JFR not giving up, still in the hunt for a championship in Vegas

FORCE STILL IN CHAMPIONSHIP HUNT LOOKING FOR LUCK IN LAS VEGAS

LAS VEGAS – John Force is looking for a repeat performance at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Mike Neffweekend during the Toyota NHRA Nationals. In the spring at this track Force outran teammate Robert Hight in the final to get his first win of the 2015 season. It was a big win for the 16-time champion since he was racing for a new manufacturer, Chevrolet, and a handful of new sponsors, Peak Antifreeze and Coolant and Lucas Oil, along with Auto Club, Traxxas, and Mac Tools.

“That win showed the new partners and the old ones that I have the guts to keep doing this. Auto Club and Traxxas and Mac Tools stood by me and then we brought on Peak Antifreeze, Lucas Oil and Chevrolet. I have a young group of guys and we pulled together. We have been working every race on getting better and it showed that day in Las Vegas,” said Force from the Las Vegas press room.

JOHN FORCE TO LIGHT UP LAS VEGAS WITH EiKO

LAS VEGAS – This weekend in Las Vegas 16-time Funny Car champion John Force will be swapping the traditional blue of his PEAK® Antifreeze & Coolant Camaro SS Funny Car for a one race look with EiKo Lighting.  EiKO is a manufacturer and distributor of first-class automotive lighting products, which was recently acquired by Old World Industries, LLC. Force’s Chevrolet will also feature Old World Industries products PEAK Antifreeze & Coolant, BlueDEF, Final Charge® Heavy-Duty Coolant and Herculiner® Bed Liner products in addition to the traditional John Force Racing partners Auto Club, Chevrolet, Traxxas, Monster Energy and Mac Tools.

“I am excited to be running the EiKO Chevrolet Camaro this weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. We have been partners with PEAK and Old World Industries for over two seasons and we are trying to give some of their other brands more exposure. This will be a big weekend for us as we try and stay in the hunt for the Funny Car championship. I have great partners and I want to continue to bring new business into the NHRA. MOTORPLEX HIGH PERFORMANCE WEEKEND ENDS EARLY FOR JFR

ENNIS, TX – After qualifying three race cars in the top half and setting a Funny Car track speed record John Force John Force - Motorplex Sunday - Gary NastaseRacing advanced three race cars to the second round at the Texas Motorplex. Robert Hight and the AAA Texas Chevrolet Camaro Funny Car qualified No. 4 and moved up to the No. 9 spot in the points today while Brittany Force slipped one spot to No. 4 and John Force held onto his No. 6 spot.

The AAA Texas Camaro Funny Car and Robert Hight outran Cory Lee in the first round. Hight drove his Mike Neff tuned Funny Car to the win on the strength of their 3.971 second run at 321.19 mph. The win propelled Hight into 9th place in the points and set up a second round match-up with Ron Capps.

B. FORCE QUAL 3rd and HIGHT STARTS 4th at AAA TEXAS FALLNATIONALS

ENNIS, TX – Three of the four John Force Racing drivers will start from the top half of the field at the 30th annual Courtney Force - Motorplex, Saturday - Gary NastaseAAA Texas NHRA FallNationals and JFR is guaranteed to advance at least one Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car to the second round. On the strength of four solid runs including a blistering 3.749 second run on Friday night Brittany Force and the Monster Energy Top Fuel team will start from the No. 3 position. Robert Hight and the AAA Texas Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car team will start No. 4 and will race Cory Lee for the first time. The marque match-up in the first round will feature No. 7 qualifier John Force against daughter and defending event winner Courtney Force.

Courtney and John Force will race each other for the fifteenth time in their careers. Courtney qualified in the No. 10 position will give up lane choice to the 16-time champion in the opening round tomorrow.

JFR IN GOOD POSITION ON RECORD SETTING FRIDAY AT MOTORPLEX

ENNIS, TX – Brittany Force and the Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster team led the qualifying efforts for John Brittany Force - Motorplex, FridayForce Racing on a record setting day at the 30th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals. Force finished the day as the No. 2 provisional qualifier on the strength of her 3.749 second run at 326.71 mph. The run was the second quickest of the session and re-established a four point lead over the driver in the No. 4 position in points.

“You want every point you can possibly get. The fact that we made up for dropping two points in Q1 with a good run in Q2 it big. Every point counts this far along in the game. With three races left everything could add up at the end of the season and those points could be valuable,” said Force, who just missed qualifying for the 2014 FallNationals.

