Mopar, Magneti Marelli Partnership Takes Center Stage on Matt Hagan’s Dodge Charger Funny Car With Don Schumacher Racing in 2013
Auburn Hills, MI – Mopar’s aftermarket partner, Magneti Marelli is expanding its relationship with Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer care brand, as well as its involvement in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) drag racing series. The international automotive parts supplier will partner with Mopar as primary sponsors of Don Schumacher Racing’s Dodge Charger R/T driven by Matt Hagan for multiple races during the 2013 season.
Race fans will notice a fresh new look to Hagan’s Funny Car starting this weekend at the Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla., as a ‘Magneti Marelli Quality Auto Parts Offered by Mopar’ primary paint scheme will be highlighted on the Dodge Charger R/T entry. The same scheme will soon be displayed on the team’s transporter, as well as driver and crew uniforms.
David Latino tops State Capitol Raceway Pro-Am winners with three Ironman trophies
BATON ROUGE, LA – David Latino knows a thing or two about winning at State Capitol Raceway. The Donaldsonville, Louisiana native has won an event at the Baton Rouge facility in each of the past three seasons, slowly accumulating more and more trophies each time he visits. He won there once in 2011, added two more Ironman trophies to his collection last season and now Latino has added a three-win weekend to his career.

Latino swept Super Stock behind the wheel of his 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt and added a win on Saturday in Stock Eliminator in his 2002 Firebird to take home an Ironman triple at the Division 4 season opener on the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL double-header over the weekend at State Capitol Raceway.
JEFF MILLER PERFORMANCE ANNOUNCES NEOPMA CONTINGENCY PROGRAM FOR 2013
Huntington, NY – Officials from the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association [NEOPMA] revealed that Pro Mod racer Jeff Miller’s Company, Jeff Miller Performance [JMP], will post over $15,000.00 in contingency for NEOPMA racers using one of his JMP engines or blower combinations in their race car during the 2013 season.

JMP builds complete engines for all power adders, fuel system management, blower upgrades and freshening, chassis & shocks setup, on track consulting for tuning and chassis needs. A JMP engine and blower combo used by Steve King has won the NEOPMA championship in 2010 and runner up in 2011.

Danny Rowe Set to Debut New Agave Underground Tequila Sponsorship at 44th annual NHRA Gatornationals
LAGUNA HILLS, CA – Only a week removed from announcing his major sponsorship deal with exclusive tequila company, Agave Underground, Danny Rowe can hardly contain his excitement leading up to this weekend’s kickoff to the NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series season, the 44th annual Amalie Oil NHRA Gatornationals.
Long since known as the East Coast opener and one of the most historic stops on the NHRA trail, the Gatornationals at Auto-Plus Raceway at Gainesville provides the perfect launch pad for Danny Rowe Racing and Agave Underground Tequila first season together.

Hyde pleased with 2012 season, no big changes for 2013
STRATFORD, ON – Other than not catching fellow racer Michael Hinbest in a pair of final rounds in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, Top Sportsman driver Spencer Hyde said he was pleased with his 2012 year of racing.
Everything went pretty well, said the driver of the Hyde Racing 1968 Camaro which placed fourth in points last year. It would have been nice to catch Mike but it just didn’t happen.
Hyde was referring to a pair of final runs where he was eliminated by the Top Dragster of Hinbest. The finalists of both Top Sportsman and Top Dragster are paired against each other for an event showdown, with the winner declared the champion.

Knowles “Blown Money” Team Excited for Amalie Motor Oil NHRA GATORNATIONALS
Grand Junction, CO – Mike Knowles finished the 2012 season one round out of the top 10 in points; in 2013 he and his “Blown Money” team are excited at the prospect of a much higher finish.
“Last season had it’s ups and downs but in the end everything worked out for the best. My crew is much tighter knit now and I feel more in control. Me and my guys work very well together. We’ve finished some off-season testing a few weeks ago and ran into some issues with the car but, were able to regroup and get things figured out. That’s a good feeling. It really gave us some confidence and excitement heading into this year”, said Knowles.
The “Blown Money” team had hoped to debut their new Tim McAmis Race Cars “Mob Themed” Mustang this weekend but will instead shoot for a Charlotte debut if testing goes well before then.
