Trio Earn Berths to IHRA World Finals
With Summit SuperSeries race complete only Team Finals remain
MILLINGTON, TN – Steven Ferrow of Chattanooga, Tenn., Travis Snoden of Mt. Sterling, Ky. and Christopher 
Marcum of Springfield, Mo., all punched their tickets to next week’s IHRA World Finals featuring Nitro Jam on Saturday by winning their classes in the Summit SuperSeries race as part of the IHRA Team Finals at Memphis International Raceway (MIR).
Ferrow won Box, Snoden won No Box and Marcum won Junior Dragster. Each driver is now eligible to participate in the IHRA World Finals on Oct. 9-10, luckily for them they won’t have far to travel because the World Finals will be contested at MIR.
‘Bad Brad’ Lays Claim to King Honors
Evans beats Elam for the top spot in MIR Top 10
MILLINGTON, TN – Memphis International Raceway (MIR) crowned its King of the Track during Midnight 
Madness after “Bad” Brad Evans beat David Elam in the heads-up final.
For his accomplishment, Evans took home a $500 cash prize, a plaque, the MIR King of the Track belt and a big target on his back for 2016. “Friday night was just the beginning of a program that will be going in exciting directions in 2016,” said MIR VP and GM Pam Kendrick.
Both Brad Evans and David Elam wanted to get their hands of the Memphis International Raceway King of the Track belt, but it was Evans who was the winner.
Battle for MIR’s Top 10 Heating Up
Thursday’s Test N Tune is that last day to earn way into Friday competition
MILLINGTON, TN – Thursday night’s Test N Tune is the last opportunity to earn a spot in the Memphis 
International Raceway (MIR) Top 10 before Friday night’s Midnight Madness, where MIR’s ‘King of the Track’ will be crowned during Friday night’s Midnight Madness event.
“There’s going to be $500 and some other great prizes on the line Friday night,” said MIR VP and GM Pam Kendrick. “This is just the start of what we believe will be an exciting Top 10 program in the years to come. In order to be the King of the Track this year, racers not already qualified have to join in and earn a spot on Thursday night.”
Racers who compete in the challenge and rank in the top-10 will receive a one-time free entry in the R.T. Turbines DOT/Street class during the Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams.
Team Finals Rosters Complete
The racers on the MIR team look to reclaim title
MILLINGTON, TN – The roster has been finalized and Memphis International Raceway (MIR) has its drivers for the 
Oct. 1-4 IHRA Team Bracket Finals that will be held at the track.
“We have a strong team again this year,” said MIR VP and GM Pam Kendrick. “I’m confident we’re going to bring the title back to our track, where it belongs.”
MIR Team 1 consists of the top 13 drivers in both Rick’s Powder Coating Super Pro and B&B Towing Footbrake as well as four drivers from RT Turbines Junior Dragsters that accepted.
The team is led by Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams points leaders Shane Stout (Top), John Castellaw III (Mod) and Justin Poindexter (Jr. Dragster).
Big Bucks Race Offers Variety
Great American Bracket Race rolls into MIR this weekend
MILLINGTON, TN – The Seventh Annual Moser Engineering Great American Bracket Race (GABR) scheduled for 
Sept. 11-13 at Memphis International Raceway (MIR) isn’t an event geared solely toward touring racers who chase big bucks across the country.
The GABR will also have classes for Footbrake, Junior Dragster and Stock/SS Combo when racing gets under way on Friday.
“This event is a great way for our local racers to be a part of a high stakes race,” said MIR Director of Operations Paul Cartwright. “The competition is going to be tough in all the classes and we’re looking forward to a strong car count all the way around.”
Graham Nearly Doubles Up A win and a runner up still isn’t a bad way to end the weekend
MILLINGTON, TN – Cody Graham had a busy night at Saturday’s Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP 
Cams event at Memphis International Raceway, but it was equally rewarding.
Graham brought home trophies in two classes after winning Rick’s Powder Coating Super Pro and finishing runner up in B&B Towing Footbrake.
Cody Graham won the Rick’s Powder Coating Super Pro class and was runner-up in B&B Towing Footbrake this past weekend.
In the Rick’s Powder Coating Super Pro final, Graham beat Jeff Bobo thanks in large part to a strong .008 reaction time in the final. Graham finished in 4.815 seconds at 140.80 mph on a 4.80 dial in to Bobo’s 4.800 at 138.27 mph on a 4.79 dial.
Deadline to Get In Top 10 Looms

MILLINGTON, TN – There are just a few more chances for racers to lay their claim on the King of the Track title at Memphis International Raceway during the Sept. 25 edition of Midnight Madness by getting on the Memphis Top 10 during Test N Tune and Street Warz.
Racers who compete in the challenge and rank in the top-10 will receive a one-time free entry in the R.T. Turbines DOT Street class during the Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams.
Time is running out for Memphis’ best racers to claim their spot in the MIR Top Ten. This weekend offers two chances with Test N Tune on Thursday and Street Warz on Friday.
Stock/SS Class Ready to Round Out Year
Six remaining races pairing up with major bracket events
MILLINGTON, TN – As the racing season starts to head into its stretch run, the 2nd Hand Power Stock/Super Stock 
class still has a few combo races on its schedule at Memphis International Raceway between now and the end of the season.
“We look forward to this kind of close racing the 2nd Hand The 2nd Hand Power Stock/Super Stock class has six races left on the 2015 schedule. Power Stock/Super Stock guys bring to the track,” said MIR Director of Drag Strip Operations Paul Cartwright. “Their racing is going to enhance the events they are part of.”
Each 2nd Hand Power Stock/Super Stock event will have races on back-to-back days with the first combo race on the Saturday and Sunday of the Great American Bracket Race scheduled for Sept. 12-13.

MILLINGTON, TN – The Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams event on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Memphis International Raceway (MIR), is the last chance for drivers to earn their way on to MIR Team 1 at next month’s IHRA Team Finals.
The top 13 drivers in Rick’s Powder Coating Super Pro and B&B Towing Footbrake along with the top four drivers in RT Turbines Junior Dragster will earn berths onto Team 1 should they choose to accept the berth.
“The Team Finals is an event our racers look forward to all year,” said MIR Director of Drag Strip Operations Paul Cartwright. “There’s some chance that those final spots could change hands, which makes Saturday’s race even more intense.”

Competitive portion of Throttle Fest Memphis will bring the horses
MILLINGTON, TN – At this weekend’s Throttle Fest Memphis powered by Fun Ford Series with FocusFest at 
Memphis International Raceway, fans of Ford Racing have much to be excited about on August 28-29.
Mustangs will have their own trophy class at this weekend’s Throttle Fest Memphis powered by Fun Ford Series with FocusFest. Saturday’s racing portion of the program has five different classes to choose from and driver’s may enter multiple classes.
“This is a golden opportunity for our Ford racers to come out and have a little fun,” said MIR VP and GM Pam Kendrick. “There’s a class for every level of racer out there. It’s going to be a great way for a Ford enthusiast to spend the afternoon.”
