2022 JEGS Performance Summer Fling Presented by Optima Batteries Pre-Race
Columbus, OH — The second annual JEGS Performance Summer Fling presented by Optima Batteries returns to National Trail Raceway for 
a week of big money and over $50,000 in racer appreciation giveaways as the third installment of the Fling Race Series.
Festivities began with a free Expert Seminar with instructors Peter Biondo, Jeg Coughlin Jr., Jeff Serra, and Johnny Ezell in the JEGS Performance Tower Suite where 60 racers gathered to sharpen their skill set for a full slate of racing.
Cars hit the dragstrip tomorrow with the Law Chevrolet and Buick Test and Tune and Super Tuesday 32-Car Shootout in which each finalist will win a dragster chassis. The winner will choose between a Race Tech or American built frame valued at $16,000.
Advanced Product Design Wednesday features a $15,000 warm-up purse, while Fuel Tech Thursday and American Race Cars Saturday will be $30,000-to-win each day. On ATI Performance main event Friday, racers will stage up for $100,000 while the Mullis Race Cars Racer Appreciation Barbeque kicks off trackside at 7 p.m.
2021 JEGS SUMMER FLING PRESENTED BY OPTIMA BATTERIES PRE-RACE
Hebron, OH – For the first time in the twelve-year history of the Fling bracket racing franchise, a fourth event has been added to the schedule 
in the midwest region at National Trail Raceway in Ohio. The JEGS Performance Summer Fling presented by Optima Batteries will host hundreds of hardcore competitors to contest for big money and prizes.
In a similar fashion to the other three Fling events, racers may simply show up and pay at the gate and have the option to purchase a ‘3-Day Special’ or single-day entry. A single day entry will be allowed a ‘New Entry Time Run’ if the vehicle has not been down the track prior in the week regardless of the driver.
The action begins on Tuesday with Law Chevrolet and Buick Test and Tune followed by the American/Race Tech 32-Car Shootout in the afternoon. FST Carburetors Wednesday Warm-Up will pay $15,000, while on American Race Cars Thursday and FuelTech Saturday racers line up for two separate $25,000 to win races. ATI Performance Friday will feature the $100,000 main event.
Biondo and Seipel to Host 4th Fling in the Midwest
Hebron, OH – For the past 11 years, co-promoters Pete Biondo and Kyle Seipel have built the Fling brand of high dollar bracket racing into an 
event everyone wants to attend and everyone wants the win on their resume. From meager beginnings in 2010 to now three big races all over the country, the Fling is now pleased to announce an addition of a fourth event, the Summer Fling, in 2021 at National Trail Raceway outside of Columbus, Ohio.
“With the success of our other Fling events,” said Biondo, “we felt it was time to expand. The demand has been overwhelming and even though we get a lot of Midwest racers attend our Flings in Bristol, Galot, and even in Las Vegas, expanding to central Ohio gives more racers a chance to ‘Race It, Experience It’, which has been our Fling staple.
“Kyle has known the track’s personnel, Jay Livingston and Jason Murray for 33 years,” added Biondo. “Once I met with them, we realized we all had the same mindset, to give racers a great event, an event that we ourselves would always like to have raced at. That was the basis of our understanding when we began in 2010, and it remains the same today.”
