Fresh off back to back wins, JFR is Red Hot Heading into Houston

RED HOT BRITTANY FORCE RACES INTO TEXAS

HOUSTON, TX – It took 75 races for Brittany Force and the Monster Energy Top Fuel team to breakthrough with Brittany Force - 2016 Houstontheir first win but only two races to double that total. Last weekend Force and her Alan Johnson and Brian Husen led team blasted back into the winner’s circle at the Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte. The win extended Force’s points lead in Top Fuel and has the fourth year pro brimming with confidence. This weekend Force will head to the NHRA SpringNationals with three final round appearances and two wins already to her credit.

“People say that the first win is the toughest and it was because it took me till my fourth season. My second one came easier but I wouldn’t say easiest because it is still tough. These guys on my team are the hardest workers that I have seen and they have dedicated everything into this car. Now I get to celebrate with them in the winner’s circle,” said Force, from the Charlotte pressroom.

BRITTANY FORCE WINS FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS

CONCORD, NC – The Monster Energy Top Fuel Dragster team and driver Brittany Force were a juggernaut at Bruton Brittany Force - 2016 Charlotte, winnerSmith’s Bellagio of drag strips today. Over the course of three rounds of Four-Wide racing Force had the quickest Top Fuel dragster in all three quads she raced and when it mattered the most the four year pro used her rapidly improving driving skills to post the best reaction time to secure her second win in three races.

The format for the Four-Wide Nationals presented by Lowes Foods confuses the most veteran of drivers and even as drivers are crossing the finish line at nearly 320 mph they don’t know if they will be celebrating or licking their wounds.

STRONG QUALIFYING EFFORT HAS JFR SET FOR FOUR-WIDE SUCCESS

CONCORD, NC – Heading into the elimination rounds of the 7th annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals presented by Courtney Force - 2016 Charlotte, Saturday - Gary NastaseLowes Foods John Force Racing could not have asked for a better qualifying result. All three John Force Racing Chevrolet Camaros are in separate quads setting up the possibility of advancing three Camaros to the final quad. Led by John Force, No. 3 and Courtney Force, No. 4 and Robert Hight in the No. 9 spot, the trio of Funny Cars are positioned to go rounds on Sunday. The Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster and Brittany Force qualified No. 3 and are looking to pick up their first Four-Wide win at zMAX Dragway.

Brittany Force and her Monster Energy team continued their strong start by posting the quickest run of the first session today and picking up three qualifying bonus points. The 3.751 second run at was .001 quicker than Doug Kalitta and gave the team a secure feeling heading into race day.

BRITTANY FORCE RECOGNIZED WITH SPECIAL HONOR FROM BELMONT ABBEY COLLEGE

CONCORD, NC  – Yesterday before the first qualifying session of the 7th annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals Brittany Force and Belmont Abbeypresented by Lowes Foods Monster Energy Top Fuel driver Brittany Force was recognized as a “Crusader for the Day” by students and faculty from Belmont Abbey College’s Motorsports Management program. The group from Belmont Abbey College toured the John Force Racing pit area and talked with JFR staff members as well as representatives from Monster Energy.

“It was an honor that students from Belmont Abbey came out and gave me a nice certificate of recognition. More than that I think it is cool they are focusing their program project on John Force Racing and the Monster Energy Top Fuel team,” said Force. “I like it because even though I went to Cal State Fullerton and went to school to be a teacher I know where they are at as students. I enjoyed talking to them and hopefully motivating them,” said Brittany Force after the presentation.

J. FORCE, B. FORCE NO. 2 FRIDAY AT ZMAX DRAGWAY FOUR-WIDE

CONCORD, NC – The first day of qualifying at the 7th annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals presented by Lowes John Force - 2016 Charlotte, Friday - Gary NastaseFoods was cut short by persistent rain showers but not before John Force and Brittany Force could race to the provisional No. 2 positions in Funny Car and Top Fuel respectively. The father and daughter tandem will lead the team into the second day of four-wide qualifying at zMAX Dragway starting at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow.

John Force was just a tick slower than the quickest Funny Car missing the No. 1 spot by .005 seconds in his PEAK Antifreeze Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car. The winner of the inaugural Four-Wide Nationals was fired up at the top end after the run.

