Camarena has raced a Suzuki in the Pro Stock series since 1999, when he was a finalist for NHRA Rookie of the Year, finishing 14th in the standings after racing at nine of the 14 Pro Stock Bike events that year.

Last year, Camarena established his career-best e.t. time of 6.842 at 197.77 mph during the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, N.C. on March 29, 2015. POMONA, CA – Staying true to the days of early drag racing, Prolong(r) Super Lubricants will unveil its much-anticipated 1955 Chevy 210 four-door Wagon at the Grand National Roadster Show, Jan, 29 – Jan. 31 in the Pure Vision booth in Building 4 of the Fairplex at the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona, Calif. Prolong’s ’55 Wagon is inspired by Prolong’s support of the hot rod, muscle car and drag racing markets, and it is styled after the classic drag-support vehicles that were fixtures at drag strips across the country during the 1960s.

Prolong’s wagon project showcases the vintage design details that keep it true to design cues indicative of a ’60s race support vehicle. It also features modern hidden amenities, such as air conditioning and BlueTooth technology. Prolong’s ’55 Wagon is designed to be an efficient, serviceable vehicle whose fold-down rear seat and flat deck will be used as intended-to carry cargo to racing events and car shows throughout the year.

POMONA, CA – Decades after the inaugural event forever changed racing in the region, the 43rd annual Pepsi Night fire Nationals returned to western Idaho’s Firebird Raceway as part of the storied Boise-Bakersfield Blitz, supported by the Prolong Super Lubricants line of Nitro Racing Oil. Once again, the series set the bar for excitement in nostalgic AA Nitro Funny Car racing, as the event culminated in a four-way battle for the series championship.

Racers Dan Horan, Jr. and Robert Overholser are now tied for first place, a mere two points ahead of tied second-place racers Richard Townsend and Roger Garten, as the four-race series continues on to its final race at Auto Club Famoso in Bakersfield, Calif. Horan’s hard-charging 5.851-second elapsed time at 249.37 miles per hour proved the fastest time of the event.

POMONA, CA – Prolong(r) Super Lubricants will continue its support of the NHRA Heritage Series after wrapping up the Boise-Bakersfield Blitz, which pitted nostalgia nitro funny car veteran Dan Horan, Jr. in his “Patriot” 1966 Mustang against rookie nitro funny car pilot Robert Overholser in his “California Hustler” 1977 Firebird.  Horan Jr. won the Blitz by a slim nine points, receiving a prize package worth more than $4,000, including $1,500 of Prolong’s 50W Nitro Racing Oil.

POMONA, CA – Retired Marine and former street stock and drag racer Richard Severance is so impressed with Prolong’s products, that when his daughters began participating in the IHRA’s Jr. Drag Racing League, he insisted on nothing but Prolong products in the engines and tanks of the girls’ Jr. Dragsters.

Impressed with the girls’ potential and passion for drag racing, Prolong became their sponsor in January of 2013. The Severance family will donate all the monetary proceeds from the girls’ winnings throughout 2013 to The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) on behalf of Prolong.

Richard, who is a wounded warrior, joined the Marines in 1983 and retired from a military career in 2004. His daughters, Treasure, 14, and Angelica, 13, were both born in Okinawa and are proud to be able to support the WWP.
