Texas Motorplex, Capco, Car Wrap City Host Hundreds of Guests from Chris Kyle Frog Foundation Saturday at FallNationals

ENNIS, TX – During Memorial Day weekend earlier this year, the Texas Motorplex and Kilgore-based Capco Contractors teamed up to offer NHRA drag racing fans the chance to buy specially discounted tickets for the 34th annual AAA Texas FallNationals. In addition to the discount with each ticket purchased, Capco and the Texas Motorplex donated an additional ticket to the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. On Saturday, October 19, nearly 400 veterans, first responders, and spouses representing the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation will attend the races and enjoy a meet and greet with Top Fuel world champion Steve Torrence, co-owner of Capco Contractors.

“We have had a great relationship with Steve Torrence because is he a tremendous Texan and a great supporter of our military and first responders,” said Andy Carter, Texas Motorplex General Manager. “He has been working with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation for a number of years and we wanted to do something really special for this group. We received awesome support from our fans and we will be able to host nearly 400 people on Saturday at the races. We felt it was the least we could do for these folks that sacrifice so much for us every day all over Texas and around the world.”

The guests from the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation will be hosted in the Car Wrap City track-side hospitality tent for lunch provided by McAlister’s Deli. In addition to great seats and food, Top Fuel world champion and 2019 NHRA regular season Top Fuel champion, Steve Torrence will also make a special appearance during the race to sign autographs and host a Q&A.

“We want to thank Steve as well as Billy and ‘Mama Kay’ (Torrence) from Capco for their longstanding support of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation,” said Taya Kyle, Executive Director with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. “This is an amazing gift to give our service couples. We appreciate the Texas Motorplex and Car Wrap City for their generosity. Doing something new together increases bonding exponentially. We are grateful our service couples get to have this VIP race experience.”

The AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals will be contested from October 18-20 with two days of qualifying on Friday and Saturday. Nitro qualifying times for Friday are 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday the Top Fuel and Funny Car teams will hit the track at 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Final elimination will be contested on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. For tickets and more information visit www.texasmotorplex.com
