TOP FUEL ROOKIE BRITTANY FORCE THROWS FIRST PITCH AT INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS GAME
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Castrol EDGE Top Fuel pilot Brittany Force showed off her baseball skills as she threw out the first pitch at
Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis Tuesday night for the Indianapolis Indians minor league game.
The Auto Club Road of Southern California to the Future Award candidate alongside fellow competitor Shawn Langdon (see attached photo), participated in the ceremonial event as part of this week’s festivities to kick off the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway. This event is NHRA’s “Super Bowl Week” and what better way to start things off than with a great game of baseball and an autograph session to meet all the local fans.
“It was definitely something different,” Force said. “I’ve never done anything like that before, so it was a cool experience. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to do something like that again in the future.”
Despite this being Force’s first time to a minor league game, sports isn’t something new to the 27-year-old Yorba Linda, California native. She has previously attended a National Football League game in the city known as the “mecca of drag racing.”
“This was my first minor league baseball game in Indianapolis.” Force said. “This was all new to me and I had a great time. I went to the Colts football game a few years ago, which was a lot of fun. Being there in person and watching baseball out at Victory Field, sitting up there in the stands and watching the game is completely different from just watching it on television.”
