MARCH MEET NOSTALGIA FUNNY CAR QUALIFIER LEADS ON MICKEY THOMPSON TIRES

Stow, OH – The NHRA Heritage Series launched its 2016 season with more than 400 racers at the March Meet. The renowned March Meet has graced Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield for more than 50 years.

2015 Nostalgia Funny Car World Champion, Steven Densham led during qualifying for Funny Car in his Camaro, dubbed “Teacher’s Pet”, with an opening session of 5.644 at 253.99 mph and a strong 5.67 in the second session. Densham had the quickest and most consistent Funny Car of the event on Mickey Thompson’s ET Drag 34.5/17.0-16, part number 3186.
