ADRL ANNOUNCES XPS SHOOTOUT – REVAMPS RULES TO ALLOW EFI

Lake St. Louis, MO — Officials from the American Drag Racing League announced today that longtime sponsor Sonny’s Racing Engines
will join BigStuff3 in sponsoring the inaugural Bert Jackson Memorial Shootout for Extreme Pro Stock Competitors in 2013. The Sonny’s Racing Engines Bert Jackson Memorial Shootout presented by BigStuff3 will take place during qualifying at the ADRL World Finals IX at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas, on Saturday, October 19, 2013.
It was also announced that the two companies will be posting more than $50,000 in contingency to ADRL competitors in 2013. As a result, the ADRL Technical Services Department has approved Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) for use in its Extreme Pro Stock class for 2013 and beyond.
ANDY MCCOY RACE CARS TO POST $48,000 IN CONTINGENCY FOR 2013 ADRL TOUR

Lake St. Louis, MO — Officials from the American Drag Racing League announced today that longtime partner and innovative chassis
builder Andy McCoy Race Cars will return as a major sponsor for the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech. AMRC will post $48,000 in contingency across six ADRL classes in 2013.
“Everyone at AMRC was ecstatic when the Nowling and Switzer families reacquired the ADRL,” said AMRC owner Andy McCoy. “The response from our customers has been equally enthusiastic. We all agree that under their leadership the ADRL has a very bright future.”
AMRC’s latest creation, a sleek new ’69 Chevelle body, was recently approved by the ADRL’s Technical Services Department for competition in the ADRL beginning in 2013.

contingency to ADRL competitors during the upcoming 2013 season.

for all 2013ADRL tour events.
“Our team has worked very hard to simplify and streamline the entire online event pre-registration process,” said ADRL CEO Jessica Nowling. “Since reacquiring the company many of our competitors expressed their desire for a more efficient online pre-registration process. We have worked hard to provide them with just that and believe that they will be pleased with the results.”

Transportation Services in Muscatine, Iowa, has been named the presenting sponsor of the ADRL Spring Drags IV, May 18 – 19 at Cordova Dragway Park, in Cordova, Ill.
Jason Curry and his family are no strangers to drag racing or Cordova Dragway Park and will be sponsoring the Curry’s Transportation Services Pro Extreme Camaro driven by Monte Grace at most, if not all, of the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech events.

been named as presenting sponsor for the 2013 ADRL Tour. It was also announced that the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech will payout in excess of $1 Million dollars in prize monies and contingencies to its competitors.
“This is a landmark day for the entire ADRL, our race teams and our loyal fans,” said ADRL President Kenny Nowling. “Speedtech has been a loyal marketing partner since the 2005 season and they, like us, are virtually re-launching their company with the same people who founded it. This is an ideal partnership that will allow both of our companies to re-establish ourselves as industry leaders.”
PAT MUSI RACING ENGINES PARTNERS WITH ADRL FOR 2013 TOUR

Lake St. Louis, MO — Officials from the American Drag Racing League announced today that legendary Pro Mod racer and engine
builder Pat Musi’s company, Pat Musi Racing Engines, will post over $38,000 in contingency for ADRL racers using one of his engines in their race car during the 2013 season.
“I will be at every ADRL event to support and help my customers,” said Musi. “I’m taking a year off from driving so that I can dedicate myself to my engine program and my customers. I’m especially looking forward to working with my customers in the ADRL Top Sportsman and Top Dragster classes since my daughter will be competing in the ADRL Top Sportsman division.”
Among the ADRL racers using Musi engines are Rickie Smith, Robert Patrick and, of course, his daughter, Lizzy Musi.

Lake St. Louis, MO — Officials from the American Drag Racing League announced today that legendary chassis builder Jerry Bickel
Race Cars will once again be partnering with the series for the 2013 tour. JBRC will be posting contingency in excess of $20,000.00 in five ADRL classes for 2013.

Lake St. Louis, MO — The American Drag Racing League today announced their rules for the 2013 season. The complete rules for all nine classes are available at www.adrl.us/competition/rules/
Most of the rules are unchanged from last season, with some exceptions:
PRO EXTREME
• The minimum weight at the conclusion of the run, including driver, is 2,200 lbs.
• The use of nitromethane is prohibited.
• RF SHTUDOWN RECEIVER: Properly functioning Electrimotion shutoff device (part numbers SB001 and RF001) recommended.
JEFFERS PRO CARS TO PAY $50,000 TO FIRST ADRL PRO EXTREME CUSTOMER TO RUN A 3.40

Lake St. Louis, MO — Officials from the American Drag Racing League announced today a multi-year marketing partnership with Jeffers
Pro Cars. In addition to posting $36,000 in contingency, Jeffers Pro Cars will pay an unprecedented $50,000 to the first one of their customers to run at 3.499 or quicker in ADRL Pro Extreme competition.
“Drag Racing has always been about raising the performance bar and breaking barriers,” said ADRL President Kenny Nowling. “The history of our sport is full of significant performances, not the least of which being drag racing legend Bill Kuhlmann’s barrier-breaking pass where he became the first driver over 200 mph in a doorslammer.
“Even though that was a hugely significant accomplishment, Kuhlmann got nothing more than qualifying money for his effort.”
