Fredericksburg, VA – X275 is once again proud to announce that GOODYEAR TIRE will be an Official Contingency Sponsor of the series. After a very successful first year with X275 Goodyear has decided to step up once again and
support the racers in X275 with contingency and year end awards for the racers using the GOODYEAR EAGLE SS Drag Radial in the class.
In 2010 Goodyear came on board with a tire that many had tried and found to be competitive with the other brands being used in X275. Not content with leaving the tire alone Goodyear Engineers decided to revise the 2011 Eagle SS Drag Radial based on data gathered in 2010 and racer feedback so we should see a tire that is going to be better than ever.

Fredericksburg, VA – Lenny Croteau of Ultimate Converter Concepts has signed on as the official torque converter company of the X275 series at Virginia Motorsports Park and Maryland International Raceway.

BAER well recognized as an authority in road racing brakes and components has specifically designed new DRAG SPEC systems targeted at the X275 class and the growing number of very heavy (over 3,200-lb) and extremely 
fast cars in similar classes.
BAER’s offering is targeted at withstanding repeated braking and delivering low maintenance to these heavyweight competitors. Where competitive systems are often designed for much lighter cars, competitor’s enthusiasm for Drag Radial and X275 cars at 3200 lbs or more and speeds in excess of 150-mph catalyzed a safety and durability need that was not being competitively addressed. Steve’s interest in cars and Nitrous started while working along side of his dad Gene and today 28 years later Gene and Steve still work side by side at Induction Solutions.

Hoosier Racing Tires signs as Contingency Sponsor with X275

Fredericksburg, VA – X275 is proud to announce that Hoosier Racing Tires will be a Contingency Sponsor at multiple events (19 in all) all the way from Michigan to Florida. As a contingency sponsor 
Hoosier Racing Tire will be supporting racers using the Hoosier 275/60-15 drag radial tire used in X275.
Hoosier Racing Tires is a family owned company started in the 1950’s when owner Bob Newton decided to start retreading street tires with softer compounds for racing.
Working with Mohawk Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio Bob developed processes for making tires strictly for racing. In 1978 Mohawk was closing the plant in Akron where Bob had commuted to daily for 16 years forcing him and his wife Joyce to start R & J Mfg. Corp.

Fredericksburg, Va – Saturday May 8th brought out 22 racers from Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland to Virginia Motorsports Park to race in the X275 Drag Radial Class. X275 drag radial offers a unique blend of cars,
combinations, and characters and after 2 rounds of qualifying Justin Smith claimed the Masters Transmission 804-526-7050 #1 qualifier money with a 5.15/138 mph pass by his 2002 SS Camaro with a nitrous LS based combo built by RPM Motorsports.
Justin was followed closely by Dale Handy in the red 4 eyed mustang with a Handy Racing Engines built nitrous SBF.
