HORAN JR WINS 2013 BOISE-BAKERSFIELD BLITZ

POMONA, CA – Prolong(r) Super Lubricants will continue its support of the NHRA Heritage Series after wrapping up the Boise-Bakersfield Blitz, which pitted nostalgia nitro funny car veteran Dan Horan, Jr. in his “Patriot” 1966 Mustang against rookie nitro funny car pilot Robert Overholser in his “California Hustler” 1977 Firebird.  Horan Jr. won the Blitz by a slim nine points, receiving a prize package worth more than $4,000, including $1,500 of Prolong’s 50W Nitro Racing Oil.

The top finishing Boise-Bakersfield Blitz participants will compete at the prestigious 2014 March Meet at Auto Club Famoso Raceway for an additional $3,000 prize package.  The series ran  April 26 – 28 during NAPA Auto Parts Ignitor at Firebird Raceway in Eagle, Ind.; June 15 during Famoso Raceway’s Saturday Night Nitro Shows and on July 13 in McFarland, Calif.; and Aug. 8 -11 during the 42nd Pepsi Nightfire Nationals at Firebird Raceway at Firebird Raceway.
