Anthony Vanetti comes close but misses qualifying in Sonoma

SONOMA, CA – MAVTV/Protect The Harvest/Lucas Oil rider Anthony Vanetti is learning the hard way how difficult Anthony Vanetti - Sonomathe Pro Stock Motorcycle class can be.

Vanetti failed to qualify for the NHRA Sonoma Nationals on Saturday at Sonoma Raceway, getting bumped out of the top 16 in the final qualifying session. He’ll have to wait until the race in Charlotte to make his official race debut.

“I’m definitely learning more with each lap,” Vanetti said. “I’m getting more comfortable with the bike, although it didn’t show in Q4. We’ve just got to move on to the next one, stay positive, and learn from it. I’ve got to forget about what happened because I don’t want to dwell on that, for sure.”

DENVER – MAVTV/Protect The Harvest/Lucas Oil Buell racer Anthony Vanetti improved with each pass he made Anthony Vanetti - Denverduring qualifying for the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals this weekend at Bandimere Speedway, but it wasn’t quite enough to qualify for his first national event.

Sentimental weekend ahead for Arana in Pomona

POMONA, CA – With only this weekend’s Auto Club NHRA Finals left on the 2014 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule, the race also Adam Arana - Eppingmarks a much more meaningful event for Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana.

Already enlisted for entry into the United States Coast Guard in 2015, Arana’s trip to Pomona this weekend will be his last on the ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell in his professional career. Yet, Arana isn’t sure that the emotions of the weekend will really catch up to him until he leaves for service.

“It’s tough to say what my emotions will be like because I’m used to Pomona being the last race,” Arana said. “I’m used to having four months off, so I don’t think it will hit me that I’m no longer racing until I leave for boot camp.”

Anxious for continued success, Arana is ready for Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – Coming off one of his best performances all season at Maple Grove Raceway, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana is more than Adam Aranaexcited about making the long trip from Indiana to Las Vegas for the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

Placing his ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell within the top half of the ladder for the first time all season at the previous race in Reading, Pa., Arana feels like the bike is finally where he wants it to be performance-wise. Not wanting to mess with a setup that is almost to his liking, he made very minimal changes the past couple of weeks.

“We didn’t really do much to the bikes since Reading,” Arana said. “We’re kind of at that point in the season where we’re trying to prepare for next year more than anything.