With 3 races left in the Countdown, don’t count JFR out of the hunt for a champioship

JOHN FORCE HAS CHAMPIONSHP WITHIN HIS GRASP AGAIN

ENNIS, TX – Overcoming long odds and big deficits is nothing new to John Force or the NHRA’s Countdown to One John Force - staging laneschampionship format. Heading into the 30th annual AAA Texas FallNationals John Force and his Traxxas logoed Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car are 150 points out of first place and sit in the No. 6 position in the Mello Yello point standings. History might be on Force’s side once again.

In 2008 with three races left in season Cruz Pedregon was in 6th place in the points and 115 points away from the title. Pedregon won the last three races and cruised to his second Funny Car championship. He was 93 points ahead at the end of the season a remarkable 203 point improvement over three races on the No. 1 driver.

In 2009 Force’s own teammate Robert Hight entered the Countdown as the No. 10 driver and he picked up three wins and essentially wrapped up the title by the conclusion of the fifth race. Hight only needed to qualify at the season ending Auto Club Finals to win his first Funny Car championship.

JOHN FORCE TO GO TRAXXAS RED FOR AAA TEXAS FALLNATIONALS

ENNIS, TX – John Force fans will be seeing red during the 30th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals this John Force Traxxas Funny Car for  Motorplexweekend at the famed Texas Motorplex. They won’t be mad at the 16-time Funny Car champion who is only 150 points away from his 17th NHRA Mello Yello Funny Car championship but rather they will see Force behind the wheel of a newly designed red Traxxas Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car. The seven-time FallNationals winner will be joined in Traxxas themed race cars by daughter Courtney Force who will continue to campaign a pink Traxxas Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car for the second race in a row to support breast cancer awareness month.

“I love that fact that I’ll be running the red Traxxas Chevrolet in Ennis. Texas is the home state for Traxxas and they have been really good to John Force Racing and the NHRA. I have won the Traxxas Shootout a couple of times and I want to get another win at the Texas Motorplex. Courtney and I will both be promoting Traxxas as well as all our sponsors that weekend and hopefully one of us will get the win,” said Force, who last won at the Texas Motorplex in 2005.

SEMI-FINAL FINISH CAPS SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND FOR B. FORCE

READING, PA – The Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster and Brittany Force raced to another semi-final finish and Brittany Force - Maple Grove, Sunday moved up to the No. 3 position in the Mello Yello point standings this weekend. This was Force’s fifth semi-final finish to go along with two runner-up finishes and the third year pro is aggressively trying to chase down the points leaders with three Countdown races left in 2015.

This weekend at the 31st running of the NHRA Keystone Nationals Force was the No. 1 qualifier with a career best elapsed time of 3.725 seconds and in the opening round against No. 14 qualifier Dave Connolly Force stepped up even more with a blistering and session best 3.707 second run at 328.46 mph.

HIGHT AND B. FORCE No. 1 AT KEYSTONE NATIONALS

READING, PA – It was a quick and short day of qualifying at the 31st annual NHRA Keystone Nationals at Maple Brittany Force - Maple Grove, Saturday, Gary NastatseGrove Raceway. The professional classes were only able to get one qualifying run and two drivers from John Force Racing made the most of their lone opportunity. Brittany Force and the Monster Energy Top Fuel team blasted to the No. 1 spot with career best elapsed time and speed numbers, 3.725 seconds and 331.53 mph. The Auto Club Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car driven by Robert Hight set the standard in Funny Car with track record and personal best times of 3.922 seconds at 329.34 mph.

Rain delayed the start of the first qualifying session and Hight was the lone Funny Car driver to get his 10,000 hp race car to the finish line cleanly in the session and he while he was pleased with the performance he was not over-confident with his team’s effort.

Team Force heads to Maple Grove with a soggy weather forecast on the horizon

FORCE HAS CHAMPIONSHIP IN SIGHT HEADING TO MAPLE GROVE

READING, PA – With four races left in the 2015 season John Force and the Peak Antifreeze Chevrolet Camaro SS John Force - Gary NastaseFunny Car team have their eyes on the prize. Coming out of the AAA Insurance Midwest Nationals Force raced to a quarter-final finish and managed to hang onto 5th place in the Mello Yello point standings. The 16-time champion knows he will need to start winning races if he has a chance to chase down points leader Del Worsham over the next six weeks.

“The Funny Cars are running together like Pro Stock. A lot of it is made up on the starting line. I am working on my own reaction times. I am just working on getting better. The key is we have four races and there are a lot of rounds still out there. We’ll see what happens,” said Force after the St. Louis race.
