Mickey Thompson continues X275 Sponsorship

Fredericksburg, VA – X275 is once again proud to announce that Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels will be an Official Sponsor of the series. After a very successful first year with X275 MT has decided to step up once again and support the racers in X275 with contingency and year end awards for the racers using Mickey Thompson Tires in the class.

Mickey Thompson Tires Performance Tires and Wheels designs, develops and distributes specialty tires for the street, strip, track, and off-road. Since its founding in 1963, the company has championed many firsts in the tire industry, from wide low-profile street tires to rugged, aggressive-tread off-road tires.

Designing and producing innovative tread patterns and compounds to build the best performance tires in the world was the focus then, and is still the focus today.

In 2010 Mickey Thompson Tires Performance Tires and Wheels worked with the growing series at Maryland International Raceway and Virginia Motorsports Park providing contingency support and new tires to racers that ran the MT ET Street Radial all season with several racers recording wins and runner-up positions on the 275 ET Street Drag Radial Tire.

For 2011 Mickey Thompson Tires Performance Tires and Wheels is going the extra mile in sponsorship support for X275 adding in the 9 – 16 Shootout!

Here’s how it’s going to work for the racers running the MT Tire:
If you are in the Quick 8 and are on Mickey’s and have the contingency decals you will eligible for $100 to win or $50 in contingency for a runner up position.
If the winner of the Q8 is not on the MT Tire the winner of the Shootout will be eligible for the contingency and the same goes for the runner up position.

This program will be available at all X275 races held Maryland International Raceway, New England Dragway, and Virginia Motorsports Park. Mickey Thompson Tires Performance Tires and Wheels will also be providing a set of tires to the top finishers running MT Tires the entire season as a way of recognizing their accomplishments and loyalty to the brand.
