The K&N Horsepower Challenge is a special race within a race for eight competitors in Pro Stock. The first seven positions are determined by points earned at races since the last Challenge, and the eighth position is decided by a fan vote.

The winner of the K&N Horsepower Challenge earns a $50,000 prize, with $10,000 awarded to the runner-up, $3,000 to the two semifinalists, and $2,500 to each of the four first-round finishers.

Morgan, who has been racing in Pro Stock since 1987, has won the Challenge three times in his career (1989, 1990, and 1992) and was runner-up in 1995.

As part of the Challenge, K&N and Toyota have partnered to offer eight lucky fans a trip for two to Las Vegas to participate.

Each finalist will be paired with one of the eight Pro Stock drivers who qualified for the Challenge, and the finalist who is paired with the winning driver will win a 2014 K&N Horsepower Challenge Edition Toyota Tacoma.
