Taylor, DeFlorian, Laurita Head Qualifying List At X-DRL’s Bash On The Bayou At No Problem Raceway
BELLE ROSE, LA – Frankie Taylor once again found himself at the top of Pro X-treme qualifying in the X-treme Drag Racing League (X-
DRL), this time in its debut at No Problem Raceway for the Bash On The Bayou.
Hot conditions didn’t bother Taylor during Friday’s qualifying, as the Pro X-treme standout went 3.70 at 206.45 mph, putting him at No. 1 through three qualifying sessions in Belle Rose, La.
“That would be real cool to be No. 1 again,” Taylor said. “We were pretty happy with that pass, especially doing that in some pretty hot conditions. Just getting down the track with a good run like that is what matters.”
X-DRL Competitors Excited For First Stage Of X-treme Shootout At Bash On The Bayou At No Problem Raceway
KERRVILLE, TX – It may just be the third-ever event for the new X-treme Drag Racing League, but this weekend’s Bash On The Bayou
already has incredible significance thanks to the X-DRL’s “X-treme Shootout.”
The X-DRL previously announced the eight-car shootout for the Pro X-treme, Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and X-treme Pro Stock classes, and will award each class $25,000 ($75,000 overall) and will be contested at the X-DRL’s Thunder In The Heartland on Sept. 20-21 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.
But to qualify for the “X-Treme Shootout,” drivers must be a top eight points earner this weekend at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La., which puts an extreme spotlight on the X-DRL’s first visit to the track.

added bonus that will pay off in a major way for drivers in three different classes.
The X-DRL officially announced on Wednesday the “X-treme Shootout” for the Pro X-treme, Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and X-treme Pro Stock classes. Rain Forces Cancellation Of X-DRL Thunder Valley Madness At Bristol Dragway
BRISTOL, TN – Steady rain showers on Sunday at Bristol Dragway forced the X-Treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) to cancel the rest of
eliminations for the weekend’s X-DRL Thunder Valley Madness.
Action at Bristol was rained out during eliminations on Saturday, and X-DRL officials had hoped to finish the race on Sunday, but persistent showers washed out that possibility.
The race is considered complete and points will be awarded for each X-DRL class based on what was finished during the weekend.
The next race during the 2013 X-DRL season is the Bash On The Bayou, which takes place May 17-18 at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La.
Weather Forces Delay Of X-DRL Thunder Valley Madness Eliminations At Bristol Dragway To Sunday
BRISTOL, TN – Action for the X-treme Drag Racing League’s (X-DRL) Thunder Valley Madness at Bristol Dragway was rained out during
the first round of eliminations on Saturday, but the race is now scheduled to be completed on Sunday in Bristol.
Sunday’s elimination action will begin at 9 a.m. and will pick up with the third pair of Pro X-treme pairings.
The first two first-round winners in Pro X-treme were Terry Leggett and Randall Reid.
X-treme Pro Modified, Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman and Top Dragster did not make a run during eliminations. The first rounds for those respective classes will follow Pro X-treme on Sunday.
Taylor Makes X-DRL Debut, Heads Top Qualifiers At Thunder Valley Madness At Bristol Dragway
BRISTOL, TN – In his first race with the X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) at its debut appearance at Bristol Dragway, Pro X-treme
standout Frankie Taylor left an immediate impression at X-DRL Thunder Valley Madness.
Taylor dipped into the 3.60s right off the trailer and then ended the day with an even bigger bang, closing out three rounds of qualifying on Friday with an incredible 3.646 at 209.07 mph.
“It was good to start off on that note. We ran well right off the trailer and that’s always a great thing,” Taylor said. “That last run, it was nice and smooth, and went right down the track.”

included during the X-DRL’s first appearance at Bristol Dragway
Thanks to sponsor Morrow Brothers Ford, which is also the “Official Vehicle Provider Of The X-DRL,” a special purse bonus has been extended for drivers in the Pro X-treme, Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and X-treme Pro Stock classes at the X-DRL’s second event.
The X-DRL announced on Tuesday that, in addition to the regular purse, all qualifiers in those three classes will earn an extra $500 at the upcoming X-DRL Thunder Valley Madness, which takes place Friday and Saturday at historic Bristol Dragway.
In all, it represents an impressive $24,000 payout bonus at the X-DRL’s second event, adding even more anticipation to the X-DRL’s first appearance in Bristol.
