X-TREME GATEWAY SHOWDOWN TO SHOWCASE LOCAL SPONSORS

Madison, IL – From the outset of the 2013 X-DRL season, Morrow Brothers Ford has been thrilled to be part of the new sanctioning body. That excitement has translated into becoming the “Official Vehicle Provider of the X-DRL,” purse bonuses and now a sponsor for drivers Billy Glidden and Terry Leggett.

Those sponsorships will get their biggest opportunity to shine to date when the X-DRL visits St. Louis for the first time for its X-treme Gateway Showdown event at Gateway Motorsports Park. The facility is located just an hour from Morrow Brothers Ford, leaving them thrilled for their latest opportunity.

“We are really looking forward to working with the X-DRL and getting to know the racers. The X-DRL is filled with great people and we can’t wait to be part of the X-DRL’s debut in St. Louis and our home track at Gateway,” John Wellenkamp said. “I really want to thank Alan Cape from Flying A Motorsports for putting us in contact with the X-DRL, and this has helped build our business even more.”

Of course, the event in St. Louis is also big for X-DRL sponsor Flying A Motorsports, which formed a partnership with Pro X-Treme standout Terry Leggett this season.

Leggett and Flying A Owner Alan Cape have a friendship going on 20 years and it led to a partnership for the 2013 X-DRL season that includes one “X-Treme” rendition of Leggett’s truck and trailer.

The picture of Leggett’s Flying A truck and trailer doing a wheelie with spouting flames is prominently displayed on Leggett’s race trailer this season with Flying A Motorsports and Morrow Brothers Ford logos on Leggett’s PX Mustang.

“Alan and I have talked about it the last couple years. For me to get any help, it’s a great big help,” Leggett said.

“It’s a cool deal and it looks really good.”

Heading into St. Louis, Cape has been thrilled with the response the over-the-top design on Leggett’s trailer has received.

“It’s great promotion for me and it’s going to work out well for both of us. It’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s going to be good advertising and it’s going to look good. It’s not your typical look on the side of the trailer,” Cape said. “It’s going to draw some eyes.

Leggett heads to St. Louis with plenty of momentum and is currently seventh in points. He has his sights set on his first X-DRL win, but he’s also thankful of the help Cape and Morrow have provided to the racers and the X-DRL.

“Alan and Morrow have brought a lot to the table when it comes to support,” Leggett said. “They’ve done a lot of great things and helped a lot, and I know the X-DRL is grateful to have them both on board.”

Glidden is certainly thrilled with having Morrow Brothers Ford on board as a sponsor for his 2010 Mustang.

“We really have to pick and choose where we race and we’re thrilled this sponsorship has come through from a great group of people,” Glidden said.

Wellenkamp was extremely excited to be working with a legend in the sport like Glidden, who is competing in the Pro Nitrous class for the first time in his career in 2013. He’s picking up right where he left off in any other category, advancing to the semifinals at the first two races of the season.

Glidden has done well in St. Louis, and getting a win at Morrow Brothers’ home track would made for a memorable moment for everyone involved.
