V Gaines Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals Lucas Oil Raceway at Indy

As we all turn our calendars to the first or four “Ber” months some thoughts are about kids going back to school, fall colors, the summer projects that won’t get done, and yes the holiday season is right around the corner… If you are an NHRA Drag Race fan though all thoughts are about the U.S Nationals in Indy. The biggest, baddest, and coolest drag race ever. The “Big Go” as it is known.

V and the Kendall Motor Oil guys have the same thoughts….Indy Time. The 2015 Mello Yello season may not be going as scripted but I can tell you a strong showing in Indy can change a teams summer. Three days of qualifying and race day on Monday make the U.S. Nationals a special event.

V and the guys stopped off in St. Louis for some testing early in the week as they continue to work on the Kendall Motor Oil Dart. Rolling into Indy late Wednesday to set up camp for the Labor Day weekend race and the opportunity to spend time with friends and fans.

“Testing went well” V tells us. “We are chasing some things in our set-up but we know we are close and the we should be strong this weekend”

Speaking of kids in school Ms. Forbyn and her class in SLC have started their year. They are starting a program to help with their studies.

“We are creating our Hero Board. It is full of pictures of people who know the importance of team work and never quit trying. These hardworking kids made their math goals. We are feeling proud!”

We wish them all a super school year.
