Pro Stock’s Camrie Caruso Makes Impressive Showing at NHRA Winternationals

POMONA, CA – Pro Stock standout Camrie Caruso leveled up this weekend during the NHRA Winternationals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip in Pomona, Calif. Not only did the skilled driver launch her way onto the ladder with an impressive No. 3 qualifying position, but she also raced to a quarterfinal finish.

After struggling to qualify in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season opener in Gainesville, Florida two weeks prior, Caruso and her team were determined to make a better showing coming into Pomona. Their tenacity and testing certainly paid off as they hit the track with a fantastic first qualifying pass of 6.588 seconds at 208.62 MPH on Friday evening.

Inclement weather on Saturday derailed the usual qualifying schedule but Caruso didn’t let that deter her. As the skies cleared on Saturday evening, she laid down a blistering pass of 6.557 at 208.88 to leap to the No. 3 spot. “We qualified really well,” said Caruso. “After Gainesville, we went back and got to work. We went testing and showed up here ready to rock.”

Camrie Caruso Makes the Most of Frustrating NHRA Season Opener, Indicates Plans to Test Ahead of Pomona

GAINESVILLE, FL – Mother Nature thwarted the plans of some of the NHRA’s best drivers, including Pro Stock standout Camrie Caruso, at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway. The talented driver experienced her first DNQ (Did Not Qualify) at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season opener thanks in part to the final qualifying session being canceled due to inclement weather.

This was the first time in Caruso’s incredible Pro Stock career that she did not get into the qualifying field. With 22 Pro Stock machines on the property and only 16 spots on the ladder, Caruso just missed the cut qualifying No. 17 with a pass of 6.599 seconds at 208.84 mph.

Each of Caruso’s qualifying attempts improved upon the previous one, demonstrating her signature persistence and dedication to improvement as she worked to power her Aqua Prop/Big Jeff Audio/True Brand Chevrolet Camaro into the field.

Pro Stock Standout Camrie Caruso Teams Up with New Primary Partner Aqua Prop, Racing in Tandem with CEO Brandon Foster

MOORESVILLE, NC – Pro Stock standout Camrie Caruso announced today that she is pleased to partner with Aqua Prop for the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. Caruso plans to drive her powerful Pro Stock machine alongside Aqua Prop’s CEO, Brandon Foster, who is committed to competing in at least 15 national events this season. Both Caruso and Foster will banner the Aqua Prop logo as their primary partner in 2024.

Aqua Prop utilizes innovation and technology to provide wet sand solutions for the oil and gas industry. Most importantly, Aqua Prop is hiring. Foster feels that representation in NHRA Drag Racing will attract the caliber of hard-working and dedicated individuals needed at Aqua Prop.

“My goal for the season would be to go out there and make a splash and not just be a placeholder in the class,” said Foster. “We definitely want to get a few No. 1 qualifiers and race wins under our belt and see where we stand at the Countdown to the Championship. I don’t cut corners and I’m not going to start with this, so we should be right there with the rest of them.

Camrie Caruso Makes Early Season Strides at Inaugural PRO Superstar Shootout

BRADENTON, FL – After nearly a week of testing Pro Stock championship contender Camrie Caruso wrapped the three-day inaugural SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout today at Bradenton Motorsports Park. The third-year pro driving the Aqua Prop Chevrolet Camaro powered by Big Jeff Audio and True Brand made four quality runs of the two days of qualifying leading up to race day. Sixteen Pro Stock cars made the field and on Friday night a random chip draw matched first round opponents. For a first-time event the stands were packed and the competition was fierce.

“We knew it would be tough to make the field with all the top tier Pro Stock cars on the property,” said Caruso, a multi-time NHRA Pro Stock winner. “Our goal was to get into the show and then see how the chips fell. We got in and that gave us a chance for the big money. We drew Aaron Stanfield and he is a tough racer. I felt good going into the first round today.”

