MICKEY THOMPSON PERFORMANCE TIRES AND WHEELS RETURNS TO IHRA’S NITRO JAM DRAG RACING SERIES AS A MAJOR CONTINGENCY SPONSOR

Stow, OH – The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series has begun with Mickey Thompson’s return as a major contingency sponsor. In this role, the company provides contingency awards for all racing classes at 12 national events.

“This series continues to grow with the addition of several new drag strips and an expanded field of competition throughout the season to include national, divisional and junior dragster events,” stated Tom Kundrik, Motorsports Manager for Mickey Thompson. “We are proud to continue our support of the racers on the ground as a contingency sponsor, and look forward to a great season.”

Team M/T 2014 IHRA sportsman class champions included Super Rod Champion, Michael (Mike) Ruff, Super Stock Champion, Scott (Scotty) Stillings and Top Dragster Champion, Kevin Brannon.

Racers are preparing for competition this weekend at the second national event, the IHRA Mardi Gras Nitro Jam scheduled March 13-14 at State Capital Raceway in Port Allen, La.
