BRITTANY FORCE NO. 1 AT ROUTE 66 NATIONALS

JOLIET, IL – The Monster Energy Top Fuel Dragster held onto the No. 1 spot after all four qualifying sessions at the Brittany Force - 2016 Chicago, Saturday - Gary NastaseK&N Filters Route 66 NHRA Nationals. In the first session on Saturday Brittany Force stayed near the top of the performance ladder. She made the third quickest run of the session beside Mac Tools teammate Doug Kalitta who was second quickest of the third session. Force’s 3.800 seconds was a good starting point going into the final qualifying session.

“Today’s conditions will be pretty similar to tomorrow. The main focus was getting two consistent runs down the track today. We got four runs all weekend so we are feeling pretty good. I think we are comfortable going into race day as No. 1. We are not over confident and I am looking forward to seeing what we can do tomorrow,” said Force, who picked up her first No. 1at Route 66 Raceway.

BRITTANY FORCE NO. 1 FRIDAY AT ROUTE 66 NATIONALS

JOLIET, IL – As one of the last race cars down the track at Route 66 Raceway Brittany Force and the Monster Brittany Firce - 2016 Chicago, Friday - Gary NastaseEnergy Top Fuel team gave the fans a treat racing to the provisional No. 1 spot with a track record elapsed time of 3.692 seconds. The fourth year pro came into the session in the No. 3 spot and was pushed back to No. 8 before re-writing the K&N Filters Route 66 NHRA Nationals record books beside Steve Torrence. Force picked up three qualifying bonus points and also valuable confidence going into Saturday’s second day of qualifying.

“I got out and was shocked to see what we ran. That was just such a big jump from our first qualifying run. It felt good and I got out and thanked my team, Brian Husen and Alan Johnson. They are the ones that make it happen. It is a team effort. This is absolutely the best birthday present ever,” said Force who celebrated her 30th birthday today.

NEW CAMARO WITH NEW PAINT SCHEME HIGHTLIGHTS FOR COURTNEY FORCE IN CHICAGO

CHICAGO, IL – Courtney Force and her Traxxas team will not only debut their new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS Courtney Force New Look CamaroFunny Car this weekend at the 19th Annual K&N Filters Route 66 NHRA Nationals, but they will also unveil a new, wild and exciting paint scheme from The Fastest Name in Radio Control for one race only. The 28-year-old driver is the third and final John Force Racing pilot to race the 2016 Camaro SS Funny Car after her teammates John Force and Robert Hight made their first passes down the race track in the sporty design earlier this season.

“I can’t wait to unveil the new Camaro SS Funny Car body with the new Traxxas paint scheme this weekend in Chicago. If the fans loved my last paint scheme they are sure to love this one too! I’m a little nervous going to something so different, but also very excited to get there and try it out. I can’t wait to see what our team can do with it this weekend.

COURTNEY FORCE RUNNER-UP AGAIN IN NORWALK

NORWALK, OH – For the second year in a row, Courtney Force and the Traxxas team are leaving the Summit Racing Courtney Force - 2016 Norwalk Finals - Gary NastaseEquipment NHRA Nationals with a runner-up finish. Force dismissed John Hale, Alexis DeJoria and Tommy Johnson Jr. and advanced to the final round, ultimately moving her from third to second in the NHRA Mello Yello Funny Car point standings, before falling to Ron Capps in the final round.

“It was an awesome weekend for our Traxxas team, The Fastest Name in Radio Control. I’m really excited. We went all the way to the final round today. This is the second year in a row we have gone to the final here. I was really hoping we could get it done this weekend, but I know we have a really good race car and we even gathered enough points this weekend to move our Traxxas team up to the No. 2 position in the points,” said Force.

JOHN FORCE STEPS UP ON SATURDAY AT NORWALK

NORWALK, OH – Conditions warmed up today at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals and the race cars John Force - 2016 Norwalk, Saturday - Gary Nastaseof John Force Racing kept pace posting some of the quickest runs of the day in Funny Car and Top Fuel. Team leader John Force made the biggest improvement qualifying No. 11 after struggling on Friday. Robert Hight and Courtney Force held onto their No. 3 and No. 4 spots respectively with Hight earning two bonus points in the third session. The Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster remained No. 3 and was consistently quick again for the fourth year pro Brittany Force.

Coming into the final day of qualifying John Force was looking to turn his luck around in Norwalk. Luckily for the 16-time Funny Car champion his Jon Schaffer tuned PEAK Antifreeze Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro SS stepped up the performance numbers today during both qualifying sessions. Force posted a strong 4.049 second run at 316.52 mph in the opening session to secure the No. 12 qualifying spot which was important to not have a first round match-up with a JFR teammate.

