The Force Sisters Invade Dave’s Show
Corona, CA – On Sunday night, August 30, 2015 at 8:30pm ET, Brittany and Courtney Force invade Dave’s show with
the revelation that 16 time World Funny Car Champion John Force does not always know best. Both sisters are having very successful racing careers, with Brittany breaking the Force Racing, Funny Car mold by competing in Top Fuel, and Courtney piloting a Funny Car, often going head-to-head with her dad in competition. But much to their chagrin, dad is never short of giving advice especially on the start line before the Christmas Tree lights up.
“I’m just getting ready to fire up the engine and he has his head under the body of my car telling me things like,’don’t forget to do this,’ I say dad you can’t do this anymore.” Courtney Force.
Brittany Force broke the family Funny Car mold when she qualified to drive a Top Fuel dragster in competition. In 2014 she raced to four runner-up finishes (Phoenix, Joliet, Denver, and Reading) and started from the Number 1 spot three times (Topeka, Bristol and Sonoma). She had top speed of the meet at three of 24 events and posted a new career best ET and speed in Reading, Pa. with a stellar 3.733 second run at 329.91 mph. In May, 2015, she unveiled her new ride for the Mello Yello Top Fuel series – a 10,000 horsepower dragster sponsored by Monster Energy.
Early in 2014, Brittany was awarded RACER magazine’s Rookie of the Year for all Motorsport, winning with a staggering 78 percent of votes.
Elder sister (by two years), Courtney Force has emerged as one of the most exciting young stars in the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Series, driving the Traxxas Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car. Blessed with her father’s gift of the gab, the former high school cheerleader has become one of the most popular interviewees in the series. Courtney is in her fourth season in Funny Car and is a true championship contender after three strong Top Ten finishes in 2012 (5th), 2013 (7th) and 2014 (4th). Courtney has qualified for every national event, started from the front of the Funny Car field seven times, driving her Funny Car to thirteen final rounds and claiming seven Funny Car victories.
Courtney and her sister Brittany made history at the 2014 NHRA Kansas Nationals in Topeka, when the pair qualified at the top of their respective racing categories. Courtney then doubled up on the history-making when she picked up the 100th professional win for women on that Sunday.
