PSCA, Rocky Mountain Summer Series Adds 3rd Date in Albuquerque

LAS VEGAS – With less than a week to go before the kickoff of the MagnaFuel Rocky Mountain Summer Series at the legendary Bandimere Speedway near Denver, the Pacific Street Car Association has announced a third RMSS date. The final event of the three-race series is to be held at Albuquerque (New Mexico) Dragway Sept. 27-28. This season is the 50th anniversary season at the track and will feature the PSCA Outlaw 10.5, Xtreeme Drag Radial/True Ten Five, and Outlaw 8.5 classes.

“Small-tire racing is as popular as ever these days and the PSCA does it better than anyone out west!” said Robert Costa, Albuquerque Dragway owner/president. “This will be the track’s first experience with an event like this and we’re going to give our fans a real show.”

Houston: We Don’t Have a Problem

LAS VEGAS, NV – In drag racing, heat is the great equalizer. When the weather is cool and overcast, the fastest (i.e. well-funded) racer Artis Houstontends to win. But when the track is slimy, greasy, and slick, that’s when the skill of the driver comes into play. No matter the setup, when it’s hot and humid, it takes a real shoe to get to the finish line first.

At the recent MagnaFuel PSCA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Pacific Street Car Association veteran Artis Houston, a competitor in the Mickey Thompson Wild Street class, added to what has been an amazing year when he qualified No. 1 and set the class ET and Speed Records (4.952/148.69) on his way to the victory in the heat of the Nevada desert.

PSCA Bringing the Heat For MagnaFuel Nationals April 26-28 at LVMS

LAS VEGAS, NV The Pacific Street Car Association is gearing up for its next event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the Magnafuel NationalsPSCA/MagnaFuel Las Vegas Nationals on April 26-28. Gates open at Noon on Friday and 8 a.m. local time Saturday and Sunday with spectator tickets going for $20 per day or $40 for all three days.

As has become standard for the PSCA’s events, the PSCA/MagnaFuel Las Vegas Nationals is going to be a must-attend event for racers and race fans. In addition to some of the best straight line racing in the country, fans will be treated to dueling jet cars, Terminal Velocity and the MavTV Missile.

The West Coast Outlaw Pro Mods will also be on hand along with a huge car show, tons of vendors, and live entertainment. Racers can also look forward to a $500 double-up bonus.

PSCA is Back in Sac-Town This Weekend For Nor-Cal Nats

Sacremento, CA – The Pacific Street Car Association is goin’ back to Cali this weekend. Specifically, the PSCA Presented by Chris Alston’s Chassiworks, along with the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association and some of the top racers from the Pacific Northwest, will race at Sacramento Raceway Park this Friday through Sunday in the Nor-Cal Nationals. For PSCA racers gunning for the season title, the sanction is providing 50 bonus points to every driver that enters this event. Spectator Tickets are only $20 per day or a 3-day weekend pass at $45

PSCA is debuting a new format for racers this weekend called The Grudge Line, allowing competitors to turn off the scoreboard (if they wish) and race heads up against their opponent, fastest to the finish line wins. Also featured this weekend is the Bracket 1 and Street Muscle “Run for the Money Pass for Cash” with a guaranteed $250 to win for the racer with the run closest to their dial in.

PSCA Announces MagnaFuel Title Sponsorship of Rocky Mountain Summer Series

LAS VEGAS, NV – MagnaFuel, a longtime partner of the Pacific Street Car Association, has stepped up to become the title sponsor of RMSS LOGO MagnaFuelthe MagnaFuel Rocky Mountain Summer Series, a pair of races at the legendary Bandimere Speedway near Denver June 1-2 and Aug. 16-17.

In addition to the two-race deal at Bandimere taking place during the track’s 55th-anniversary season, MagnaFuel is also the title sponsor for PSCA’s Outlaw 10.5 class and its XDR/TT5 class. PSCA Makes Triumphant Return With Nor-Cal Nationals

PSCA NorCal ShootoutFor the first time in a decade, PSCA Presented by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks, along with the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association, will race at Sacramento Raceway Park March 22-24 in the Nor-Cal Nationals. For PSCA racers gunning for the season title, the sanction is providing 50 bonus points to every driver that enters this event.

PSCA Kicks Off ’13 Season With Chris Alston’s Chassisworks Record Breaker Nats in Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV – The off-season is over and the Pacific Street Car Association is kicking off the 2013 campaign in grand fashion this week with the Chris Alston’s Chassisworks Record Breaker Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.RB-Crest

The event starts Friday and features all the PSCA classes including the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mods, and Jr. Dragsters, live music, a huge vendor row, and a massive car show. The race weekend will also include the stars of the NHRA Mello Yello Series Pro Stock class, who will be there testing prior to the beginning of their season along with some Top Fuel and Top Alcohol teams.

“The great thing about Vegas and motorsports is that they share the same belief of go big or go home and we’re definitely going big for the season opener of our 14th year for the PSCA,” said Mel Roth, sanction president. “We’re looking forward to a great event with our racers, our amazing fans, and some of the folks over at the NHRA Mello Yello Series providing some additional on-track entertainment.

PSCA, WCOPMA Team Up For 3 Events in ‘13

REDDING, CA – The West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association and the Pacific Street Car Association have formed a partnership for three PSCA and WCOPMA Working Togetherevents over the course of the 2013 season.  Two of the scheduled events will be held at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with one at Sacramento Raceway Park. A fourth event is pending. The WCOPMA will replace the Pro Street class as the quickest and fastest class in the PSCA. Hughes Performance will still be involved with the class as a sponsor.

The first of the three events will be in Las Vegas at the Ford Racing Record Breaker Nationals held February 8-10, which will kick off both the WCOPMA and PSCA 2013 seasons. The second event will be at Sacramento Raceway Park and it will be the first time the PSCA has hosted an event at Sacramento Raceway in ten years.

PSCA Announces 2013 Las Vegas Race Dates

LAS VEGAS, NV – The Pacific Street Car Association Presented by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks has announced the Las Vegas race dates PSCA 2013for its 14th season of competition. The Sin City section of the season will begin Feb. 8-10 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the Ford Racing Record Breaker Nationals, an event that will be shared with the stars of the NHRA Mello Yello Series Pro Stock class, who will be there testing prior to the beginning of their season along with some Top Fuel and Top Alcohol teams.

Wrapping up the Las Vegas portion of the season for the ninth year is the Street Car Super Nationals at The Strip Nov. 14-17. The event this past year saw records crumbles, most notably Jose “El General” Gonzalez making a pass of 5.730 seconds in Pro Street, the quickest-ever run in door-slammer history.

LAS VEGAS, NV – On the heels of a record-setting Street Car Super Nationals VIII that saw the quickest pass in doorslammer history SCSN IX Plate 2013with Jose Gonzalez’s pass of 5.730 seconds, the Pacific Street Car Association has announced the ninth edition of one of drag racing’s biggest must-see events is scheduled for Nov. 14-17, 2013 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Drag addicts can expect to see faster car, quicker times, bigger wheelies, and more straight-line excitement from Bruton Smith’s drag racing desert oasis. With the event being held the weekend prior to Thanksgiving, it’s a great time to head to Las Vegas for a family vacation that won’t be forgotten.
