Camrie Caruso Big Strides in 2023 Lead to High Hopes for 2024
MOORESVILLE, NC – Second year Pro Stock driver Camrie Caruso made huge strides driving the Tequila Comisario Chevrolet Camaro
during the 2023 NHRA season. The 25-year-old third generation drag racer won twice in 2023 picking up her first Wally at the Arizona Nationals and securing victory at the first Pro Stock Allstar Callout event held during the Gerber Collision & Glass Rt. 66 NHRA Nationals in Chicago, outlast seven fellow Pro Stock competitors. For the second time in her career, she finished the regular season in the Top Ten and last year she made improvements in the Countdown racing to multiple quarterfinal finishes. During the PRI Show in Indianapolis the rising star of the Pro Stock ranks took stock of her second season and looked ahead to a promising 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag racing Series championship run.
What did that Arizona Nationals win mean to you when you look back at your 2023 season?
“They were really special because the year prior our first Pro Stock round win came at the Arizona Nationals,” said Caruso. “Phoenix has always been a great track for us to go to so to win that with we had all our sponsors there was just really special. I am excited we get to go back as defending champs. We had so much support leading up to that race and then after that win it was cool to be able to talk about Tequila Comisario, Powerbuilt Tools, Big Jeff Audio, VP Racing Lubricants and so many of our other partners about that win.”

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Multi-time Pro Stock winner Camrie Caruso will chase her first NHRA Mission Food Drag Racing Series Pro Stock
world championship with Tequila Comisario primary branding adorning her Chevrolet Camaro race car for 20 of the 21 NHRA national events and the PRO Superstar Shootout, February 8-10, 2024, at Bradenton Motorsports Park. The marketing relationship between Caruso and Tequila Comisario has steadily grown over the past three seasons with 2024 marking a major expansion both on and off the track. In addition to the on-track branding Tequila Comisario and Caruso will be working with tracks and off-site promotional partners to introduce even more fans to the ultra-premium tequila. Caruso will also be making select appearances in advance of NHRA national events to promote Tequila Comisario and she will continue as a brand ambassador with CW Spirits who handle online purchases for Tequila Comisario.

CARUSO WRAPS UP SECOND SEASON IN POMONA
POMONA, CA – Completing her second season battling the toughest door-slammer competition in the country Camrie Caruso exited in the
first round with her Powerbuilt Tools Tequila Comimsario Pro Stock Chevrolet Camaro at the In-N-Out NHRA Finals today. Through two days of qualifying Caruso steadily improved through four rounds of qualifying entering race day as the No. 9 qualifier. Twenty-two Pro Stock drivers were vying for 16 spots in the field. Caruso opened qualifying as the No. 14 driver after the first round and ended Saturday night sitting No. 9 with a solid 6.517 second pass after her previous two runs lit up the scoreboard in 6.518 seconds. The consistency of her Powerbuilt Tools Tequila Comisario Chevrolet Camaro had the third generation drag racer confident going into race day.
“We switched motors after Las Vegas and we saw immediate improvement,” said Caruso, who races with KB Titan Racing power under the hood. “I knew we had a race car that could compete with anyone. The conditions were pretty good and the track was fast. It was great to have the support of the KB Titan Racing team behind me this weekend and all year.”
Camrie Caruso Ready to Close Out 2023 with Top Ten Finish

