V. Gaines set his sites on Thunder Valley

Bristol, TN – For the third weekend in a V Gaines and his Kendall Motor Oil Dart have set up camp and are ready to do battle. This weekend the guys are at Bristol Raceway. The track is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by big trees, green grass, and fans that know this is a special place.

With just a few days off the guys worked non-stop on the Kendall Motor Oil Dart. It’s hard to sugar coat how things went in Epping last week as the Dart seemed to have a mind of it’s own on almost every run. ” We were calling this thing Christine last week, it just wouldn’t play nice” Rick tells us.

One of the things you know if you follow NHRA racing is “You need to have a short memory” and that is the feel around the Kendall camp. What’s done is done and now the focus is on this weekend and getting the car back where everyone knows it should be. “Everything we do is about combinations…we know our power is good if not great, we have a killer chassis, and I have a great crew…the combination is there and we will make good things happen” V Gaines.

This will be a special weekend as all the dads will be celebrating Father’s Day with us on Sunday. “Sure hope all the dads stop by with their kids and say Hi” V.
