V. Gaines heads to NHRA Sonoma Nationals
Sonoma, CA – Western Swing Part II. Last week V Gaines and the Kendall Motor Oil NHRA Pro Stock team were 
racing in front of the home crowd in Denver Colorado. Beautiful Bandimere Speedway is the first stop in a three week race swing.
“It was really kool seeing all our local friends and fans in Denver” V Gaines. “The weather was perfect, the stands were full, and people had a real good time”
Friday’s runs were like shake down runs for the Kendall Motor Oil guys has this was the first time the Dart went down a track after the fire that happened in testing.
V. Gaines ready for Mopar Mile High NHRA Nationals
Denver, CO – It’s been a couple of weeks since V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil team hit the track at an NHRA 
National event. Normally when the guys have a break in the action they re-stock the trailer, do a little maintenance on the big rig, and if timing works out, do a little testing. So much for normal…
V and his crew did get most of the normal things taken care of in the last couple of weeks but when the team decided to go test the car that’s when things went a little past normal. As V told his friends and fans on Facebook “I saw both Elvis and John Force at 1000′ “. The Kendall Motor Oil Dart had a problem with a fuel line which started a small fire….then it turned into a bigger fire……pretty sure you get the ideal.
V. Ganies Heads to Norwalk looking for Momentum

When you take a look at the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello schedule it looks like Kendall Motor Oil guys would have a little time off after three races in a row…welcome to the life of an NHRA team.
After returning from Bristol they team cut the entire front half of the Kendall Dart off and built a new one. “Hats off to my guys, we had 5 or so guys put in about 60 hours each over the last few days” V Gaines tells us. ” It was like poetry in motion” V goes on to say.
V. Gaines set his sites on Thunder Valley
Bristol, TN – For the third weekend in a V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil Dart have set up camp and are ready to 
do battle. This weekend the guys are at Bristol Raceway. The track is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by big trees, green grass, and fans that know this is a special place.
“The teams love to come race here” V. Gaines “This place is amazing, the staff is amazing, and the fans are so much fun”
With just a few days off the guys worked non-stop on the Kendall Motor Oil Dart. It’s hard to sugar coat how things went in Epping last week as the Dart seemed to have a mind of it’s own on almost every run. ” We were calling this thing Christine last week, it just wouldn’t play nice” Rick tells us.
V. Gaines Headed to Epping for the NHRA New England Nationals
For the second week in a row V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil Dart are ready to do battle in the 2015 NHRA 
Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. This week they have set up camp at New England Dragway just North of Boston.
When putting things together for this update it was hard not to think about asking Tom Brady to come check Tire Pressure for us this weekend…oops…but we better not go there. Although being a race team based out of Denver it’s hard to pass up….
Last weekend V and the guys had an up and down weekend in E-Town. “The weekend started out a little slow for us as we struggled during Friday’s qualifying but Clyde and the guys turned it around for Saturday” V tells us. A couple of solid runs on Saturday set things up for race day.
V. Gaines Pre-Race Report: oyota NHRA SummerNationals
Englishtown, NJ – No matter the sport there are always the venues that offer a special feel that words cannot 
describe….Old Bridge Township Raceway is one of those places. The history at this facility, the people that run the track, and the fans in the area make Old Bridge Township Raceway a team favorite.
The Kendall Motor Oil team has enjoyed a few days off before starting a three weeks in a row stretch in the NHRA Mello Yello schedule.
“Every race team out here works hard…but we are a small team and the guys that work on the Kendall Motor Oil Dart always go above and beyond” V. Gaines “If people only knew the hours and work behind the scenes in this sport they would shake their heads and tell us we are crazy” He goes on with a smile.
V Gaines Summit Southern Nationals Atlanta Dragway
After a couple weeks off the Kendall Motor Oil team along with owner/driver V. Gaines have made their way to the 
Atlanta area for the Summit Southern Nationals. A very historic race track and an event that brings a great deal of excitement.
“As a team we are really excited about getting back to the track” V. Gaines “A couple weeks ago we made some steps in the right direction with our set up and performance”
V and the Kendall guys qualified the Kendall Motor Oil Dart in the top half of the field down in Houston. “A good weekend for us as a team. We have known all along this car has the horse power and the chassis to run the big numbers, it just took a few races to find the sweet spot” V continued.
O’Reilly Auto Parts Spring Nationals Royal Purple Raceway Houston Texas
“Great to have our car back” Fun words to hear from team owner/driver V Gaines. “Couple weeks ago things came together in Vegas”. “This week we did a little more testing in Dallas and I can tell you, we are excited”
V and the Kendall Motor Oil team had a big first round win in Vegas. “That round win sounds pretty small and simple but behind the scenes it really helped bring some pieces together” V Gaines
The guys pulled into Royal Purple Raceway Park and started setting up shop early Thursday. With the Houston area being hometown for Kendall Motor Oil it is always the teams favorite weekend. The Houston area has amazing race fans, race families, along with all our friends from Kendall Motor Oil spending their weekend with us.
V. GAINES NAMED FAN-VOTE WINNER FOR K&N HORSEPOWER CHALLENGE AT LAS VEGAS
LAS VEGAS, NV – Popular veteran racer V. Gaines, driver of the Kendall Oil Dodge Dart, has been named the K&N 
Horsepower Challenge Fan Vote winner and will fill the No. 8 starting spot in the lucrative Pro Stock bonus event.
The 31st annual K&N Horsepower Challenge will be conducted during the running of the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals on Saturday, April 11 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The event will be televised by ESPN2.
This is the third consecutive year Gaines has raced in the event and the fifth time he will race in the K&N Horsepower Challenge. Gaines, who has yet to win the K&N race will face No. 1 qualifier Shane Gray in the opening round of eliminations.
V. Gaines NHRA 4 Wide Nationals Pre-Race Report
Charlotte, NC – Spring time in Charlotte, NC. means the NHRA is making it’s first stop at Z-Max Raceway. The most 
unique race the NHRA puts on starts today as the 4 Wide Nationals get underway.
V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil Team made a quick stop for testing in Tulsa before setting up shop at Z-Max Raceway. “The last time we were here in Charlotte, things kinda went crazy for us” V Gaines. “We started the 2015 season with a brand new Dart and every time we head down a track we get valuable information and we are looking forward to the race this weekend” Gaines.
Last years fall race at Z-Max Raceway, V went for a wild ride as his Pro Stock car crashed at the finish line. “You just have to put that type of thing behind you and stay focused on the race this weekend” V goes on to tell us.