Stanfield along with Caruso is a rising star in the Pro Stock ranks and one of the stars that drew record setting crowds this weekend to Bradenton Motorsports Park. Both cars had a chance to turn on four win lights today and walk away with the $125,000 top prize. Stanfield got a jump off the starting line and never trailed in the race as Caruso made her slowest run of the week.

CARUSO RAISES VOLUME WITH RETURN OF BIG JEFF AUDIO IN 2024

MOORESVILLE, NC – During the 2023 Charlotte Four-Wide Nationals Pro Stock standout Camrie Caruso brought Florida-based Big Jeff Audio on board as primary sponsor and while rain impacted the race it did not dampen the marketing opportunity throughout the season. Following that race Big Jeff Audio was prominently featured on Caruso’s KB Titan Racing Chevrolet Camaro through the season that saw Caruso win the Pro Stock All-Star Callout event in Chicago and race into the Countdown as a championship contender. Heading into the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series Big Jeff Audio will return as a major associate with big plans for making an impact with NHRA fans across the country.

“Last year was the first year with Big Jeff Audio and we learned a lot along the way,” said Caruso, winner of the 2023 NHRA Arizona Nationals. “They came on board after the season started so we are getting even more of a jump on their marketing efforts starting with the PRO race in February and then the season kick off at the Gatornationals. Their product lines are perfect for NHRA fans and anyone interested in sound systems, security systems or car audio. We are excited to be working with Big Jeff again this season.”

SOLID START/TRUE BRAND RETURN AS MAJOR ASSOCIATE WITH CAMRIE CARUSO FOR 2024 SEASON

MOORESVILLE, NC – Building on a successful 2023 season with Camrie Caruso and the KB Titan Racing Chevrolet Camaro Pro Stock team, Florida-based Solid Start/True Brand will return in 2024 as a major associate on the world championship contending Pro Stock team. In 2023 True Brand debuted Solid Start, a second-generation manufacturer of performance additives and treatments for all types of engines, fuel systems, gear/transmissions, and hydraulic systems, at the historic NHRA Gatornationals.  Caruso and Solid Start/True Brand built on that success with national car displays and a full primary design for the Texas Fall Nationals. This season the program will continue to highlight a variety of Solid Start/True Brand products as well as a longstanding relationship with the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

“Last year we introduced Solid Start/True Brand to the NHRA at the Gatornationals and built on that success all the way into the Countdown at the Texas Fall Nationals when we ran the pink National Breast Cancer Foundation Chevrolet Camaro,” said Caruso, a two-time winner in 2023. “This year we are going to make the program even better with Solid Start/True Brand as a major associate. They will be on the car of course, but we are also going to really strive to spread the word about great work the National Breast Cancer Foundation is doing beyond just having a pink car in October at Texas Motorplex.”

Camrie Caruso Big Strides in 2023 Lead to High Hopes for 2024

MOORESVILLE, NC – Second year Pro Stock driver Camrie Caruso made huge strides driving the Tequila Comisario Chevrolet Camaro during the 2023 NHRA season. The 25-year-old third generation drag racer won twice in 2023 picking up her first Wally at the Arizona Nationals and securing victory at the first Pro Stock Allstar Callout event held during the Gerber Collision & Glass Rt. 66 NHRA Nationals in Chicago, outlast seven fellow Pro Stock competitors. For the second time in her career, she finished the regular season in the Top Ten and last year she made improvements in the Countdown racing to multiple quarterfinal finishes. During the PRI Show in Indianapolis the rising star of the Pro Stock ranks took stock of her second season and looked ahead to a promising 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag racing Series championship run.

What did that Arizona Nationals win mean to you when you look back at your 2023 season?

“They were really special because the year prior our first Pro Stock round win came at the Arizona Nationals,” said Caruso. “Phoenix has always been a great track for us to go to so to win that with we had all our sponsors there was just really special. I am excited we get to go back as defending champs. We had so much support leading up to that race and then after that win it was cool to be able to talk about Tequila Comisario, Powerbuilt Tools, Big Jeff Audio, VP Racing Lubricants and so many of our other partners about that win.”
