Hagan and Pruett Head to ‘The Mountain’ for the last ever NHRA Mile High Nationals
Morrison, CO – The Dodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colorado, marks the 10th event
on the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series’ 21-race calendar. Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) brings its two fulltime entries – one in Top Fuel for Leah Pruett and one in Funny Car for 46-time Funny Car winner and three-time champion Matt Hagan. Pruett delivered TSR’s first Top Fuel victory of the season and fourth overall team win in the prior event at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park, driving her Dodge Direct Connection Top Fuel Dragster to her 11th career victory in the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.
Bandimere Speedway kicks off the Western Swing – three consecutive races where after the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals, the series heads to Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington, July 21-23 for the Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals and then to Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway July 28-30 for the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals.
Coming into Denver, Pruett is currently third in the Top Fuel standings, 106 points behind leader Justin Ashley. Hagan is leading the Funny Car standings, four points ahead of Ron Capps.
Pruett Takes First 2023 NHRA National Event Win at Norwalk, Drives Dodge Direct Connection Top Fuel Dragster to Victory
NORWALK, OH – The hot and humid conditions always prove to be tricky at an NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series national event,
but Leah Pruett and her Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) Dodge Direct Connection team were the masters of that environment Sunday by capturing the Top Fuel division win in the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
Pruett drove her TSR Direct Connection dragster past current NHRA Top Fuel point leader Justin Ashley in the final round with a 3.761-second pass at 326.79 miles per hour to score her first 2023 NHRA win and jump into the top-three in the Top Fuel current standings entering the next event on July 14-16 at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals in Morrison, Colorado. Pruett is the defending champion at her primary sponsor’s upcoming event.
The Arizona driver opened the Ohio racing weekend by qualifying her Top Fueler in the No. 1 position for the second straight event and advanced past Kyle Wurtzel in the first round. She then defeated Mike Salinas in round two and young Austin Prock in the semifinals. Ashley had lane choice in the final against Pruett, but he smoked the tires at half-track as Pruett drove to the win light.

Coming into Norwalk, Pruett is tied with Antron Brown for fifth in the Top Fuel standings, 134 points behind leader Justin Ashley. Hagan is currently second in the Funny Car standings, 32 points behind leader Ron Capps.

Coming into Bristol, Pruett is fourth in the Top Fuel standings, 28 points behind leader Steve Torrence. Hagan leads the Funny Car standings with a 14-point advantage over Ron Capps.

Indianapolis, IN – Stewart earned his second win in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. Stewart has now advanced to the finals in the
last three NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events. Stewart’s Q1 run of 5.183 seconds is a career-best in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. His Q2 run at 282.07 mph is the fastest he has gone in a Top Alcohol Dragster.

Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) brings its two fulltime entries – one in Top Fuel for 10-time Top Fuel winner Leah Pruett and one in Funny Car for three-time Funny Car champion Matt Hagan. Hagan delivered TSR’s third victory of the season in the prior event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, driving his Haas Automation Dodge SRT Hellcat Funny Car to his 46th career victory in the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals.
Coming into Charlotte, Pruett is sixth in the Top Fuel standings, 71 points behind leader Steve Torrence. Hagan leads the Funny Car standings with a 105-point advantage over Ron Capps.
With his win at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, Hagan is 19th in all-time NHRA tour victories and fourth among Funny Car drivers behind only John Force (155), Ron Capps (67) and Robert Hight (54).

Drag Racing Series, with the Tennessee-based company highlighting its world-class car collection on the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Funny Car of three-time champion Matt Hagan.
JHG will serve as the co-primary sponsor of Hagan during the Circle K NHRA Four-Wide Nationals April 28-30 at zMAX Dragway. The red, white and blue car design will feature JHG on the hood of Hagan’s 11,000-horsepower machine. JHG will also be Hagan’s co-primary sponsor at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals June 9-11 at Bristol Dragway and primary sponsor at the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals July 28-30 at Sonoma Raceway. Las Vegas – Tony Stewart earned his first win in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in his fifth start. It marks the 43rd consecutive
season he has earned a motorsports victory. Stewart has now won an event on all tracks at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway property:
He won his first USAC Silver Crown event at the Las Vegas dirt track on October 18, 1997. Captured his 1997 IndyCar championship at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Won in a USAC midget in 2002 at the Las Vegas Bullring pavement short-track also won in a sprint car in the same night. Won the 2010 Las Vegas Sprint Car Nationals at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Earned the 2012 NASCAR Cup Series event win at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway oval track.
Stewart also earned a victory as team owner with Funny Car driver Matt Hagan for Tony Stewart Racing in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series.
