FORCE, HENDRICKCARS.COM TEAM SET TO CAPITALIZE ON ST. LOUIS OPPPORTUNITY

BROWNSBURG, IN – The NHRA Mission Foods Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway, Sept. 26-28, is the halfway point of the six-race 2025 Countdown to the Championship and Brittany Force and her HendrickCars.com team looks to capitalize on the opportunity to make a strong push for this year’s Top Fuel championship.

The two-time NHRA Top Fuel Champion (2017, 2022) picked up a position in the point standings after last week’s race at zMax Dragway, moving from seventh to sixth in the point standings. She’s currently 13 behind Clay Millican in fifth, 40 behind Tony Stewart in fourth, 49 to Shawn Langdon in third, 70 to Justin Ashley in second and 108 to Doug Kalitta in first.

Trailing Force is Shawn Reed (-23 points), Steve Torrence (-28 points), Antron Brown (-51 points) and Josh Hart (-98 points).

Force and her Dave Grubnic/John Collins-led team have made 10 runs at 340 mph or faster during the 2025 season. Included on this list are record-setting passes: 341.59 mph at the 4-Wide Nationals (April); 341.85 mph at the Northwest Nationals (July); 343.16 mph at the Sonoma Nationals (July); and her current record of 343.51 mph at the U.S. Nationals (September). PROCK ROCKET JUGGERNAUT HEADS TO WORLD WIDE TECHNOLOGY RACEWAY

BROWNSBURG, IN – The juggernaut that is Austin Prock and the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car team roll into the Sept. 26-28 NHRA Mission Foods Midwest Nationals with a To Do list of simply continuing to do what they’ve been doing all season.

The win column at World Wide Technology Raceway shows a goose egg for Prock but the John Force Racing driver enters this week’s race, the third of six races in the Countdown to the Championship, coming off victory last weekend at zMax Dragway near Charlotte. On three previous occasions this season, the Prock Rocket has earned back-to-back wins: first, at Las Vegas and Charlotte\; then at Virginia and Ohio; and most recently at Sonoma and Brainerd, which ended up being three-in-a-row with the team’s win at the U.S. Nationals.

The reigning NHRA Funny Car Champion leads the 2025 standings with 2,298 points. Chasing him are Matt Hagan (2,219), Ron Capps (2,204), Jack Beckman (2,200), Paul Lee (2,171), Cruz Pedregon (2,146), Daniel Wilkerson (2,142), Spencer Hyde (2,132), JR Todd (2,116), and Alexis Dejoria (2,107). BECKMAN LOOKS BACK AT “AS BIG A WIN AS I’VE EVER HAD”

BROWNSBURG, IN – World Wide Technology Raceway already held a special place in Jack Beckman’s career but his victory in last year’s NHRA Mission Foods Midwest Nationals was of a significance that even he could have imagined.

It was there, on Sept. 29, 2024, that Beckman, driving in his eighth race for the injured John Force after almost four years out of the sport, defeated Ron Capps in the final round to return John Force Racing’s PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet Funny Car to the winner’s circle.

The 2012 NHRA Funny Car Champion returns to World Wide Technology Raceway fourth in the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Funny Car standings. He is just four points behind Capps in third, 19 to Matt Hagan in second, and 98 to John Force Racing teammate Austin Prock.

PROCK SWEEPS 2025 4-WIDES, TAKES THIRD STRAIGHT AT zMAX DRAGWAY WITH CAROLINA NATIONALS WIN

Force and Beckman bow out after second round of three-round format

CONCORD, NC – Austin Prock overcame illness and a full field of competitors gunning for the points leader en route to his eighth victory of the season, a sweep of the season’s three four-wide races and his third consecutive win at zMax Dragway in Sunday’s NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals.

John Force Racing teammates Brittany Force (HendrickCars.com Top Fuel dragster) and Jack Beckman (PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS Funny Car) bowed out in Round 2 of the three-round four-wide format.

The reigning NHRA Mission Foods Funny Car Champion ran 3.912 seconds at 332.43 mph to defeat Matt Hagan’s run of 3.952 seconds at 324.12 mph, as well as the slowing car of Daniel Wilkerson and the red-lighting Chad Green. The Carolina Nationals victory was Prock’s 16th in just his second year of Funny Car competition and 20th overall (four in Top Fuel).

“That was a big win for this Cornwell Tools team, especially after everything that went on in the semifinals,” said Prock. “A few of the front runners went out and we capitalized on it. So, to get the win and the points was awesome, and it extended our lead a little bit going into St. Louis next weekend. Continue reading

FORCE EARNS 57th No. 1 QUALIFIER SPOT, PROCK 3rd, BECKMAN 9th GOING INTO SUNDAY’S ELIMINATIONS

JFR teams battle through late summer heat of Saturday qualifying sessions

CONCORD, NC– Brittany Force earned her 57th career Top Fuel No. 1 Qualifier position while her John Force Racing Funny Car teammates Austin Prock and Jack Beckman placed third and ninth, respectively, heading into Sunday’s eliminations rounds for the NHRA Mission Foods NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals at zMax Dragway.

Force’s HendrickCars.com Top Fuel dragster ran consistent in all four qualifying passes of the weekend, with her Friday night run of 3.698 seconds at 338.85 setting the standard. On Saturday, with temperatures in the upper 80s, she ran 3.823 seconds at 327.66 mph in the first session and 3.785 seconds at 333.91 mph in the final pass. It is her fifth No. 1 Qualifier position of 2025, after earning the top spot at Pomona, Virginia, Sonoma, and Indianapolis. She has first lane choice when she faces Shawn Reed and Tony Stewart in Sunday’s first round of eliminations.

