X-TREME GATEWAY SHOWDOWN TO SHOWCASE LOCAL SPONSORS

Madison, IL – From the outset of the 2013 X-DRL season, Morrow Brothers Ford has been thrilled to be part of the new sanctioning body. That excitement has translated into becoming the “Official Vehicle Provider of the X-DRL,” purse bonuses and now a sponsor for drivers Billy Glidden and Terry Leggett.

Those sponsorships will get their biggest opportunity to shine to date when the X-DRL visits St. Louis for the first time for its X-treme Gateway Showdown event at Gateway Motorsports Park. The facility is located just an hour from Morrow Brothers Ford, leaving them thrilled for their latest opportunity.

“We are really looking forward to working with the X-DRL and getting to know the racers. X-CITEMENT CONTINUES TO BUILD AS X-DRL MAKES ST. LOUIS DEBUT WITH X-TREME GATEWAY SHOWDOWN

Madison, IL – The new X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) takes its inaugural season to St. Louis for the first time with X-Treme Gateway Showdown, which takes place June 14-15 at Gateway Motorsports Park. It is the fourth of nine events in the X-DRL’s debut 2013 season.

This highly-anticipated event will give fans the first look at the action-packed X-DRL, which features many of the top professional doorslammer and Pro Modified drivers in the world as well as nine exciting classes (Pro Junior Dragster, Supercar Showdown, Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, X-Treme Pro Mod, Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Turbo, X-treme Pro Stock, Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and Pro X-Treme, the world’s quickest and fastest doorslammer class).

These classes will provide non-stop action over the two days, with cars going as quick as 3.60 seconds in the 1/8-mile at more than 210 mph.

Goforth Posts Remarkable Turnaround After Crash, Takes Winning XPS Ways To St. Louis For X-treme Gateway Showdown

Holdenville, OK – Don’t plan that retirement party quite yet. X-DRL X-Treme Pro Stock standout proved he’s still got plenty left to offer, Dean Goforthdoing so under remarkable circumstances as well.

Just three weeks following a brutal crash after a parts failure at Bristol Dragway, the 68-year-old Goforth whipped up on his younger counterparts at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La., winning the X-DRL’s Bash On The Bayou with a weekend-best 4.121 at 174.57 mph in his brand new 2013 Jerry Haas Race Cars Camaro.

With that, Goforth takes plenty of momentum into the X-DRL’s X-treme Gateway Showdown, which takes place June 14-15 at Gateway Motorsports Park.

It marks the first appearance in St. Louis for the X-DRL, and Goforth will be one of the favorites in XPS after showing there’s still plenty of talent left to offer the Pro Stock competition.

T.J. Tindle’s First Win Shows He May Already Have Flair For The Dramatic

Belle Rose, LA – The first professional win was always going to be special for T.J. Tindle, and it certainly proved to be that way for the TJ TindleX-treme Pro Mod during the winner’s circle celebration at the X-DRL’s Bash On The Bayou at No Problem Raceway.

But this first win also comes with a story not many could imagine and includes a tale Tindle will be recalling for years to come.

It included a late-night phone call, a middle-of-the-night drive across several state lines and a lengthy thrash, adding up to one incredible backstory to the 18-year-old Tindle’s first victory.

“I was going to race (Saturday) no matter what,” T.J. said.

From 60-feet to 660-feet, Mathis Takes Major Step With First Career Pro Nitrous Win

Belle Rose, LA – Robert Mathis’ weekend at No Problem Raceway started with a killer 60-foot time. It ended with his first career Pro Robert MathisNitrous win.

Mathis went from knocking on the door of the elite in the class to a bonafide championship contender at the X-DRL’s recent Bash On The Bayou. He claimed his first-ever nitrous victory in the class, running 3.868 at 194.18 mph in the finals to beat Jeff Naiser in Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous. It was a welcome moment for Mathis, who has made impressive strides over the past two years in the class.

“It’s about time,” Mathis said from the winner’s circle. “It hasn’t quite hit me, to be honest.”

Mathis took a huge step in his Pro Nitrous career in Belle Rose, La. after knocking on the door for most of the 2012 season.

Pro X-treme Points Race Heating Up After Three Races

Kerrville, TX – It’s the X-DRL’s premier class and through one-third of the season, the talented drivers in Pro X-treme are already X-DRLdelivering a premier points race.

Through two completed events, we’ve gotten two different winners and a huge amount of contenders heading into next month’s X-treme Gateway Showdown, which takes place June 14-15 at Gateway Motorsports Park in St. Louis.

Only eight points separates the top four in the class after three races, and just two rounds separate the top seven.

KEVIN RIVENBARK SCORES RUNNER?UP FINISH AT X?DRL LOUISIANA

Clinton, NC – GALOT MOTORSPORTS’ Kevin Rivenbark scored a great runner?up finish at the X?DRL race at No Problem Raceway in GALOT 2013 RivenbarkBelle Rose, LA on May 17?18, 2013.

After four rounds of qualifying, Rivenbark was ranked third overallfor the Pro Mod class with a best pass of 4.057 at 182.23 MPH in his supercharged Pontiac Firebird, while teammate Todd “King Tut” Tutterow qualified just a hair off the pace in the Pro X?Treme class with his supercharged 1967 Ford Mustang GT500.

During the first round of Pro Mod eliminations, Rivenbark easily drove past his opponent with a strong3.994 at 183.34 MPH pass to take the win. In the finals, Rivenbark went even quicker and faster but lostat the tree in a holeshot battle; despite having a lower ET than his challenger, Rivenbark’s 3.964 at 184.70 MPH run got him through the traps just two feet behind the other car.

D’Aprile Leads Winners List At X-DRL’s Bash On The Bayou

BELLE ROSE, LA – Tommy D’Aprile now has his first X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) win.

Tommy D'Aprile - No ProblemThe Pro X-treme standout put together one impressive performance after another during Saturday’s Bash On The Bayou at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La., finishing off his memorable day and the X-DRL’s third-ever event with a 3.673 at 207.34 mph in the finals against Quain Stott.

“I’m so grateful to have won this race and I’m so blessed to be here,” D’Aprile said. “To win for these guys, it’s just awesome and just to race someone like Quain in the finals, it’s just great.”

Other Bash On The Bayou winners included Robert Mathis (Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous), Dean Goforth (X-treme Pro Stock), T.J. Tindle (X-treme Pro Mod), Todd Moyer (Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Turbo), Keith Raftery (Top Dragster), Bert Prejean (Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman) and P.B. Candies (Supercar Showdown).
