TNT Super Series returns to Lancaster Dragway this Friday Night

Dataclutch Data Acquisition presents RACE 5 in the 10 race season!

LANCASTER, NY – After a month off, the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series will get back on track this Friday July Dataclutch15 at Lancaster Dragway. The most popular sportsman series in the country will be part of the Nitro Night of Fire at the western New York facility.

Presented by Dataclutch Data Aquisition Recorders, this weekend’s race marks the midpoint of the TNTSS season. Racer turnout is always strong, especially in the heat of the summer at Lancaster. “We have had some of our best car counts mid-summer at Lancaster’s 1/8th mile,” said Ted Barnes. “I wouldn’t be surprised to see 35 or even 40 cars on Friday.”

TNTSS championship points leader Jim Thomson will be looking to widen the gap while the rest of the field will be trying to reel him in. Thomson sits in first place with 336 points. He’s got Dave Gunn only two rounds behind him at 315. Then Harry Phelps with 290, Billy Ryan at 287 and a tie with Bill Elekes and David Surmatchewski with 280 each make up the top five – All of them only separated by one round.

Racer gates open Friday at 3pm with the first of two qualifying sessions getting underway at 5pm. Visit www.lancasternationalspeedway.com for more information.