an upward trajectory that has carried her Powerbuilt Tools Chevrolet Camaro team throughout the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season. The NHRA Finals will be one final chance for Caruso to secure her first Top Ten finish in the Pro Stock point standings and the third generation drag racer could finish as high a seventh with another strong performance at the famed In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.“This season has flown by and I am looking forward to having a great weekend with my Powerbuilt Tools Chevrolet Camaro team in Pomona,” said Caruso. “Last year when we rolled into Pomona, I felt like we were in the final mile of a marathon with not much left in the tank. This year we have a whole new attitude. We have been going rounds in the Countdown and I think we can step up our performance with our KB Titan Racing power and be in the mix to win this last race.”
The turnaround for Caruso and her Powerbuilt Tools team has been a positive addition to an exciting season of Pro Stock racing. The second-year driver won her first race at the NHRA Arizona Nationals becoming just the second female to stand in an NHRA Pro Stock winner’s circle. On the heels of that win Caruso rolled into the Winternationals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip and grabbed the No. 1 qualifier and raced to the semifinals. It was a solid back-to-back race stretch that set Caruso up for a solid second season.
CARUSO EXITS VEGAS LOOKING FOR TOP TEN FINISH
LAS VEGAS – With one more race on the schedule, second year Pro Stock driver Camrie Caruso is looking to make her first Top Ten finish
exiting the NHRA Nevada Nationals. The third generation drag racer has worked her way up the NHRA ranks from Junior Dragster to the most competitive door-slammer class in the world, NHRA Pro Stock.
Driving the Powerbuilt Tequila Comisario Day of the Dead Chevrolet Camaro Caruso made four solid qualifying runs on Friday and Saturday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. On Saturday Caruso made her quickest run in qualifying a solid 6.632 second pass at 205.63 mph which moved her up to No. 10 before she settled into the No. 12 position coming into race day.
“We were consistent in qualifying, but we just couldn’t break through to get into the top half,” said Caruso, who won the first Pro Stock Allstar Callout specialty race. “This class is so tight when it comes to performance and our KB Titan Racing cars have been doing really well. We didn’t make great runs on Saturday, but we stepped up on Saturday.”
Camrie Caruso Looking to Race into Nevada Nationals Winners Circle
MOORESVILLE, NC – Second year Pro Stock driver Camrie Caruso is looking to drive her Powerbuilt Tools/Tequila Comisario Day of the
Dead Chevrolet Camaro into the winner’s circle this weekend at the NHRA Nevada Nationals to close out a successful sophomore season. After collecting Rookie of the Year honors last year Caruso won her first national event, the NHRA Arizona Nationals, and taken the trophy as the first ever Pro Stock Allstar Callout champion in 2023. With two more races left on her NHRA schedule Caruso is poised to secure a spot in the Pro Stock Top Ten for the first time and become a multi-time Pro Stock national event winner.
“Our Powerbuilt Tools/Tequila Comisario Chevrolet Camaro has been running really well during the Countdown there are just a ton of great cars in this category,” said Caruso. “We just need everything to come together on race day and we could see four win lights for sure. I love that we get four qualifying runs and that will give us some great data. This KB Titan Racing team is looking to have a long day on Sunday.”
Racing with KB Titan Racing power for the first time this season Caruso has shown dramatic improvement under the hood and behind the steering wheel. As a rookie driver and team owner last season Caruso’s schedule was packed with team and driver duties. This season under the KB Titan Racing umbrella Caruso has been able to focus on driving and marketing her upstart team. The transition continues to evolve but the ability to focus more on the racecar has been a blessing for Caruso.
CAMRIE CARUSO RACES TO QUARTERFINALS AT TEXAS FALL NATIONALS
DALLAS – Racing for the second time at the Texas Motorplex and the NHRA Texas Fall National 2022 NHRA Rookie of the Year Camrie
Caruso made progress this year advancing to the quarterfinals. Driving a pink Tequila Comisario Chevrolet Camaro that was drawing attention to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on behalf of a marketing program coordinated by Solid Start/True Brand. Leading up to and throughout the race Caruso talked about the importance of early detection and the important work the NBCF was doing across the country.
When qualifying started on Friday and Saturday Caruso was focused on holding onto her position in the top ten and advancing up the point standings. In a tough Pro Stock field Caruso drove her Tequila Comisario Chevrolet Camaro with KB Titan Racing power to the No. 13 spot in the field of 23 race cars. Her quickest time of 6.506 seconds came during the third qualifying session to start the day on Saturday.
“I felt really good going into the first round,” said Caruso, who took a win earlier this year at the Arizona Nationals. “I am just very comfortable in this Tequila Comisario Chevrolet Camaro and my team has been working really well together. Everyone at KB Titan Racing has been focused on putting all our teams in a position to win. I was really happy to get that first round win because it just meant more air time for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.”
CARUSO LOOKING TO TEXAS FALL NATIONALS FOR COUNTDOWN MOMENTUM

