday. With the belt wrapped around his waist after winning his first ADRL World Championship in the
Speedtech “Battle For the Belts” at the LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals VI, the Pro Extreme veteran wasn’t about to wipe the smile off his face. “I can’t even describe what this feels like,” Taylor said. “This is great and it’s just been a great, great year. I can’t believe I get to top it off with this.”
Five other ADRL racers won World Championships on Friday at Texas Motorplex, and all joined Taylor as first-time “Battle For The Belts” champions.
Taylor got his title by beating fellow Houston-area native Joshua Hernandez in the finals, and joining Taylor in the winner’s circle was Burton Auxier (Pro Nitrous), Dan Millen (Extreme 10.5), Kim Morrell (Pro Extreme Motorcycle), John Montecalvo (Extreme Pro Stock) and Tyler Allen (Pro Junior Dragster). Taylor needed to be close to perfect to win the belt considering his matchups. He went 3.65 to beat Texas friend and rival Gaylen Smith, added a little more to chase down Quain Stott with a 3.64 at 208.59 mph in the semifinals and then topped himself in the finals showdown against Hernandez.
Diedrich Make ADRL Debut at LenMar World Finals

Firebaugh, Ca – Jay Diedrich and crew will be bringing their 1957 Chevy from California down to Texas to compete in the quickest and fastest of the American Drag Racing League’s classes, Pro Extreme. Diedrich is an avid racer on the
west coast within many 1/4-mile associations but this will mark the first time he will compete on the 1/8-mile level and possibly, one of his biggest events he’s attended yet.
Alongside Diedrich will be Lonnie Houde with LHP Racing calling the shots on the tune-up. Houde is no stranger within the PX class as he has worked on, tuned and set up complete fuel systems for many racers who compete. Houde has been tuning for Diedrich all season and will admit it is a challenge getting the 2,800 pound car down the race track. The two of them go into Ennis looking for an experience and getting exposure as more ADRL events are planned for the 2011 season.

O’FALLON, MO — The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) has released the matchups in all six classes for the
LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals VI and the prestigious Speedtech “Battle For The Belts.” The innovative, eight-spot elimination tournament to determine a world champion in every ADRL class (Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, Extreme 10.5, Pro Extreme Motorcycle, Extreme Pro Stock and Pro Junior Dragster) takes place on Oct. 22-23 at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX.
ADRL drivers earned points during the 2010 ADRL Tour for their racing performance, record-breaking runs and event participation. Only the top eight drivers in each class advanced and last weekend’s double-race (Dragstock VII and the Ohio Drags IV) at Summit Motorsports Park was the final opportunity to earn a spot into the field. The points leader in each class also receives a first-round bye.

NORWALK, OH – Two of the top competitors in the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) showed exactly why they reign atop their respective classes at Saturday’s Summit Racing
Equipment Ohio Drags IV.
Extreme Pro Stock driver Cary Goforth and Pro Extreme Motorcycle rider Ashley Owens both won for the second time in two nights to stay No. 1 in their divisions, capping off a memorable double-race weekend at Summit Motorsports Park. “To get two wins is just really, really awesome,” said Goforth, who won Dragstock VII on Friday. “Awesome won’t even cover it. This is just wonderful. You always dream about something like this, but you don’t always get it.”
Two other drivers got a chance to celebrate for the first time in the ADRL, as Mick Snyder (Pro Extreme) and Jim Laurita (Pro Nitrous) both picked up their first career ADRL wins on Saturday. Chuck Ulsch picked up his third win of the 2010 season in Extreme 10.5 and Morgan Benfield got the win in Pro Junior Dragster.

NORWALK, OH – Just moments after watching his son, Ty, win in Pro Junior Dragster at the completion of the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) Simpson Dragstock VII on Friday, Todd Tutterow had only
one thought before his Pro Extreme final.
I just knew I needed to do my job,” said Tutterow, the 2009 World Champion.
Tutterow followed suit, beating Joshua Hernandez with a 3.85 in the Pro Extreme final at Summit Motorsports Park to give the Tutterow family two memorable wins in one night.
“This is wonderful,” Tutterow said. “It is very special when you got your family with you for something like this.”
Other winners at Dragstock VII, which was completed on Friday after rain postponed the event two weeks ago in Rockingham, included Doug Riesterer (Pro Nitrous), Spiro Pappas (Extreme 10.5), Ashley Owens (Pro Extreme Motorcycle), Cary Goforth (Extreme Pro Stock) and Ty Tutterow (Pro Junior Dragster).