JOHN FORCE RACING TEAMS UP WITH RICK HENDRICK CITY CHEVROLET

CHARLOTTE, NC – Two racing legends will come together in Charlotte when John Force Racing and Rick Hendrick Hendrick City Chevrolet on  FC_2City Chevrolet team up in a one race multi-faceted marketing partnership. The 18-time championship Funny Car team will drive Chevrolet vehicles to and from the race track while they are racing at the Lowes Foods Four-Wide NHRA Nationals at zMax Dragway in Concord. The City Chevrolet logo will also adorn all four race cars during the three day event.

Vehicles will be provided for John Force 16-time Funny Car champion as well as 2009 NHRA Funny Car champion and current Funny Car points leader Robert Hight, 2012 rookie of the year Courtney Force and Top Fuel points leader Brittany Force, driver of the Monster Energy Drink Top Fuel dragster. In addition to those drivers, the crew chiefs and support staff for the PEAK Antifreeze, Auto Club, Traxxas and Monster Energy teams will also be driving Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet vehicles.

JOHN FORCE EXPECTS FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS TO THRILL FANS

CHARLOTTE, NC – The winningest driver in NHRA history knows that the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals presented Drag Racingby Lowes Foods is a completely different “animal.” Even with 143 Funny Car wins to his credit John Force’s lone win at the Four-Wide coming at the inaugural event in 2010 still sticks in his head.

“I was so confused at that first Four-Wide Nationals. I went up to the starting line on my scooter every chance I got to just watch how the Christmas Tree worked. I was up there for Pro Stock Motorcycle and Pro Stock just to get a feel for how that whole deal worked. I raced in the exhibition race the year before but until you make that first pass with three other Funny Cars all around you, you don’t know what to expect,” said Force.

JOHN FORCE ENJOYS BUSY WEEKEND AT LONG BEACH GRAND PRIX

YORBA LINDA, CA – John Force spent his last free weekend before a grueling stretch of NHRA national events kicks Mario and Forceoff at a race track meeting with sponsors, chatting up racing legends and spending time with hundreds of fans. The 16-time Funny Car champion was easy to spot in his ever present PEAK uniform shirt and white PEAK baseball hat as he cruised the paddock area on Saturday and Sunday.

“I wanted to come out to the Long Beach Grand Prix for a couple of reasons. It is almost a hometown race for me since we live just up the road in Yorba Linda plus this is a great chance to see a lot of my sponsors and get caught up with them,” said John Force. “When I am with my PEAK Chevrolet Funny Car I get pretty wound up, but at the Grand Prix I was able to relax a little bit and have some good talks with a lot of people like Jim Campbell from Chevrolet and Traxxas owners Mike and Keli Jenkins. Mike and Keli even got me in the winner’s circle since Traxxas won the off-road truck race.”

BRITTANY FORCE APPEARS AT MONSTER ENERGY SUPERCROSS ROUND NINE

Indianapolis, IN – Brittany Force has attended Supercross events throughout the years with friends and family, but Brittany Forcetoday was the first time she has represented John Force Racing and NHRA Drag Racing as a Monster Energy athlete. This morning she joined her Monster Energy dragster crew members and thousands of fans at the Monster Energy Supercross Round 9 in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The 2013 NHRA Rookie of the year appeared on Supercross Live for an in-depth interview with respected hosts Jim Holley and Andy Bowyer to start the day. She chatted with team manager Mitch Payton and rider Josh Grant in addition to rider Chad Reed before taking a tour of the pits and the track. Force’s presence at the race included the display of her Monster Energy dragster in the Monster Energy Pit Party before the feature event.

JOHN FORCE RACES TO SEMIFINALS IN LAS VEGAS

-JFR LEADS TOP FUEL AND FUNNY CAR POINTS-

LAS VEGAS – At the close of the 17th annual DENSO Spark Plug NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor John and Courtney Force - 2016 Vegas, spring - Gary NasatseSpeedway John Force Racing held onto the points lead in Top Fuel and Funny Car while John Force raced to the semifinals and moved up to the No. 2 position in the Funny Car point standings.

The PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car started the day with a tough match-up but advanced to the second round with a win over Matt Hagan. John Force took a reaction time advantage and raced to the win light with a winning time of 4.059 seconds at 300.40 mph against Hagan’s 4.061 seconds, 308.07 mph pass.
