V Gaines ready for the Toyota NHRA Nationals

With only two races left in the 2015 Mello Yello NHRA season the Kendall Motor Oil guys have made their way back to Las Vegas for the Toyota Nationals. The last couple of races the team has made good progress on set-up and they have been making some strong runs. Finishing out the season with some round wins would help carry the guys through what should be an interesting off season.

“There are a ton of changes heading our way before the 2016 Mello Yello tour kicks off next year but right now we are focused on winning a few rounds this year” V Gaines. “The week off gave us an opportunity to freshen things up and come up with a good game plan for Vegas and Pomona”

Looking into 2016 the guys have had a chance to spend some time with the new fuel injection system and working with the NHRA on the air intake system for the pro stock cars. “No doubt there are some long nights ahead for the guys at Madcap Racing Engines and Lazarus Race Cars” V tells us. “We’ve done a little dyno testing but not much yet”

Racing in Vegas is always an adventure….then you mix in Halloween Night on Saturday and there is no doubt this will be a fun weekend. The guys are looking forward to spending as much time as they can with all their friends and fans.