Prock’s Friday night session run of 3.900 seconds at 327.74 mph put him in second place on the ladder but, despite consistent runs in Saturday’s heat, he ended up in the third qualifying position. Prock’s Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS ran 3.933 seconds at 329.67 mph in the first session and 3.928 seconds at 328.94 mph in the final session. He’ll have first lane choice in his opening-round matchup against Bob Tasca III, Hunter Green and Alex Laughlin. Continue reading

FORCE GRABS LOW E.T. IN FRIDAY NIGHT QUALIFYING FOR THE NHRA 4-WIDE CAROLINA NATIONALS

Prock second, Beckman 13th after first two rounds of qualifying

CONCORD, NC – Brittany Force drove her HendrickCars.com Top Fuel dragster to low elapsed time of the day with a run of 3.698 seconds at 338.85 mph in Friday night qualifying for the NHRA Mission Foods NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals at zMax Dragway in Concord, N.C.

Her John Force Racing teammates, Austin Prock and Jack Beckman, qualified second and 13th, respectively, in Funny Car. Prock’s Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS ran 3.900 seconds at 327.74 mph in the night session while Beckman’s best run in the PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS, 4.109 seconds at 260.97 mph, was made in the afternoon session.

The final two rounds of qualifying are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, at 12:30 and 3:00 p.m. ET. Final eliminations are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. E.T. on Sunday, Sept. 21.

PROCK LOOKING FOR THREE STRAIGHT AT 4-WIDE

BROWNSBURG, IN – Austin Prock and the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car team head to zMax Dragway for this weekend’s NHRA Mission Foods NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals knowing they’re the defending event champions as well as having the opportunity to create history as well.

The 2025 Funny Car points leader heads to into the second race of the Countdown for the Championship knowing that, with wins earlier this year in the Spring races at the Las Vegas and Charlotte, he has the opportunity to become the first driver in win three consecutive 4-Wide races as well as a third straight at zMax Dragway.

Prock leads John Force Racing teammate Jack Beckman by 25 points, Ron Capps by 29, Paul Lee by 35 and Matt Hagan by 55 points.

Austin Prock and Shawn Langdon are the only two drivers to win four-wide events in both Top Fuel and Funny Car.  In only 10 total four-wide appearances, Austin Prock has three wins, tying him for fourth most overall. Continue reading

BECKMAN HOPES TO CAPITALIZE ON CHARLOTTE WINNING WAYS

BROWNSBURG, IN – Jack Beckman’s three victories at zMax Dragway, including the Fall race in 2008, provides the veteran driver with the confidence needed to pull into winner’s circle again at the conclusion of the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals, April 19-21.

Beckman follows only teammate Austin Prock in the 2025 NHRA Funny Car point standings after the first of the six Countdown to the Championship events in the rearview mirror. While 25 behind Prock, he’s four ahead of Ron Capps, 10 ahead of Paul Lee and 30 ahead of Matt Hagan in fifth.

The 2012 NHRA Funny Car Champion tested a new car at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park the day after the U.S. Nationals. The original plan was to shake the car down and use it as a backup, but the PEAK SQUAD thought enough of the car’s initial performance that they made it the primary.

Beckman’s other two zMax Dragway victories came in the spring races in 2011 and 2015. In 22 NHRA races contested in the four-wide format, JFR drivers have won 11 times, three times in Top Fuel and eight times in Funny Car.  Of those wins, nine have come at ZMax Dragway. Continue reading

FORCE TEAM LOOK TO MAKE UP GROUND AT zMAX DRAGWAY

BROWNSBURG, IN – Brittany Force and her HendrickCars.com Top Fuel team will be focused on making up some lost ground each time they pull up to the starting line in the Sept. 19-21 NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals at zMax Dragway in Concord, N.C., Round 2 of the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship.

The two-time NHRA Top Fuel Champion (2017, 2022) exited after the second round in last weekend’s first round of the Countdown at Maple Grove Raceway. But Force comes to zMax Dragway seventh in the point standings, just five points behind Clay Millican and Shawn Reed who are tied for fifth. Fourth-place Justin Ashely is 22 points up and third-place Shawn Langdon is 39 points up. Point leader Doug Kalitta is 72 points ahead and second-place Tony Stewart is 54 points up.

The 4-Wide Carolina Nationals will be the third time Force’s Top Fuel Dragster will carry the HendrickCars.com paint scheme in 2025. On April 27 at zMax Dragway, Force, who qualified third, finished third in the second round against Shawn Langdon (winner), Justin Ashley (runner-up) and Josh Hart (fourth). Continue reading

JOHN FORCE RACING TEAMS EXIT EARLY AT MAPLE GROVE

Force, Prock and Beckman each eliminated in the second round

MOHNTON, PA – All three John Force Racing teams had their day end early in the NHRA Mission Foods NHRA Nationals presented by Nitro Fish when each lost their second-round matchups at Maple Grove Raceway.

It was the first time since June 8, 2025, at Bristol Motor Speedway that John Force Racing didn’t advance at least one car into the semifinals.

Brittany Force qualified eighth in Top Fuel while Austin Prock and Jack Beckman qualified second and fourth, respectively, in Funny Car. Each had lane choice in the first round of eliminations, and each earned relatively easy victories.

Force ran 3.798 seconds at 337.41 mph against Dan Mercier’s 6.453 at 94.86 but lost lane choice for Round 2 to Clay Millican 3.764-second run. She got the holeshot by 12-thousandths-of-a-second (0.076 to 0.088) but the Monster Energy dragster smoked the tires just a couple hundred feet off the starting line while Millican ran 3.866 seconds at 313.88 mph.