in 2023 at the 38th annual NHRA Texas Fall Nationals this weekend. The second-year pro won the Arizona Nationals earlier this year and now she is battling some of the toughest Pro Stock drivers in the world for her first NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Pro Stock world championship. Entering the fourth race of the Countdown, Caruso is sitting No. 9 in the point standing but a strong effort at Texas Motorplex could catapult her into the middle of the Pro Stock top ten.

“The Pro Stock class is stacked with talent and we just need to get on a roll and see what we can do over these last three Countdown races,” said Caruso. “Last year was our first Countdown experience and we are already having more success. These cars are all about seat time and getting laps under your belt. I am so thankful we have won as many rounds as we have this season. My Tequila Comisario team has been awesome and I am really looking forward to the Stampede of Speed and Texas Fall Nationals.”
In addition to the Arizona Nationals win Caruso won the first NHRA Pro Stock Allstar Callout race contested during the Gerber Collision & Glass Rt 66 Nationals outside Chicago. Caruso was one of eight Pro Stock competitors that qualified for the big money Pro Stock race and she outlasted multi-time world champions and national event winners to emerge as the winner.
CAMRIE CARUSO’S CAMARO GOES PINK FOR TEXAS FALL NATIONALS
MOORESVILLE, NC – 2022 NHRA Rookie of the Year and Pro Stock championship contender Camrie Caruso is turning pink for the NHRA
Texas Fall Nationals in support of Fuel Juels and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Caruso’s traditional gold and dark blue Chevrolet Camaro will take on a spectacular pink design for the fourth race of the NHRA Countdown playoffs. The young driver is excited to be promoting such an important cause at such a critical time in the playoffs.
“All eyes will be on our team during this race because it is the playoffs and we are trying to move up to get that first championship, so this is the perfect time to raise awareness for the National Breast Cancer Foundation,” said Caruso, who has been active with several charitable endeavors this season. “Organizations like the National Breast Cancer Foundation are great because they focus on paying for mammograms for women who can’t afford them and do so much to educate women about the importance of screenings for early detection. There are a lot of teams in the NHRA supporting breast cancer research and awareness and I am proud to be working with NBCF to support their efforts.”
On Thursday before the NHRA Texas Fall Nationals Caruso will visit the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Dallas along with representatives from Solid Start/True Brand. She will be learning more about the foundation as well as creating some social media content to help raise awareness for breast cancer research.
TOUGH DAY FOR CAMRIE CARUSO AT MIDWEST NATIONALS
ST. LOUIS – Exiting the NHRA Midwest Nationals Camrie Caruso and the Tequila Comisario Chevrolet Camaro will be looking forward to
making a move over the final three Countdown races. The 2022 NHRA Rookie of the Year made the best of two qualifying runs on Friday and Saturday rolling into race day as the No. 10 qualifier. Caruso’s quickest time of 6.582 seconds at 208.39 mph on Friday set her up against Pro Stock veteran Aaron Stanfield, who she most recently raced and defeated in the final round of the first Pro Stock Allstar Callout race at the Gerber Collision & Glass Rt. 66 Nationals in Chicago.

“I felt good heading into the first round even though we didn’t have lane choice,” said Caruso. “This Tequila Comisario Camaro made some consistent runs and I really felt like we were in a great spot. We have been making good runs the past couple of races.”
In the opening round Caruso pulled up beside Stanfield as the second pair of Pro Stock cars. When the tree fired Stanfield took a starting line advantage, but Caruso was right with him as they powered down the track. Caruso’s Camaro made a run that was a little off her best qualifying time while Stanfield’s Camaro picked up. At the finish line it was Caruso with a 6.587 second run just behind Stanfield’s 6.566 second pass.
