One step closer to his goal, Arana heads to Charlotte confident

CHARLOTTE, NC – With the excitement of the Countdown to the Championship kicking off at the NHRA Carolina Nationals in Charlotte, Pro Adam AranaStock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana is trying not to let the emotions of others distract him.

“I’ve just been trying to stay relaxed before we go to Charlotte,” Arana said. “Unfortunately, I’m not in the Countdown to the Championship this year. Since my dad and brother are though, I’m going to try to help them as much as possible to get a championship.”

Aside from helping his family prep for a championship chase, Arana has continued his constant upgrade on his ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell to find the right balance of horsepower and setup.

“The bike is coming around and finally starting to break through,” Arana said. “I know I keep saying that but it’s finally starting to turn around from where it was at the start of this season. It’s been better every week, and I think it’s going to be even faster this weekend.”

Whether he was in contention to win a championship this year or not, Arana is still focused on the same goal he has had since he entered the Pro Stock Motorcycle class: Win his first race.

“Winning is always going to be a goal of mine, so I’m always going to try my best to make that happen,” Arana said. “I know what I’m capable of and I know what the bike is capable of as well. I’m not going to lose to my dad or brother, I’m just going to try to beat everyone else out there.”

Arana will look to continue his search of his first professional win when qualifying sessions take place at 12:45 and 3 p.m., Friday, and 1 and 3 p.m., Saturday. Eliminations will start at approximately 1 p.m., Sunday, with both qualifying and elimination action broadcast on ESPN2 on tape delay.
