DAVE DENSMORE HONORED WITH FOUNDERS AWARD AT HALL OF FAME BANQUET

GAINESVILLE, FL – Last night Dave Densmore one of the most visible and respected public relations specialists in Densmore and Forcemotorsports was presented with the Founder’s Award during the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame banquet.  Densmore was introduced by long-time friend and business partner Steve Earwood and 16-time NHRA Funny Car champion John Force. For nearly four decades Densmore has been the spokesperson for the top names in drag racing as well as both top series.

“I have been lucky in my career to work with some amazing people. My fellow PR peers are some of the best in the business. I have to thank so many drivers from Kenny Bernstein, Raymond Beadle to John Force plus so many more,” said Densmore.

Team Force Readies for the Gator Nats

NEW LOOK JOHN FORCE WANTS MORE AT GATORNATIONALS

GAINESVILLE, FL – For the first time in his career John Force will roll into the historic NHRA Gatornationals John Force - BLUE DEF driving a blue Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car. His 10,000 hp race car will be adorned with new sponsors BlueDef and Peak Anti-Freeze and Coolants for this race and Force is ready to put on a good show for his new primary sponsor and the tens of thousands of fans who will pack the grandstands.

“Robert (Hight) and I have been working for almost two years on new sponsor deals. I am excited to have BlueDef on the side of my Chevy hot rod this weekend. They are doing a national promotion with my team and have been followings us all the way from our Brownsburg shop to Gainesville. BlueDef is the lifeblood for these Freightliners and winning is my lifeblood,” said an excited Force.

HIGHT RACES TO BACK TO BACK SEMI-FINALS

CHANDLER, AZ – The Automobile Club of Southern California Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car and driver Robert Robert Hight and John Force - Sun - Ron LewisHight raced to their second consecutive semi-final finish of 2015 today at the 31st annual CARQUEST NHRA Nationals outside of Phoenix. Hight narrowly missed his first final round of the season dropping the semi-final race to veteran Del Worsham by .004 of a second after Hight grabbed a huge starting line reaction time advantage. Hight’s reaction time combined with his elapsed time of 4.050 second to Worsham’s quicker 4.010 was almost enough to get him the win.

“There was a little bobble early in the run. There was just a little bit of shake and I almost lifted. I moved over just a little and I think that movement was just enough to keep us from getting around Del’s run. We will be ready for Gainesville in two weeks. We are going to test tomorrow and I am ready to get back on the track,” said Hight.

Team Force Pre-race Reports for Phoenix

JOHN FORCE READY TO START CHASE FOR 17th CHAMPIONSHIP AT WILD HORSE PASS

CHANDLER, AZ – John Force will tell you he is part Indian on his mom’s side and the 16-time Funny Car champion John Force - Pnoma 2015 - Fridayis looking to represent his team, his family and his new sponsors well at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. In late January while the team tested in preparation for the upcoming season Force was invited to talk to a group from the local Chamber of Commerce along with the track management team from the Gila River tribe. Force regaled the crowd with stories and posed for photos with the excited group. At the end of the talk he thanked the Gila River tribe for giving him a place to race.

This weekend Force will be back in entertainer mode as he brings his brand new Peak Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet Camaro SS to the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals. The undisputed winningest driver in NHRA history is ready to get back in the winner’s circle at a track that he has dominated for eight wins.

COURTNEY FORCE No. 2 HEADED INTO SUNDAY

J. Force and Hight Square Off in First Round Match-up

CHANDLER, AZ – The final day of qualifying at the 31st annual CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals saw Courtney Forceincredibly quick times in Funny Car and further established the class as one of the most competitive in recent memory. Courtney Force’s 3.996 second pass on Friday was bumped back one spot by Matt Hagan’s 3.978 second run (fifth quickest run in history). Teammates John Force and Robert Hight will square off in an intra-team first round match-up as both drivers were quick and consistent but still wound up No. 7 and No. 10 respectively.

Courtney and her Traxxas Chevrolet Camaro SS team will race Shane Westerfield in the opening session. It will be the first time the four year veteran has faced Westerfield.

HIGHT RACES AUTO CLUB CAMARO TO SEMIS

POMONA, CA – For only the third time in the last fifteen seasons John Force Racing did not advance a Funny Car to Robert Hight Pomona Sunday, Brandin Bakerthe final round of the Circle K NHRA Winternationals. Robert Hight drove his Automobile Club of Southern California Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car to a semi-final finish today at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. JFR had won the previous five Winternationals and seven of last nine; Hight, 2006, 2008 and 2011; John Force, 2010, 2012 and 2014; and Courtney Force, 2013. Hight will leave the first stop of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series in third place in the Mello Yello Funny Car point standings.

Hight, the No. 7 qualifier, outran veteran Tim Wilkerson 4.066 seconds to 4.385 seconds in the opening round. In the second round Hight did not have lane choice against Tommy Johnson Jr. but a superior reaction time gave Hight the advantage he would need for a hole shot win, 4.085 seconds to a quicker 4.080.

COURTNEY FORCE QUALIFIES No. 1 AT WINTERNATIONALS

POMONA, CA – Courtney Force and her Traxxas Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car team got the jump on the Courtney Force - Q3 - Pomonacompetition today at the Circle K NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Calif. when they made their first official sub four-second run and became the first No. 1 qualifier of 2015 in the Funny Car class. The 26-year-old posted a 3.995 second ET at 322.65 mph rocketing to the top of the field in the third qualifying session. This is her eighth No. 1 qualifier.

The last time a Chevrolet Camaro was No. 1 qualifier was Tony Pedregon at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2004.

JOHN FORCE PROVISIONAL No. 3 QUALIFIER ON FRIDAY

POMONA – After a tumultuous off-season John Force Racing started the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing John Force - Pnoma 2015 - FridaySeries season with a strong first day of qualifying and high hopes for Saturday at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. The team’s efforts were led by 16-time NHRA Funny Car champion and defending Circle K Winternationals Funny Car champion John Force’s provisional No. 3 qualifying effort, 4.061 seconds at 313.66 mph.

Force posted his best time on Friday in the first qualifying session running within one thousandth of a second of the top spot and picked up two qualifying bonus points for the effort. At the top end Force expressed his excitement to be back on the track.

JOHN FORCE RACING WRAPS UP SUCCESSFUL PRE-SEASON TEST SESSION IN PHOENIX

CHANDLER, AZ – John Force Racing wrapped up the 2014 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season with three Brittany Force - Phoenix testingFunny Cars in the top five and a top ten finisher in Top Fuel. As soon as the NHRA Awards Banquet was over the entire operation went to work to get better for 2015. After an off-season of hard work at the sprawling race team complex in Brownsburg, Indiana, the entire team saw success during a four day test session at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, site of the Carquest NHRA Nationals, February 20-22.

“We have a lot of talent here. We had a lot of change in our crews which was our biggest challenge. We are excited to have Lucas Oil on board. Naturally PEAK coming on board with my Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car is big. You look at our new Funny Car body we worked with the NHRA on to get it approved,” said John Force. “We didn’t think it would be any better or any worse. It is 15-17 pounds heavier now. My guys have already put me on a diet.”