JFR STACKS UP QUICK TIMES ON FRIDAY AT NORWALK

NORWALK, OH – John Force Racing wrapped up the second session of qualifying at the 10th annual Summit Courtney Force - 2016 Norwalk, Friday - Gary NastaseRacing Equipment NHRA Nationals by running to the top of the Funny Car and Top Fuel fields. During the Friday night session Courtney Force and Robert Hight each spent time as the provisional No. 1 qualifiers in Funny Car and Brittany Force was also on top for a few pairs in Top Fuel. At the end of the day Hight and Brittany Force were No. 3 in their respective classes with Courtney Force one spot behind her teammate and brother-in-law.

Robert Hight and the Auto Club Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car made a career quick run for the second race in a row lighting up the scoreboard with a 3.886 second pass at 327.03 mph. It was a tremendous run that had Hight proudly banging the top of his Funny Car as he climbed out through the roof hatch on the top end.

JOHN FORCE WANT TO WRAP UP FOUR IN A ROW WITH WIN IN NORWALK

NORWALK, OH – The Cleveland Cavaliers wrapped up their first NBA championship with a historic win on Sunday John Force - Sonoma, Saturday - Gary Nastasenight. John Force would like to start the campaign for his unprecedented 17th NHRA Funny Car championship with a win just west of Cleveland in Norwalk, Ohio. The 2014 winner of the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals knows that winning now will go a long ways towards his championship aspirations.

“We want to get into the winner’s circle,” said Force, who has 143 career Funny Car victories. “That is our goal for our sponsors like PEAK Antifreeze and Advance Auto Parts. They have been on this Chevy for a couple weeks and I want to get them a win. This is a tough class and you look at all the other teams and we are bunched up pretty good.”

JOHN FORCE’S INDUCTION INTO LEGENDS OF THUNDER VALLEY SUNDAY’S HIGHLIGHT

BRISTOL, TN – Sunday started with 16-time Funny Car champion John Force being recognized as a Legend of NHRA Drag RacingThunder Valley during the pre-race ceremony at Bristol Dragway. The four-time NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals winner received a plaque, a huge congratulatory banner signed by the fans and his name was added to the façade of the trackside suite tower. Force then led one of the largest track walks in recent memory as thousands of fans joined him along with daughters Brittany and Courtney as they strolled down the race track.

“There have been so many memories for me here at Bristol Dragway. Winning the Funny Car race against the Top Fuel dragsters was huge for me. I always want to entertain people and there are a lot of people I want to thank from the sponsors to the media to all of you fans. I look up at the names on the side of that building and it is an honor to see my name up there,” said Force from the pre-race stage.

HIGHT, B. FORCE HOLD ONTO STRONG QUALIFYING POSITIONS AT BRISTOL DRAGWAY

BRISTOL, TN – Warmer conditions took their toll on performance numbers today at the 16th annual NHRA Robert Hight - 2016 Bristol, Saturday - Richard ShuteThunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway. The benefit to the teams will be better data to evaluate for race day and the teams of John Force Racing will be looking to pick up their fifth win of 2016. Robert Hight and Brittany Force held onto their No. 3 qualifying positions and every driver held form qualifying in the top half of their respective fields.

Robert Hight and the Auto Club Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car team will head into Sunday with confidence and lane choice over No. 14 qualifier Jeff Diehl. Hight was not able to improve his performance from Friday, a career quickest 3.897 second run, and the 2011 Thunder Valley Nationals winner actually never made it to the finish line under power today. The 2009 Funny Car champion was aggressively attacking the track finding the performance edge needed to go rounds on race day.

B. FORCE, HIGHT MAKE MOST NOISE IN THUNDER VALLEY

BRISTOL, TN – The first day of the 16th annual Thunder Valley Nationals wrapped up with strong performances Brittany Force - 2016 Bristol, Friday -  Auto Imagery/Richard Shutefrom Brittany Force’s Monster Energy Top Fuel team and Robert Hight’s Auto Club Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car team. Both drivers ended the day as provisional No. 3 qualifiers and made strong early pushed to be considered favorites to win on Sunday.

The Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster made two consistently quick runs posting the third quickest run of each Top Fuel session. Brittany Force, who is No. 4 in the point standings and coming off a semifinal finish in Englishtown, knows that positive start has the fourth year pro hopeful for a long weekend.

“It definitely feels like the Monster Energy team is back. Two good runs on Friday afternoon and Friday night. They were actually awesome runs. I am looking for two more tomorrow. I feel positive about this weekend. Thunder Valley is one of my favorite tracks. The fans out here are awesome. To be able to get a win here is what I want more than anything,” said Force. “This is one of my favorite tracks on the circuit, this weekend is Father’s Day, my dad is going into the Hall of Fame there are just a number of important things going on and to be able to win at a track that is this spectacular would be awesome.”
