ONE OF DRAG RACING’S MOST IMPORTANT VEHICLES IS REBORN in Southern England
You wouldn’t automatically relate southern England with a piece of drag racing history – particularly a vehicle that those in America 
(the home of drag racing) see as the key to globalising the sport. But since the 1980s the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu has been the home of Sydney Allard’s part-restored 1961 Allard Chrysler – Europe’s first dragster that last ran in anger at Blackbushe in 1964.
With the cancellation of the Brighton Speed Trials this year the restoration has particular significance. Madeira Drive is known by Americans as the oldest drag strip in the world and Sydney Allard drove this dragster at the event in 1961, ’62 and ’63.

Capitol Raceway’s fans love doorslammer racing, and NEOPMA is building a relationship with those fans with their ability to put on a great events with fast side by side quarter mile drag racing, and open access to all teams and their pits.

Blown Money Team Looking for “Rare Air” at 44th annual Toyota NHRA Summernationals
Grand Junction, CO – Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey has a reputation for producing some of drag 
racing’s quickest and fastest times. Its location and proximity to sea level (20ft above sea level) and track preparation have plenty to do with those numbers. Racers use corrected altitude readings to tune their engines. They take in account the air temperature, the amount of water in the air and the barometric pressure.
These readings give them a corrected altitude. The lower the reading, the more oxygen content there is in the air. The more oxygen an engine gets; the more fuel it can burn and the more power it can make. This combined with the great traction consistently produce the rare occurrence of record breaking numbers.
Mike Knowles and his crew have been creeping up on their combination for a while now and seem to have a good hold on running in conditions like those that are expected at Englishtown.

Bill White wins big during Victoria Day Weekend Challenge at TMP’s Cayuga Dragway
CAYUGA, ON – Bill White may have been running small-block power, but the Gadshill, Ontario racer came up big during the Victoria 
Day Weekend Challenge at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park, winning the Quick 32 Sportsman Series race with his Top Dragster entry.
We had a great day, said White after his win, his first in Quick 32 Sportsman Series racing, which is presented by NAPA Auto Parts. The car was good all weekend. Once the driver got things figured out, he jokingly added, the driver was good as well.
Pacing the Top Dragsters was Glen Vardy of Burlington, Ontario, who posted a 6.373-second, 214.74 run, while Fred De Jonge ran a 6.670, 222.22 in his Chevy Cobalt door car to lead the Top Sportsman side.
GREEN MONSTER #19 TURBINE DRAGSTER TO DEBUT AT QUAKER CITY NOSTALGIA CLASSIC MAY 26
AKRON, Ohio. – The Green Monster lives! Arfons Racing announces the premiere of its modern recreation of the legendary Green 
Monster #19 front-engined turbine drag race car. The new Green Monster #19 will make its first public appearance Sunday, May 26 at Quaker City Motorsports Park outside of Salem, Ohio as part of Quaker City’s Nostalgia Classic.
Driver and owner, Tim Arfons has been putting the finishing touches on the recreated car and has made several testing passes in the 192 mph range. Tim, son of legendary racer Art Arfons, has spent the last two years faithfully recreating the car that he and his father campaigned in the early 1970s. “We’ve had the dragster at several car shows since we completed the build last fall,” says Arfons.
Waddle to Debut Hurco Backed 2013 Extreme Pro Stock Mustang
Brad Waddle is set to make his debut in his new 2013 Jerry Haas Race Cars Mustang. But it’s what will be on the side of the car that has 
the Extreme Pro Stock (XPS) driver just as excited.
Waddle and his Innovators West race team are pleased to announce a partnership with Hurco, a leading machine tool supplier worldwide. The Hurco logo will be on the side of Waddle’s new black Mustang, where it will debut June 7-8 at the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) U.S. Drags at Virginia Motorsports Park in Richmond, Virginia.
“Hurco is a great group of people and we’re really thrilled about this partnership,” Waddle said. “They’re coming into the racing scene, and having them on our car is only going to increase brand awareness to all these racers and fans.
COURTNEY FORCE LOOKING FORWARD TO SPECTACLE OF INDY 500
BROWNSBURG, IN – NHRA superstar Courtney Force, 2012 NHRA Rookie of the Year and winner of the season opening O’Reilly NHRA 
Winternationals this season will attend the Friday festivities in advance of the 97th annual Indianapolis 500 this weekend.
Force will tour the paddock, meet with some of the drivers, and then proceed to the media center for media availability around noon. Force was a special guest in 2011 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the first Indy 500 and is excited to be back at the storied event and facility.
TNT Super Series heads to Western New York for two races this Memorial Day weekend
NEW YORK – For the second consecutive year, the Memorial Day weekend will see the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series hold a two-
race weekend in Western New York, powered by Steve’s Electric. With RACE 1 being rained out two weeks ago, this double header will be the first time the drivers hit the drag strip for TNTSS competition in 2013.
Friday May 24th will see the series return to Elegant Builders Raceway Park (EBRP) in Lancaster, NY and then Saturday May 25th the series heads to Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY.
