V Gaines NHRA Summit Southern Nationals
Atlanta, GA – V and the guys are back doing what they love this weekend as the team is ready for racing action in 
Atlanta.The Kendall Motor Oil crew had a weekend off and spent the time looking at their data and the set up on the Dart. “We have started off a little slower than we hoped” V tells us. “We also are a hard working team and finding the right combo is right around the corner”
“We did not go test in between racing this time” gaines “As a team we felt our time would be better spent taking a good look at the car and the set up. Roger from Lazarus Race Cars spent a couple days at the shop to lend a hand”
As we have all grown to know V he tells us all this with a big smile. “When you have the opportunity to meet as many fans and friends as we do, it’s pretty hard to be down” V Gaines.

V Gaines ready to concur the 4 Wide National presented by Lowes Foods
Charlotte, NC – V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil team have made their way to Charlotte NC for this weekends 
race. The NHRA 4 Wide Nationals is without a doubt the most unique race on the schedule. The event is also the 5th stop of the 24 race schedule that makes up the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.
“The 4 wide race is polarizing, people either love it or not” Gaines tells us. “I kinda like it now, once you get the hang of it as a driver there is a bit of excitement at the line”
If you are new to the sport of NHRA Drag Racing make sure and spend some time this weekend watching the racing action on Fox Sports 1. It looks crazy on TV and in person…lets just say, it’s hard to find the words to describe the energy and excitement.

V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil crew left Florida a couple weeks back with a good feeling. Yea,they came up a 
little short in round one but the Kendall Motor Oil Dart made some strong runs and the team is excited about some of the things they saw.
“We are in a sport where on Sunday it’s all about the win light” V Gaines “Right now it feels like a win light is more rare than Alan Reinhart getting to work on time” The truth is the guys are making big progress with the car and the FI system and we are looking forward to some round wins.
V rolls into Vegas number 11 in the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series points, he is just 4 points out of the top ten. ” We are not where we want to be” says V “But, the season is young and we will get where we need to be”

V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil team have arrived at the 2nd race in the 2016 NHRA Mello Yello season in 
Phoenix AZ. Two weeks ago the guys unloaded the Fuel Injected version of the Kendall Motor Oil Dart in Pomona. As with every Pro Stock team the learning curve is steep and the guys did a great job. V came up a little short in round one but the guys gathered some great data.
Have to laugh a little; we had put together a great press release before Pomona and wrote about the change to FI, the other changes on the car, it was full of great information….the thing with a press release is it only works if you hit the send button and release it. Duh….
V. Gaines headed to Pomona to close out the 2015 season
Pomona, CA – WOW! Where did the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello season go? Seems like just yesterday we were kicking 
off the season. The Kendall Motor Oil guys have made their way back to Southern California for the final race of the year
.
“We are wrapping up the 2015 year and in a way this is a historic race for the Pro Stock class” V Gaines. ” “The next time we come out to race the scoops are gone, the carbs are gone, and a new era starts” V says with a smile.

With only two races left in the 2015 Mello Yello NHRA season the Kendall Motor Oil guys have made their way back 
to Las Vegas for the Toyota Nationals. The last couple of races the team has made good progress on set-up and they have been making some strong runs. Finishing out the season with some round wins would help carry the guys through what should be an interesting off season.
“There are a ton of changes heading our way before the 2016 Mello Yello tour kicks off next year but right now we are focused on winning a few rounds this year” V Gaines. “The week off gave us an opportunity to freshen things up and come up with a good game plan for Vegas and Pomona”
V Gaines NHRA Keystone Nationals Pre-race Report
Reading, PA – V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil team have made their way in the Keystone state for the NHRA 
Keystone Nationals. This is the third weekend in a row the guys have set up camp for a race. The 2015 Mello Yello NHRA season is down to four races and the guys continue to make progress and learn.
“Last weeks race was good as far as our performance but it was a blast as far as spending time with our racing family” V Gaines. “Our friends and fans are so supportive and in all reality very well educated on the Pro Stock class” he continues.
V. Gaones ready for the AAA Insurance Midwest Nationals
St. Louis. MO – The first official weekend of fall finds the Kendall Motor Oil team in the Midwest for the second of 
three races in a row. This weekends AAA Insurance Nationals are taking place in St. Louis, MO. at Gateway Motorsports Park
“We tested here a few weeks back and man it was hot, hot, hot” V Gaines. “We continue to look for ways improve the performance of our Kendall Motor Oil Dart every weekend we race” Then there was a long pause, V put on his famous smile and says….”Wow that was a pretty cookie cutter statement” laughing the whole time.
With 5 races left in the 2015 Mello Yello NHRA Season the guys continue to work hard and race hard. “We pull into every race track with the plan of winning the event” Crew member Mark says “Yea, we may be testing a few things at the same time but winning is why we are there”

The Kendall Motor Oil team are starting the second of three races in a row this Friday and they are on a mission to go some rounds.
V Gaines Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals Lucas Oil Raceway at Indy
As we all turn our calendars to the first or four “Ber” months some thoughts are about kids going back to school, fall 
colors, the summer projects that won’t get done, and yes the holiday season is right around the corner… If you are an NHRA Drag Race fan though all thoughts are about the U.S Nationals in Indy. The biggest, baddest, and coolest drag race ever. The “Big Go” as it is known.
V and the Kendall Motor Oil guys have the same thoughts….Indy Time. The 2015 Mello Yello season may not be going as scripted but I can tell you a strong showing in Indy can change a teams summer. Three days of qualifying and race day on Monday make the U.S. Nationals a special event.
V and the guys stopped off in St. Louis for some testing early in the week as they continue to work on the Kendall Motor Oil Dart. Rolling into Indy late Wednesday to set up camp for the Labor Day weekend race and the opportunity to spend time with friends and fans.
V Gaines Lucas Oil Nationals Brainerd Int’l Raceway Pre-Race Report
V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil team had a much deserved break last weekend and have now made their way to the land of 10,000 lakes.
“We love what we do and everyday we are thankful for the opportunity to race” V Gaines. “I can tell you though… the Western Swing this year…well it just took a toll on us”, “Not in a bad way mind you” gaines.
The Kendall Motor Oil guys worked their tails off during the Western Swing and made some progress with the car. It has been a little hit or miss with the Kendall Motor Oil Dart as the guys are working on some new things. “Well our car is mostly red….it is a Mopar….sounds like a car from a movie” V says with a smile. “Acts like it too sometimes!” laughing as he finished.
