Maryland Int’l Raceway in Mechanicsville, MD, June 8-10, 2012.
Mopar Now, published by the folks who produce Mopar Muscle, will provide awesome pre-event and post-event coverage of the Late-Model HEMI Shootout. This NMCA event will feature all the cars and all the stars of the NMCA series as well as the coolest modern HEMI race and show cars in the country. Late-Model HEMI competitors join the NMCA’s already large base of muscle car racers and enthusiasts. Other exciting features of this NMCA event include a huge car show, a giant manufacturers’ midway/swap meet and a 300+ mph jet dragster!
LSX Challenge Series Heats the Tires for 2012

ORLANDO, FL – The Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series is back for 2012 – and more competitive than ever. It is the premier racing series for street-based vehicles powered by Chevrolet’s LS and LSX engines. 
Along with supporting the LSX Shootout series, Chevrolet Performance enables racers to compete and win with a growing range of LSX maximum-performance crate engines and engine parts, including the LSX454R racing engine (part number 19257880). Chevrolet Performance also offers LSX Bowtie blocks – with the tall-deck version for building large-displacement engines of up to 500 cubic inches – as well new drag-race six-bolt cylinder heads, intake manifolds and forged rotating components.

Indianapolis, IN – The NMCA has moved its World Street Finals & LSX Shootout event to beautiful Lucas Oil Raceway 
Park – Indianpolis, Indiana. The FueLab NMCA World Street Finals will once again combine with the 5th Annual GM Performance Parts LSX Shootout, the largest LS event of the year. Lucas Oil Raceway Park, offering a huge facility with all-paved pits and wonderful local accommodations, is the perfect venue to celebrate the end of the NMCA season.
At the largest NMCA and LS event of the year you can expect to see all the cars and all the stars of NMCA and LS drag racing. AEROSPACE COMPONENTS NHRA UNLEASHED AND NMCA TO JOIN FORCES

GLENDORA, CA —It was announced today that the Aerospace Components NHRA Unleashed program will combine forces with the National Muscle Car Association (NMCA) to 
deliver an unparalleled offering of fun and close side-by-side racing for fans and competitors alike. The popular Aerospace Components NHRA Unleashed program, which was formed in 2010, will be featured at five NMCA events for the remainder of the 2011 season.
NHRA has revised the 2011 Aerospace Components NHRA Unleashed class rules and official schedule. Moving forward, the Unleashed classes will be featured at the following NMCA events: Auto Club Dragway at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana (July 8-10); Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Ky. (Aug. 5-7); Milan Dragway, Milan, Mich. (Aug. 26-28); Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis, (Oct. 6-9); and Royal Purple Raceway, Houston (Nov. 11-13).
SCOGGIN-DICKEY OFFERS FREE RACER ENTRY FOR GM LSX CHALLENGE SERIES ATLANTA RACE, APRIL 14-17

GRAND BLANC, MI – GM Performance Parts’ (GMPP) LSX Challenge Series heads to Atlanta Dragway (Commerce, Ga.), April 14-17, for the second of the four-race points race. And for the second race in a row, Scoggin-Dickey Parts
Center is picking up the tab for the racer entry fee (up to $195 – including a one-year NMCA membership) for all LSX Challenge competitors.
The Atlanta race comes only a few weeks after the inaugural event at Bradenton, Fla., where the action included a nitrous-assisted 7.91 pass by Mike Meeks, driving his pro-style Firebird in the Drag Radial class, along with the winning performance of Mark Carlyle, who claimed the Drag Radial class trophy against Meeks in his street-driven, turbocharged Corvette Z06. It turned a best time of 8.19 seconds at more than 180 mph. The car is currently the quickest IRS Corvette in the country, with an all-time best ET of 8.15 at 173 mph. Carlyle believes the car will go faster and plans to prove it at the Atlanta race.
Dave Duell Classic Finds New Home at NMCA Bowling Green Event

Santa Ana, CA – One of the largest Nostalgia Super Stock races in the country will be calling Beech Bend Raceway and 
the NMCA home in 2011.
For the past five years the Monster Mopar event at Gateway International Raceway (Madison, Ill.) hosted the Dave Duell Classic, but with the abrupt closing of the St. Louis-area drag strip at the conclusion of the 2010 racing season, event founder Doug Duell, needed to find a new venue to host the event, which is named after his late father, Dave.
After considering many options, Duell has announced that the Dave Duell Classic will be held August 5-7, 2011 at Beech Bend Raceway Park in conjunction with the NMCA-Flowmaster event at the famed Bowling Green, Ky. track “Bowling Green has a great Super Stock tradition,” Duell said.
