Orlando, FL – Summer isn’t the only thing bringing the heat in 2010. The Team from Titan Motorsports was at it again in Martin Michigan for the ADRL Summer Drags VI. Coming off of a strong win in Virginia and recently joining the Mickey Thompson 3 Second Club, Titan and the Scion came through with another dominating performance.
After a few rain delays in Martin on Friday, the track was finally cleared to begin the qualifying runs. In the first qualifying session, Gary White and the boys were just warming up, yet set the precedent for the afternoon by laying down a strong first run of 4.010 at 187.77mph, good enough for the number one qualifying position. In round two Gary nailed a career best trap speed with his 3.958 at 187.98mph! The third and fourth sessions were canceled due to more rain. Titan remained the number one qualifier.

MARTIN, MI — The added pressure, expectations and attention that comes with landing a new major sponsor seems to have brought out the best in Josh Hernandez.
A race after advancing to the final in Richmond while debuting his new Fight Me MMA sponsorship, Hernandez and his ’57 Chevy took it a step further on Saturday, winning in Pro Extreme at the ADRL Ford Drive One Summer Drags VI at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, MI.
“To come out with a new sponsor and within two races have a win, that’s what we’re in it for,” Hernandez said. “To be in that winner’s circle, nothing makes me happier.
“I’m so happy for my guys. This is what we’ve been waiting for.”
It’s the seventh career win for Hernandez, but just the first this year in a loaded division.

Congrats on a job well done and well deserved to all at Titan Motorsports! There is only 1 spot left in this exclusive club, who will be next?
Pappas Qualifies #1 at ADRL Season Opener in Houston with a 3.88!
Houston, TX – Straight off their 2009 ADRL Xtreme 10.5 world championship, Spiro Pappas racing is not resting on its laurels as it took the number 1 spot in the rain postponed season opener at Houston Raceway Park (HRP).
The team unloaded the car and picked up right where they left off after testing at HRP’s Spring Warm-Up in early March. Their 3.931 @ 194.88 mph run during the test session was backed up 3 weeks later with their first round qualifying shot of 3.924 @ 195.22 mph. This gave them the number 1 position after the first round of qualifying with their closest competitor 3 tenths of a second behind. Round 2 and 3 would not see the team improve as they worked on their chassis and engine setup.
Pappas 3.93 @ 194 MPH In Testing
Just received this video link from Pappas tuner Don Bailey. Based on my conversations with Don at the finals in Dallas and at the ADRL banquet, I knew they had more in the car since they were just starting to learn what the new motor combo likes as a tune up. I doubt this is the quickest this car can run. Who will be the first in the 3.80’s? It’s going to be a very interesting year in ADRL XTF racing…very interesting indeed!
