X-CITEMENT CONTINUES TO BUILD AS X-DRL MAKES ST. LOUIS DEBUT WITH X-TREME GATEWAY SHOWDOWN

Madison, IL – The new X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) takes its inaugural season to St. Louis for the first time with X-Treme Gateway Showdown, which takes place June 14-15 at Gateway Motorsports Park. It is the fourth of nine events in the X-DRL’s debut 2013 season.

This highly-anticipated event will give fans the first look at the action-packed X-DRL, which features many of the top professional doorslammer and Pro Modified drivers in the world as well as nine exciting classes (Pro Junior Dragster, Supercar Showdown, Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, X-Treme Pro Mod, Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Turbo, X-treme Pro Stock, Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and Pro X-Treme, the world’s quickest and fastest doorslammer class).

These classes will provide non-stop action over the two days, with cars going as quick as 3.60 seconds in the 1/8-mile at more than 210 mph.

General admission tickets for X-treme Gateway Madness can be purchased for $15 for Friday night or Facebook fans can download a special voucher for $5 admission. Saturday admission is $25/person or just $40 for as many as you can cram into your car.

All children 12-under are admitted free.

The X-DRL is an 1/8-mile sanctioning body that has already made a favorable impression in its first season. All of its races are broadcast for free online at www.X-DRL.com with a high-quality free broadcast, and the X-DRL has also signed a television contract with Velocity.

The X-DRL is also thrilled to race at Gateway Motorsports Park for the first time.

In addition to experiencing premier eighth-mile drag racing from many of the top professional drivers, all tickets include special VIP pit access, giving fans the opportunity to meet their favorite drivers and race teams.

With an exciting manufacturer midway and pit access in one of the most incredible atmospheres in drag racing, fans can expect maximum value from their X-DRL ticket purchase.

Gates open at 1:00 on Friday and racing begins at 3 p.m.
On Saturday, gates open at 10:00 am and racing begins at noon. Eliminations begin at 3:00 pm with the final round scheduled for 7:30 pm.

“The main idea behind the X-DRL was to create a high-quality association that will bring plenty of excitement and we’re thrilled with what we’ve been able to accomplish in a short time,” said X-DRL co-owner Jeff Mitchell.
