U.S. Nationals weekend is an overall productive time for Arana
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Improving with every pass he made throughout the weekend, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana 
continued his success of solid passes right into the first round of eliminations at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway.
Making its best pass down the track of the entire event, the ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell put down a 6.943-second pass at 193.77 mph in the first round of final eliminations Monday. Unfortunately, Arana’s reaction time of .088 had him chasing Matt Smith down the lanes the entire pass, coming up just short of advancing to the next round.
“I’m disappointed that we went out in the first round but who wouldn’t be,” Arana said. “The bike drifted towards the right, which didn’t help my speed at all. Because of that we’re going to make changes to the wheelie bar to make sure that it tracks straight.”
Last-minute change has Arana primed for Indy eliminations
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Making a major gain in the last round of qualifying, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana is excited about 
his chances of winning rounds on Monday at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis.
With his fastest pass of the weekend coming in Q5, the ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell improved immensely with a 6.951 at 193.35 mph to secure the No. 14 qualifying spot.
“We made some changes on the tune-up after the first session today and it definitely picked up some time,” Arana said. “It picked up over 1 mph on the back half, which is really good. Plus, I picked up on my 60-foot numbers, so we’re definitely going in the right direction. I went from being about a tenth behind the field after the fourth session to less than five-hundredths.
Recent time off could be the difference for Arana at the U.S. Nationals
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – After a season filled with ups and downs, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana is ready to finish the last 
seven races on a high note starting with the 60th annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals, Aug. 27- Sept. 1, at Lucas Oil Raceway.
Trying to get the setup on his ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell figured out, the youngest Arana took advantage of the recent month off to prepare to race in Indy.
“Since Sonoma, Calif., we’ve really just been trying to go over the motor and figure it out,” Arana said. “Having the month off definitely gave us some extra time to really try to fix the issue we’ve been fighting. It would have been nice if we could have gone and tested somewhere, but with the focus on getting the motor right, there just wasn’t time. I think we’re ready though.
“We’ve had some good runs at Indy as a team. I just hope to have a little more success there than I did last year and at previous races this season. One goal I have for the weekend is to qualify in the top half of the ladder. I haven’t been able to all year but I think it’s definitely doable.”
Looking for a hometown win, Arana Jr. is ready to roll at the U.S. Nationals
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – It has been almost a month since the last time Pro Stock Motorcycles were on the track, but rider Hector 
Arana Jr. is more than ready for the 60th annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals, Aug. 27- Sept. 1, at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.
After a disappointing finish in Sonoma, Calif., Arana has spent the last month preparing the Lucas Oil Buell and himself for the next time he would get on the track. He has primed himself mentally to look at this weekend like any other race, a chance to go rounds and possibly grab a win.
“We’ve been going through all the bikes and motors trying to get everything in tip-top shape for Indy,” Arana said. “We’re always trying to be in the best shape for every race. We want to feel like we’re at 100 percent before we even get to the track.
“Other than that I’m trying to prepare by staying focused and keeping a clear mind. I’ve been going over everything mentally. The last race I was trying to ride the bike too much, I was trying too hard. I need to go back to doing my normal thing, just riding the bike and staying relaxed. I need to go at this one run at a time.”
Arana pumped about the future after solid showing in Sonoma
SONOMA, CA – ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV rider Adam Arana had just lost a close race in the second round of the NHRA 
Sonoma Nationals on Sunday at Sonoma Raceway, but he still wore a wide smile.
Why? Because his Arana Racing team solved a yearlong problem that had plagued Arana, giving him new optimism for the rest of the season.
“I’m excited for the rest of the year, considering we fixed our main issue,” Arana said. “Fixing that issue will definitely help us out on Sundays.”
Arana had mysteriously gone through six crankshafts in his engines this season, but the team discovered why this weekend.
Looking for a little luck, Arana continues to make improvements in Sonoma
SONOMA, CA – Looking for redemption after an early exit in Denver last weekend, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana continued 
to work out the initial kinks of using a new motor during both days of qualifying for the NHRA Sonoma Nationals at Sonoma Raceway.
Qualifying started off slow for the youngest Arana, but in his last attempt in Q4 the ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell rider pulled out his fastest pass of the weekend, a 6.921 at 194.07 mph, to move up the Pro Stock Motorcycle ladder.
“The new motor is running better than what we had in Denver but still not quite up to par for my standards,” Arana said. “It’s all about finding that right balance between the bike setup and the rider’s style of riding. We just haven’t found that right pairing yet, but we will make a tune-up for tomorrow’s eliminations and I know we will run better.”

SONOMA, CA – The best part about a difficult weekend for ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV rider Adam Arana is that the 
opportunity for redemption is only a few days away.
Arana is ready to reboot for the NHRA Sonoma Nationals this weekend at Sonoma Raceway.
“New day, new everything,” Arana said. “I’ve already forgotten about Denver and am looking forward to Sonoma.”
Arana’s sophomore season has been trying, but he bounced back from failing to qualify in Chicago by racing to the semifinals in Norwalk, Ohio, picking up a holeshot victory along the way.
Arana hopes he can have a similar experience in Sonoma after struggling in Denver.
“I did well in Norwalk,” Arana said. “I’ve done well all year except for the first round in Denver and one time in E2 against Eddie (Krawiec). Those are the only times I haven’t had a good light. I think my worst light besides those was a .048.
Arana on wrong end of strange moment in Denver
DENVER, CO – ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV rider Adam Arana was on the unfortunate end of one of the weirdest moments in 
the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series this season in the opening round of the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals on Sunday at Bandimere Speedway.
Arana turned the red-light on against Steve Johnson, immediately handing Johnson the round-win. What’s worse for Arana is that Johnson broke on the starting line and didn’t move.
The ebullient Johnson climbed off the bike and began to celebrate by clicking his heels, a moment captured by ESPN2. But for Arana, there was only disappointment.
Arana ready to climb the Pro Stock Motorcycle mountain in Denver
DENVER, CO – If improvement in qualifying is any indication, ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell rider Adam Arana will be among the riders to beat at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals on Sunday at Bandimere Speedway.
Arana got quicker in every qualifying session, and his pass in Q4 was in the top eight.
“Improving feels great,” said Arana, who qualified No. 11. “We are definitely taking a step in the right direction. I’m only a little over two-hundredths slower than my dad and he has a fast bike, so we are moving in the right direction. It’s just taking a little time.”
Determination is on Arana’s mind for Denver
DENVER, CO – Following a successful race weekend in Norwalk, sophomore Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana is ready to continue his success when he returns to Denver for the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals, July 18-20, at Bandimere Speedway.
After racing to his first career No. 1 qualifying position and a second-round appearance in final eliminations at last year’s Denver event, the ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell rider seems to be dialed in for a repeat.
“I just want to go back to Denver and qualify well,” Arana said. “Hopefully, I’ll get No. 1 again like I did last year. Either way, a good qualifying spot really makes a difference on how Sunday plays out. The higher up the ladder you are, the better chance you have at going rounds.
“Last year I was in a good position to go far, but I got too excited at the line in round two and red lit. This year I’ve really tried to overcome that and I’ll be ready this time.”
