Still time to sign up for Eric Medlen Memorial Golf Tournament
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Spaces are still available for golfers who want to participate in the sixth annual Eric Medlen Memorial Golf
Tournament on Aug. 28 at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Indianapolis.
The tournament, hosted by Morgan and Katie Lucas, benefits the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.
“The response for the tournament has been tremendous,” Morgan Lucas said. “The NHRA community has been so supportive every year we’ve had the tournament, and this year has been no different. We hope more will sign up so we can exceed our past donations to the hospital.”
In addition to Lucas, NHRA drivers slated to participate are Richie Crampton, Steve Torrence, Chad Head, Shawn Langdon, Brandon Bernstein, Erica Enders-Stevens, Hector Arana Sr., Hector Arana Jr., Adam Arana, Larry Morgan, Rodger Brogdon, Clay Millican, Jeg Coughlin Jr., and Allen Johnson.
Medlen, who passed away after a testing accident, was known for being a genuine person with a love for helping others, especially children. The Lucas family began the tournament as a way to honor his memory, as well as help kids at the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital.
The tournament helped raised funds for many special projects at the children’s hospital, including a special MRI room dedicated in Medlen’s honor this past April by the Lucas family.
The Eric Medlen Memorial Golf Tournament kicks off with registration, pictures, raffles, and a silent auction at 8 a.m. Tournament play will start at 9:30 a.m. with cocktails and h’ordeuvres, awards, live auction, and putting contest finals at 3:30 p.m.
