NHRA fans can put Morgan in K&N Challenge through SetLarryOnFire.com

FAYETTEVILLE, GA – NHRA Pro Stock driver Larry Morgan has a new partnership for 2015 with FireAde, so to help Vote for Morganhis efforts to get into the K&N Horsepower Challenge, a new website has been created, www.setlarryonfire.com.

Morgan’s fans can vote him into the special race via the new site, as well as learn about Morgan, the race, and FireAde. Plus, fans can find links to the Ronnie Thames Foundation, an organization started by FireAde founder Ron Thames and his wife Teresa. The Ronnie Thames Foundation seeks to provide hope and healing to families who have been affected by fire-related injuries by raising necessary funds to support pediatric burn centers across the U.S.

In conjunction with the website, fans can get special #VoteLarry decals at the upcoming NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series races in Gainesville, Fla., and Charlotte, N.C.

FireAde racer Morgan comes up inches short in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Trying to keep his consistency throughout the weekend alive, a spark of hope in the first round was Larry Morgan - Phoenixextinguished prematurely for FireAde Chevrolet Pro Stock driver Larry Morgan at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.

“I could tell right away,” Morgan said. “When it started to tremble in low gear, I knew I was in trouble. We didn’t have enough clutch to move the car. When it does that, you can’t seem to do anything right and the clutch gets hot. It is what it is though, and we’ll look forward to the next race in Gainesville (Fla.).”

Facing off against No. 9 Greg Anderson in the first round of eliminations, Morgan put down a solid 6.599-second pass at 211.20 mph, compared to Anderson’s 6.606 at 210.64 mph. Unfortunately, Anderson’s .033 reaction time beat Morgan’s .042, giving Anderson the holeshot win and ending Morgan’s day early by .002-second.

Blistering-fast Morgan ready to light up Phoenix eliminations

PHOENIX, AZ – Riding a hot streak throughout the weekend so far at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, FireAde Larry Morgan - PhoenixChevrolet Pro Stock driver Larry Morgan has demonstrated that he will be a force to be reckoned with during eliminations at the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals.

Friday’s second qualifying session proved quickest for Morgan’s FireAde Chevrolet Camaro with a pass of 5.569 seconds that was good enough for the No. 8 spot. Matched up against No. 9 Greg Anderson, Morgan is raring to turn on the win light during the first round of eliminations.

“We went from sixth to eighth and now to the second-quickest car of the last session,” Morgan said. “That’s improvement that I like to see. We’re really looking forward to going into the first round tomorrow because of it.

Morgan heads to Phoenix ready to turn up the heat and win

PHOENIX, AZ – After a strong quarterfinal finish at the season-opening race in Pomona, Calif., FireAde Chevrolet Larry Morgan - PomonaPro Stock driver Larry Morgan is anxious to take things to the next level this weekend at the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.

“I think we got off to a decent start,” Morgan said. “I was excited that we were able to make some good runs in Pomona. We’ve only made a handful of runs on our new car, so every race offers us more opportunities to shine.”

With only one race under his belt since changing to the Chevrolet brand and partnering with Gray Motorsports, Morgan is proud of the results his team has seen so far. However, after years of racing experience, the veteran driver knows lasting success won’t happen overnight.

Morgan’s FireAde Chevy speeds to Pomona’s second round

POMONA, CA – FireAde Chevrolet Pro Stock driver Larry Morgan’s performance in the Circle K NHRA Larry Morgan - Pomona 2Winternationals this weekend at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona has his confidence soaring for the 2015 season.

Morgan posted his best qualifying effort since November 2011 and scored his first round-win since this race one year ago. His new partnership with FireAde and Gray Motorsports paid dividends this weekend, but he’s ready for bigger things during the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

“I’m good,” Morgan said. “Running good gives us all confidence, and we know we can do better, too. If I can get the struts working better, we’ll be quicker, too. I’m just excited and couldn’t be more happy.”

Morgan all smiles after qualifying FireAde Chevy in No. 6 spot

POMONA, CA – FireAde Chevrolet driver Larry Morgan is all smiles at the Circle K NHRA Winternationals this Morgan - Pomonaweekend at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, and not only because he qualified No. 6 for the season opener.

Morgan debuted a new sponsor (FireAde), a new car (Chevrolet), and a new engine (Gray Motorsports) this weekend, and things have gone well for the veteran Pro Stock racer.

“We have had the best weekend,” said Morgan, who outqualified Gray Motorsports drivers Shane Gray and Jonathan Gray. “We jokingly are calling ourselves the A team,” Morgan said. “We started as the C team and ended up as the A team.”

Morgan ready to debut FireAde Chevrolet

POMONA, CA – FireAde Chevrolet driver Larry Morgan begins his 29th season in the NHRA Pro Stock class at this Larry Morgan - Fireadeweekend’s Circle K NHRA Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, but he’s as excited as ever.

Morgan is switching to Chevrolet for 2015 with a new car from Jerry Haas, and he’ll be getting engines from Gray Motorsports, which powers some of the fastest cars in the class, but what Morgan is most excited about is a partnership with Fire Services Plus and its FireAde brand of products.

“I can’t even say how excited I am because we hooked up with a company that saves lives and is really good for the environment,” Morgan said. “There are so many good things I can say about this product.
